It may be book 13 in this brilliant Josie Quinn series but its still just as amazing as the first books. Plenty to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout with the usual twists and turns that still kept me guessing in places. The characters are so familiar and likeable they almost feel like family. I wasn't quite expecting the ending though, roll on the next instalment I can't wait,

Well what can I say this book was everything I was expecting it to be brilliant writing , a gripping storyline and oh wow what an ending I can’t wait for the next in the series. This is book 13 in the Detective Josie Quinn series and every book has been amazing and brought something new to the back story of Josie also it’s just like meeting up with an old friend and Lisa Regan just keeps giving us these surprises so long may the books continue.
So everything I love in a read that kept me glued to the page and another 5 star read I am just disappointed that I now have to wait impatiently for the the next in a wonderful series , many many thanks Lisa Regan you do a great job !

Mettner shows up at Josie's house one night before Christmas asking for help. Amber, the Denton PD's press liasion and Mett's girlfriend, is missing. A body is found in the dam and everyone realizes they don't know anything about Amber. The team races to find her and hopes that she is still alive, as her family members comes under suspicion. Large bodies of water scares me. Drowning is one of my fears, especially in frozen water. This book really got my heart racing! Another outstanding Josie Quinn. In this latest installment of the Detective Josie Quinn series, the focus is on Amber, their police department's Press Liaison who we haven't seen too much of in the previous books. I like her character and the fact that this story is centered around her. She's unofficially reported missing to Josie by Detective Finn Mettner, her boyfriend of the past year. He's frantic that he can't reach her and that all of her belongings were left behind in her empty residence. A clue is left on her car which leads the team to the nearby Russell Haven Dam. They don't find her, but they do discover a body.

Amber may not be the victim, but that doesn't mean she's not involved. The team looks closely into Amber's background and her estranged family that she has only ever described as 'toxic.' Does that mean they are dangerous, though? Josie starts fearing for the worse once more bodies are found and the connections keep leading back to Amber and her family. And Mettner doesn't make it easy on the detectives by continually inserting himself into the investigation. That's the last thing he should do as the missing woman's boyfriend! They need to locate Amber alive and unharmed - and not involved in the crimes. But will that be the case?

As usual, this is an engrossing read that you won't be able to put down once you get started. Every Josie Quinn story is a winner so what are you waiting for? Go read this book!

When I first started reading this series a couple years ago, I would finish a book and think to myself, this is my favorite of the series. Then I'd read the next one and think, ok, this one is my favorite! Well, Lisa Regan has done it again!

This book is the 13th in the Josie Quinn Series and you'd think by now the stories must be getting stale, but you'd be wrong. In this book, one of their own goes missing. As they are searching for Amber, the press liaison for the department, they find another woman who looks a lot like Amber, but are unable to rescue her in time. The story continues very quickly. There are so many moving parts, clues and unanswered questions. The entire story takes place in just a few days time, so it was really hard to put this book down! Lisa does an amazing job of describing everything in a way that gives the reader a good visual, but not in so much detail that you think to yourself, ok, just get on with the story. You need those details to truly understand. I love how she tells a story. Just when you think you've figured it out, she throws you a twist that no one could see coming! The only thing I would've liked to see in this book is a little more romance between Josie and Noah. I know this isn't a romance book, but sometimes I feel like we don't get enough of their relationship other than when they are working together and have to stay professional. I'd like to see a little more intimacy between them and I'm not talking about sex scenes, I'm talking about touches, glances, affection, even conversations that aren't work related. Besides that, I loved the book. I love how fast paced it is, I love how all those puzzle pieces fit together by the end and I love how I've come to feel like I know each character in this series.

I would absolutely recommend this book, but only if you've read the others first. While it probably could be read as a standalone, you'll get a much better picture of the characters if you read the series in order.

Wow I can't say enough about this series and author Lisa Regan. This is the 13th book in the series and I was honored to receive this ARC from Netgalley. I have read every book in the series and I am amazed about how good each of the book are and how well written. You can read this book as a stand alone but once you do you will want to read the previous books in the series. Detective Josie Quinn is a strong kick butt female detective who is married to Lt Noah Farley. They both work at the Denton Police Department. Josie is getting ready to sit down to dinner with her family when one of her fellow co-workers Mett knock on the door. His girlfriend who is the PR rep at the police department is missing and he needs Josie help. Next thing you know you have a missing women, three murdered women from the same family and a preacher. Lisa Regan does a great job keeping you on your toes with plot twists and you truly never know the entire story til the end. Highly, Highly recommend!!

