This was a sweet story for primary aged children. I would definitely recommend for parents adding to their child’s personal library or to teachers.

Maddie and Mabel is a sweet book by Kari Allen about how sisters are supposed to be. Maddie and Mabel tells the story of two sisters—Maddie and Mabel—and the ups and downs they have in their relationship. Maddie and Mabel is written and geared to beginner readers. I believe this book would be good for a first time reader. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. My review is also on Goodreads.

A good story of two spunky sisters who navigate their relationship with humor and heart.

I enjoyed this story when I was reading on March 22 due to it tells us about familiar relationship and i like when a book teach us more and more about how to get better every moment, mostly in childhood.

This would be the perfect book for any child that has a sibling and may struggle with that at times. The illustrations are fun and the story is large enough for a child to read along. There were some helpful discussion questions at the end of the book, which was neat and something I don't often see in children's books.

What a precious book! I really enjoyed the beautiful illustrations. Also I appreciated the lessons learned section at the end of the book that would be beautiful to review with a young child. Cute characters with very realistic situations. Highly recommend.

I really like this book. Great book about sisters, solving problems together and saying your sorry. Would be a great first chapter book for the new readers. Would be great for a classroom or library.

The pictures that went with the book were great and really colorful.

Overall, I definitely read more by this author.

This is a chapter book for the very new chapter book reader. I found it to be adorable. The illustrations are very engaging and fun to look at. The stories are linked and give young readers a chance to know the characters. Each chapter tells a short story about older sister, Maddie, and kid sister Mabel. Anyone who has been an older or younger sibling will relate to their position in the story. Having had an older sister, I could identify with Mabel. Do these sisters always get along? Of course not but…are they important to one another, yes!

I recommend this title for children who are embarking on their lifetime of reading. They will enjoy it.

This title will be released on 22 Mar 2022.

An adorable book about two sisters that reminds me so much of the two sisters that I get to love each and every day (Addie and Kate). Like Addie, Maddie is the older sister (tall with blonde hair). Like Kate, Mabel is the younger sister (shorter with brown hair) who brings her lovey everywhere. Maddie and Mabel play together, they put on shows together, they even sleep in the same room -- just like Addie and Kate.

My girls will love this book. *I* love this book.

'Mabel and Maddie' is a really sweet story about two sisters. Maddie is the older sister. Mabel is the youngest sister. Maddie loves Mabel, and Mabel loves Maddie. But Mabel is getting tired of always following her big sister.

The illustrations are so childlike, and comforting.
The language is simplistic, but that's beneficial as younger readers will be able to read the story

It's a good book for siblings to read together, and as a younger and older sister myself, I really enjoyed and related to this book.

A cute book about what it's like to have a sister, and how sisters can get along and play with each other. This also is a good early reader book, and would be great for a young child who is expecting a new sibling.

"Do you wanna build a snowman?" vibes! The movie Frozen sisters!

Don't tell me you just sang it!

I love this storybook so much. It presents perfectly the sibling bond between two young sisters: how they spend time together, how thet play together and how they are growing up together.

The illustration is just upbeat and amazing.

This is good!

Thank you, Kind World Publishing, for the advance reading copy.

Cute story about sisters, great for the earliest readers. I appreciated the emotional aspects of the story but found that there was a lack of descriptive language. I think this book would work well for children just beginning to read. The style of writing is reminiscent of Dick and Jane, -more like a children’s primer than a storybook.

Maddie and Mabel are good sisters, sharing their joy and secrets. Each chapter is unique with colofrul illustrations and easy to follow language. From chapter to chapter their bond of friendship grows. The story is really good and relatable.

Awww! is the first word that comes to my mind after reading the book. Maddie and Mabel are cute little sisters, where Maddie is the elder sister who takes care of everything, and Mabel is the little one who follows her.
The book is divided into five little sections to show the relationship between sisters. The sections are funny, lighthearted, and warm. The illustrations don’t fill the page but appear in smaller portions. This resulted in a spacious layout, making it easier to read and enjoy the illustrations at the same time.
The book would be great for bedtime reading, especially if you have more than one kid. The questions at the end make good starting points for discussion. The language is just as it should be in a kiddo book.
To sum up, Maddie and Mabel is a sweet little start to a promising series.
I received an ARC from NetGalley, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), and Kind World Publishing and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This sweet book did a great job of exploring the nuances of the relationship between siblings, and how that relationship impacts the identity of kids. Maddie and Mabel communicated well with each other and demonstrated good conflict resolution and friendship to each other. A sweet book to read with older and younger siblings alike, complete with lovely illustrations.

This was such a cute book I read it to my 1 year old and my 4 year old niece. They both giggled and pointed at the pictures the entire time!! I can’t wait until it’s a physical book so I can buy it for them!

Maddie and Mabel is a cute story about sisters and their relationship with each other. Maddie is a bit on the controlling side and Mabel wants to have some say in deciding what and how to play a game. The sisters do figure out how to get along in the end. I read this with my 9 and 6 year old daughters, hoping it would help them with their own bickering but it stopped just short of giving them the much needed lesson. I do think this book is geared toward younger kiddos. The illustrations are cute and go well with the story.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion.
