I absolutely loved this book from the very start. I just couldn't get enough of it. Its based on a very true crime within a law firm that deals within the legal cannabis production in a few states of America.  The author has written a stunning account of her business partners betrayal and how he managed to remove nearly 1 million dollars from the company removing any evidence showing these transactions.  Will he get away with it? Well you must read this book to find out. The way this story was written made it feel like you were reading an unbelievable law based fiction book that would definitely become a big bestseller but then you realise that this is in fact a true crime novel and are in utter shock by how this can actually happen. The follow is so perfect you just believe its a fiction book and you just don't get bogged down by any facts as your just in utter shock this is real life. I totally binge read this book I was that engrossed in this shocking tale. This book will sure take you on a thrilling ride and I was just so fascinated by the whole process. I just know that those readers who love law fiction and true crime books will absolutely love this book. I felt so many different emotions while reading this book.  The author really got to grips with creating the perfect sense of atmosphere and tension when writing this book. I just wish the author now would actually switch her hand to actually write law fiction as im sure she would be excellent at it and shows so much scope to do this. I truly can't recommend you read this book enough as its brilliant and did I mention shocking my jaw hit the floor many times while reading this book.
So much praise goes out the the author and publishers for bringing us this magnificent fast paced roller coaster of a true crime book.

Thank you to BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for a copy of this title,

Unfortunately I’m unable to give a full review on this book, because I could not finish it.

The writing style is fabulous and I believe Anne van Leynseele is highly talented, and the topic is incredible. It really is shocking to hear about the things happening behind the scenes within the legal marijuana industry.

The thing that made it impossible for me to finish was the extras that seemed to have been added in to pad the book out, that really weren’t necessary. It made it ever so long-winded to read!

Cultivating Crime was just an okay read to me. It was not what I thought it would be and do not think it was for me. Two and a half stars.
