Jeannie, who is married to Guy, disappears. Cara and her team investigates, learning about all her friends, family, and past issues.
This is a great book, as so many secrets are discovered during the investigation into Jeannie's disappearance. All the characters are connected, and it is hard to know who to believe. Who should really be with a different partner, and what effects of secrets in the past have on relationships now?
Excellent mystery novel

Who’s Lying now is another wonderful novel by Susan Lewis. Jean Simons’s is a successful publisher who has been staying at her holiday home, Howarth Hall at Westleigh Heights in Kesterly-on-Sea , during the covid lockdowns. She normally lives in London with her husband Guy Symond, a neurosurgeon at St George's Hospital. Guy returns to Howarth Hall one evening and finds that Jeannie has vanished, her car gone and her mobile phone unanswered. Nobody knows where Jeannie is; she was last seen by her landscaper Neil Robert’s when she speaking on the phone with her personal assistant. Guy begins searching for Jeannie as the police won’t take action as she’s an adult and has disappeared before. Andee Lawrence an ex-detective from the local police and a friend of Guy’s requests help from DS Rundle who loans her Trainee Investigator Cara Jakes, and together they review all the interviews and work that Andre has done so far in the twelve days since Jeannie disappeared. The story unfolds through the voices of different characters all tangled together through their relationship with Guy, Jeannie and thier landscaper Neil.

Susan Lewis writes wonderful books, each uniquely perfect and totally engaging. This psychological thriller had me hooked from the start and once again I await the next novel from this wonderful writer

Loved this book by Susan Lewis - I have read a few of her titles and haven’t read a bad one yet - crime story set in a small community during lockdown which keeps you guessing to the end - loads of twists and turns and lots of different relationships to get your head around - definitely worth a read

I really love Susan Lewis's writing and her ability to create so vivid characters. Who's Lying Now? Is a really great domestic mystery and I enjoyed every moment.

I enjoyed this book and can recommend it to readers who like a mystery to solve. It has a solid plot, numerous characters and is descriptive enough to enable the scene to be set perfectly. The storyline keeps the reader guessing, although at times it's a bit of a slow burner. I also feel that some of the female characters are too similar to distinguish one from the other at the beginning. I believe the characters could have been developed a bit more fully. However I’d certainly read more by Susan Lewis as I’ve already read several of her books.

My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy to red and review.

Susan Lewis does it again with this excellent drama/mystery taking place in a small community and having Andie Lawrence, the talented detective, make a reappearance.

I love a novel by Susan Lewis and oh my, she did not disappoint in her new novel for 2022.
The first book that is based whilst the characters are on covid lockdown. It's based on the character of Jeannie Symonds and her disappearance from her property she shares with her husband. Secrets, mystery and intrigue unfolds in the pages as the author goes from her disappearance to the days before.
Excellent as always
Thanks to#NetGalley for the advance copy in return for an honest review

Another cracker from Susan Lewis.

When Jeannie Symmonds disappears, there seems to be no clues as to where she may have gone.

It’s up to Cara Jakes, a trainee investigator to find out. She teams up with familiar character Andre Lawrence to find the truth.

Susan Lewis always crafts brilliant characters, and her books are filled with twists and turns. I really enjoyed this, and fans of her previous books will enjoy this one too.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I love Susan's books but sadly I didnt think this was one of her best ones. So many characters and different timelines made it a confusing story. I did like Cara and her investigations though. I liked the way she wanted to learn and was not afraid to ask difficult questions. Susan has long been one of my favourite authors but this one was just not for me.
Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC

Absolutely brilliant as always this book takes you on an exciting journey where you have no idea who’s telling the truth the characters are really good you have Jeannie Symonds who is a publisher who one day goes missing she has a very charismatic husband Guy then we have Estelle who is self absorbed and her lovely husband Neil and lots more amazing characters.

Cara Jakes is the investigator on the case but with all the twists and turns she has no idea which way to turn.