Book 13 and every bit as exciting and engrossing as Book 1 was. This series is so amazing. I love the characters. Amber goes missing and Finn is a suspect. Then Josie tries to rescue a woman caught in the rocks at the dam. Bodies keep turning up as Josie and the team unravel the clues to the killer’s identity. It's no secret that Detective Josie Quinn is one of my favorite detective series and one that never seems to let me down. I'm always looking forward to meet up with Josie Quinn and the rest of the team again, and I always feel a little giddy inside whenever a new sequel become available. The Drowning Girls is already book number thirteen of a series that shows no signs of slowing down whatsoever. While not my absolute favorite of the bunch, it's still a more than solid detective thriller with a case that once again hits close to home!

This series in general is one where there is quite some focus on the personal development of the characters as well as the investigations, so it is very important to read the books in order both to avoid spoilers and to fully understand what is in play. Book number thirteen is another one that hits close to home for both Josie Quinn and the rest of her team, so it's definitely important to know the background! Josie herself is still dealing with the events of the previous books, and it has been interesting to see how she tries to overcome past obstacles as well as dealing with this new case where one of their own goes missing.

As always, I liked the balance between the more personal elements and the actual investigation and everything it entails. The writing was just as engaging as always and it was really easy to just keep turning those pages... I do have to say that it was surprisingly easy to guess at least part of the truth, which was a bit of a disappointment to be honest. Also, I never like a religious angle in my stories, but that is just a personal pet peeve I guess. That said, The Drowning Girls was still a very entertaining detective thriller and without doubt a worthy addition to the series. I will be looking forward to the next one!

The author had so many complexly interrelating parts running though out this book it was mind bending. My warning just don't even try to guess the whose and whys, just hang on for the thrilling ride all the way till the end.

Lucky number 13 for Lisa Regan! This is truly one of the best in the series! Fast-paced, great characters, even a few parts that kept me guessing. Definitely recommend - this is one series you truly want to read from book 1.

Truly another great read!! This one literally kept me guessing right up until the end…a twist I never in a million years saw coming!! Then after that twist was one more that snuck up on me!! These characters truly feel like friends that I’ve known for years…each book adds new layers to each character!! Another un-put-downable masterpiece from Lisa Regan!!

Book 13 in the series. It was two weeks before Christmas and Josie had four detectives detecting, three men a lyin’, two women missing, and a preacher with a very sketchy past. When Mett gets placed on suspension during the investigation, Josie is down a detective, and forced to look at one of her own as the perpetrator of violent murders and kidnapped women. Do not even get me started on how I felt when she took off the kid’s gloves on poor little Detective Mettner! Loved this one full 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️thanks to the author and publisher for allowing me to read this one

Another wonder addition to the Josie Quinn series. Amber is missing and Finn could possibly be a suspect. Josie has to put all personal feelings aside and work this case as she would any other.
The puzzle just gets harder to put the pieces together when bodies start to run up at the dam.
This was filled with nonstop action and once I picked it up, I could not put it down.
My absolute favorite part was the end, the little part with Josie and Sawyer, I just loved that.

This is, unbelievably the thirteenth Josie Quinn novel and has everything I have come to expect from this consistently excellent series. There are twists, turns, and bodies galore, the weather is extreme and Josie risks life and limb. What more could you want? The storyline once again is compelling and, as has been gradually happening more and more Josie shows a little more of her insecurities,  to her husband at least.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the opinions expressed are my own. I loved this next installment, thirteen maybe unlucky fir some but definitely not for fans of this much loved series.

Oh, my lanta, this was a wild ride. I think it’s safe to say that THE DROWNING GIRLS, book 13 in the Detective Josie Quinn series, has one of the most intricately crafted plots of this entire series to date. Regan is an absolute master of her craft.

Action packed from the very first page, this was such a captivating read right up until the last words. I swear every book in this series is better than the last.

If you haven’t picked up book 1 of this series yet, I highly recommend!
