Absolutely wonderful book. I'm always impressed with the readability and artistic elements of the Rebel Girls books. They really aren't just for small girls, they can be a source of inspiration for everyone. This latest addition to the series, Rebel Girls Climate Warriors, is such an important book for us all right now. The women included are so inspiring and I love the extra interactive elements to help people actually do something with that inspiration.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for letting me read this free advance copy in exchange for an honest review!

Reading this book makes me so happy! I wish it had been around when I was little. I feel I would have been able to help the environment so much more. I can't wait to read this book with the girls I babysit.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this book, in exchange for an honest review!

As someone who has always been a fan of the Rebel Girls franchise and as someone who cares for the environment deeply, I think this book was absolutely amazing! The drawings are as adorable and beautiful as always, and I love how they highlight many different women around the world, giving them the recognition that they all deserve.

I love how I, a twenty-five-year-old woman, was completely enamored by this book, so I can only imagine how good of an impact this could be for learning, knowledge-hungry kids. I definitely recommend this to EVERYONE; every gender, every age, every person could benefit from learning about the ways different women helped protect the Earth that we live in. I also love how there are QR codes there for additional information!

I was really excited to pick up this newest installment in the Rebel Girls line and was pleasantly surprised to find that the majority of the women included in this installment were people I'd never heard of. There was a very diverse group of people, from different backgrounds, countries and walks of life, which was really nice to see. I also really appreciated that in this volume there were a number of QR codes that could be scanned to learn more about these individuals, making a way for younger readers to expand their knowledge and learn even more than what is included in the book. I'd say this is a solid installment to the series and inspirational so more people can get involved.

I received an electronic ARC from Rebel Girls through NetGalley.
Readers meet powerful and passionate women who made their own way to promote changes. Each committed their lives to improving the lives of others and saving our planet. The two-page spreads offer short biographies and lovely illustrations for each of the twenty-five. I appreciate the research involved to bring share these women with middle grade level. As they read, they are encouraged to think about the areas shared and then are offered a chance to write their own story at the end of the book. Further activities and challenges are also provided to encourage young people to grow and learn. Another in this series that offers young readers a chance to explore and figure out their own interests and passions.

I love reading these books with my daughter to learn about powerful, real life women who are working to change the world!

It’s almost bedtime and your daughter asks you to tell her a good night story. Now, you start to think… there’s Cinderella, Aurora, Whitesnow, so many princesses and you should pick up some of them, right?
Well… there’s another option: you could tell her about so many women -REAL women- that have done so much in a world that just wanted them to be quiet, cute and smile.
Rebel girls’ book series is the best choice to start with!

After reading a couple of years ago “Goodnight stories for rebel girls” and LOVING IT SO MUCH, I’ve decided to pick up this book.
Actually I didn’t know that there was an entire book series but now i’ll just dive through it.

SO this book was really great.
For every couple of pages there’s the story about a rebel woman that made hers for climate change battle and an illustration that makes us know not only her name but also her face. To me it was like knowing all of them for real, like they were all my new sisters out there in the world fighting for the same purpose⭐️

Pros:
1. this book actually let you know that there is a bunch of women out there that deserves so much and has done so much that just thinking that women can’t do anything in this world isn’t an option anymore.
2. there are women well known but also women that maybe you wouldn’t ever listen about if there wasn’t for this book. Ok, we all know Greta but she’s not alone and she shouldn’t!
3. illustrations are SO GREAT
Cons:
1. You can’t really enjoy it if you want to read it all in once. I think that’s a book you should dilute over time. Enjoy it as you go day after day.
2. The title is impactful and I really loved it but… I started to think that’s not a book just for girls. I think that’s a book for everyone out there and maybe “Rebel GIRLS” cuts out possible young readers that could enjoy it.

Shortly, read this book, love it and recommend it to someone you know, especially those that think that women can’t do something impactful because I assure you they can and they’re already doing it!!!

Many thanks to the authors, the publisher and Netgalley for the eARC!💘

I love this series so much and everyone is full of incredible individuals and gorgeous portraits. This one is even more pertinent and impactful than any of the rest I've read to our contemporary situation.