I definitely recommend it’s a real page turner and thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC

This story was set during the pandemic, although it would've been just as good without the constant references to it. At one point near the end I thought there was going to be a twist, but there wasn't., which, in a way, was a bit disappointing. However, overall, I still enjoyed this book.

Set in 2020/2021, this is a brilliant novel set during the pandemic.

Jeannie and her husband Guy have settled in their second home during the lockdown and when Jeannie goes missing Guy contacts the police and local investigator Andee to help find her. Guy is a well liked and charismatic character who is popular with the ladies in the area and may have had dalliances in the past. Jeannie seems to have had a flirtatious relationship with landscape gardener Neil, who is marred to an author whom Jeannie had, some time ago, had a well publicised falling out. Add to the mix Neil’s ex wife and local cafe owner, the gorgeous Fliss, who for her own reasons had walked away from Neil and her son Zac some years before, though they remained friendly.

What has happened to Jeannie and who wanted her out of the way? Great writing and lots of dead ends and twisty plots to keep the interest of the reader.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review. Highly recommended.

Jeannie Symonds is a force to be reckoned with, but you don’t want to get on the wrong side of her. She doesn’t forgive or forget. So when she goes missing, there are quite a few people who are glad she’s gone. Estelle was one of Jeannie clients, until a bad falling out, which has damaged her already fragile personality. The police don’t start investigating immediately as Jeannie’s gone off before, but because her husband, Guy is concerned, an unofficial investigation is started. Cara Jakes is new to detecting but with Andee Lawrence as her mentor, she gets to grips with interviewing the locals and is positive there’s more to this than a runaway wife.

This is a really good thriller, with enough twists and turns to make sure you never know who the real suspect is until the end. It’s also a great character study on relationships and the adage that you never truly know what goes on between married couples behind closed doors. Estelle isn’t a very likeable character, so self centred, despite having a daughter, Chloe, and a lovely husband Neil. She’s never gotten over the incident with Jeannie, who she looked up to almost like a mother. It’s nice to have Andee back, and to get more details on other characters backgrounds. So well plotted, it keeps the reader gripped all the way through. A fan of this author already, this one is another solid best seller.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Wow another brilliant book by Susan Lewis. It’s an exceptionally well written book with many twists and turns with so many interesting characters. The story is centred on the disappearance of a publisher Jeannie who is married to Guy a Consultant, the impact that it has on her family and friends. It also makes you wonder how many of us have secrets and what the outcome can be when they are unravelled and the effect it can have on families. I liked the idea that the storyline was based during a Covid lockdown and the problems that came with it.. I would highly recommend this book as I was drawn from the opening page as it was unputdownable.

Can a person really have it all in life?
People look at another person, how they dress, how they live and think to themselves that person has life sussed but do they really?
Do they really have it all....
I found Susan's latest book Who's Lying Now to be such an intriguing read.
She has this innate ability to reel you in to her story from the very first page.
I quite enjoyed her characters most especially Cara, a new junior investigator. She is eager to make her mark isn't she in the search for missing Jeannie Symonds.
Jeannie vanishes into thin air one day leaving her husband completely perplexed as to where she might have gone.
Cara know certain stories are not adding up though, accounts differ somewhat and people are hiding a multitude of things..
Is gripped the word for this book....yes I think it is, I was completely gripped by this storyline.
Where did Jeannie go? Did anyone see her go?
So many questions....
There was twists and turns galore in this story but what you really see is a fantastic author at work in bringing everything a reader wants between two covers...drama, suspense and the right amount of mystery..
Well worth your time...

Susan Lewis at her mesmerising best! Shoal after shoal of red herrings kept me enthralled and guessing until the end. When Jeannie ,a noted publisher goes missing, our beloved Andee (from previous books) is called in to help solve the mystery. How wonderful to have Andee as a central character again and to reconnect with other loved characters. The storyline is strong, complex and compelling and guaranteed to keep you turning the pages til the satisfying end. Loved it!