Not to add to the list of concerns we're facing on a daily basis, but paying attention to how we relate to and treat our world must be at the forefront of out thoughts. This is where this collection comes it to help a starting point in conversations with young people, and not only.
The women whose story we learn about in Rebel Girls Climate Warriors are listed alphabetically, which was a nice touch. There's isn't one field more important then the other, right? These women are inventors, climate activists, zoologists, biologists, entrepreneurs, journalists and filmmakers, and they all find a way to draw attention to how important caring for our world is. There are a lot of names I didn't know. To my shame, I only knew of Margaret Atwood and GretaThunberg, so it was a wonderful opportunity to learn of more climate warriors.
Each warrior gets a full page of information about their work told in easy to read and follow tone. Right under the text, their born date is written and the country they are from. On the right, there's an accompanying full page of their illustrated portrait and a quote by them. The name of the illiustrator is clearly visible on each page. Of course, the illustrator is a woman, which is just perfect. I like this format a lot, which is the same with other Rebel Girls books.
What makes this book even more special is that the women showcased in it are not just activists from long ago, but some are still active, and are of all ages. Some are teenagers, some are in their 40s, some in their 60s, but they all have something to say on the subject of climate change and activism. It's a book I am sure I can use in my class to spark conversations with the students.

This is another one in the series of rebel girls, this time environmentalists. Yes, Greta Thunberg is there, as well as Rachel Carson. And then there are others that you might not of heard of, but who are equally important to helping the environment.

Each of the 25 women featured here have a full page illustration, and a full page short bio, so you know what they did, and how they did it. Some are living, some are dead, but all are cool to read about, and important in their own right.

Great series.

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

An inspiring and diverse book about women who recognize the importance of conserving the environment. Beautifully illustrated and captivating for young rebel girls. I wish a book such as this would have existed when I was growing up.

I loved this book as much if not more than the other Rebel Girls books.
Focusing all on women and young girls who made their name making an impact on environmental issues - the book focusses on the positive these women have done and not the despair and current state of the world. I loved the inclusion of indigenous women from the Americas and other women of colour - as mentioned in one of the profiles only 1% on environmental scientists are women of colour - so it was great to see more than that represented in this book. I love the mix of ages and eras, and the locales of all the women - it really showed that this is an issue any girl anywhere can work on and make a change with.

I love the Rebel Girls series. Through these books, young readers learn about so many interesting people’s dreams, aspirations and accomplishments. This entry takes on one of the most important topics of our time, the environment. Rather than despair, rebel girls show how they are doing something! Learn about 25 women who are doing their best to protect our earth. Just a few among those featured are author Margaret Atwood, climate activist Greta Thunberg and marine biologist Rachel Carson. There are also those whom I just met through these pages including journalist Bernice Notenboom, activist Julia Butterfly Hill and zoologist Lucy King. Each woman’s biography is shared and there is an illustration of her on the accompanying page.

Find inspiration and hope in this excellent collection. There are several special sections at the end of the book.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

It’s no secret I’m obsessed with the Rebel Girls books. I can’t wait for my daughter to be a little older to understand them all. But I’m incredibly grateful such a resource exists. Each edition completely wows me. I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t know of most of the women highlighted in the Climate Warriors book. Wow! Such amazing women we have on our planet. I love the length of these stories and the gorgeous illustrations. Perfect for a classroom resource, bedtime story, lesson, etc. As a teacher and Girl Scout leader these Rebel Girls books are going to make my jobs much more successful. These types of books just didn’t exist when I was a kid and it’s so important to show girls they can do anything. I also LOVE the app feature and QR codes in this book!

This is yet another wonderful addition to the Rebel Girls family. With vibrant illustrations and inspiring stories, Rebel Girls Climate Warriors is a must-buy for those who have kids. And I know that I always learn something new when I crack open a volume.

One of the most interesting additions to this particular volume is the incorporation of QR codes, which allows the reader to access additional audio information about some of the subjects featured in the book. It's a great incorporation of technology that leads to even more great research material and engaging content.

In all, this book lives up to its predecessors and shows that the Rebel Girls series is here to stay. And I, for one, am thrilled that my children have access to such wonderful books.

Thanks to NetGalley and Rebel Girls for providing me with an ARC. All opinions are my own.

A fabulous array of strong female role models and their united front for saving the planet.

A book that can be dipped in and out of or used to support the teaching and understanding of climate change.

I was gifted a copy of this book from @netgalley and Rebel Girls in exchange for an honest review. This book is available on March 29, 2022. ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐
This book would be a great addition to any middle grade library or middle school science class. It tells of women fighting for climate change and I think it would be very inspiring for female and male students alike. I would love to have a hard copy of this in my 4th grade library!
