Really good read. Great story. 4*.

I enjoyed Faith and Grant’s story. It was straightforward even though Faith played hard to get for a bit too long in a book setting for me.

Returning to his hometown Grant is immediately attracted to Faith who he remembered from high school. She didn’t remember him and didn’t know he was a hotshot hockey player, although when she finds out she isn’t exactly star struck.

Faith is trying to keep her father’s hardware store in the black and that takes up all her energy until her defences crumble. Once that happens the heat is on and neither can get enough of the other.

A fast read with some spice!

I thought that this was a fun and spicy holiday read. I love hockey romances and even more than that I love smaller town big fish comes back to a small town and a a female not giving them the time of day romance. I think that Grant and Faith work really well together once she does give him a chance, and overall this was fun from start to finish.

Faith has no idea who he is and Grant is hilariously perturbed about this fact, but he works hard to win over her affection. If you're a sucker for hockey romance like I am, this fits the bill - it's steamy, angsty, sweet and romantic. Definitely a must-read!

I thought this was a really cute story. Faith is working hard to keep her fathers hardware store running after his death. I love that Faith doesn't know who Grant is and Grant is fully supportive of her in every way. Watching these two fall in love was sweet and I love how well they compliment each other. I really enjoyed this story and am glad I gave it a chance.

This was an amazing, quick holiday read! Honestly, it was written so well it didn’t feel short or rushed as many novellas/short novels do. I can’t wait to read this again come Christmas time!

Quick Trip did not disappoint. Even the famous athlete storyline which I usually cringe at worked in this novella.
Jordan has a way of creating great dialogue between the characters which made me feel the chemistry between Grant and Faith. Faith wasn't going to be an easy conquest, and I really enjoyed seeing Grant have to work at building a relationship. This made the happily ever after that much sweeter.

I can't wait to keep reading more from Jordan.

Overall this book was okay. I liked them as a couple and the chemistry they had. I liked how hockey wasn't the only focus and that he did care about her career and making sure that she was successful in her own ways.

I did feel like the ending was very rushed. I know this kind of had to happen because he had to go back and play, but it was still just a lot at once for someone to deal with and come to terms with.

The sex felt over done at times and not enough of the other important stuff was happening.

Yikes.

The book starts with the gross internal monologue of the "hero," who clearly has zero respect for women, and never recovers. There is no chemistry between the two leads, and there was never an indication of why Grant was interested in Faith other than how she looked in tight jeans. Also, the most hockey in this hockey romance is some training Grant does for the local kids while he is in town.

Apparently this is a reprint of an earlier edition, and it shows. "Quick Trick" is tacky and dated. Would not recommend.

Grant Saber is back in his hometown in North Carolina, he is nursing a bad shoulder. Really not wanting to be there because of all of his family's drama he deals with it by going to the hardware store to get a Christmas tree. He is shocked by two things one that Faith Nichols is still in town and that she is running the store. She is working at keeping the store open since her father died, she is not looking for a guy especially Grant. The banter between both of them starts from the moment they meet and goes until the end. He shows up every day buying something from the store and hoping she will go out with him.
Faith wants to really like Grant but she is so focused on saving the store and her father’s memory she cannot see anything for herself. Will Grant be able to work her into a date and will they work it out for the long haul? Read this good story to find out.

3.75 Heart This is a new series by Skye Jordan and this is set around hockey. I am a fan of ice hockey so I was really excited to read this new series.

We meet the Rough Riders in this series and begin with Grant. Grant is a hockey star so when he meets Faith who has no clue who he is Grant wants to get to know her. I really enjoyed Grant. In the beginning he seemed stereotypical of star athletes. Exactly what we think they all are. Egotistical, hot headed and entitled but when we get to know Grant we find he is just a good old fashioned kind of guy. Faith is a sweet hometown girl. She has run her dad's business since he passed away. The town knows her and she has been hurt enough to not be sure she wants to be involved with Grant but the heart knows what the heart wants.

Another great book by Jordan and I can’t wait to read the rest in the series.

I thought I'd reviewed this a long time ago but it slipped through the cracks somehow. I really enjoyed this red hot hockey romance. Skye Jordan is one of my favorite authors and this book is one of her best. Recommended

This was more a Christmas story than a sports romance. Although Grant was a NHL player, there was very little hockey going on other than the practice times with the youngsters in Holly. I liked Faith’s character. She had a lot of heart and drive. It took me a while to like Grant as he came across as self entitled Mr Hot Shot Hockey Player for most of the book. While there was instalust, the level of steam came as a surprise in the context of the story. Not a surprise from this author as she is known for her incendiary scenes but Grant didn’t give off dom vibes in his day time interactions with Faith or anyone else. It was a good read but I have read better from this author.

A Holiday time read, small town, insta-attraction, playboy hockey player, and small-town girl. Grant is nursing an injury. The injury has him away from the ice giving him an excuse to leave DC and head home for the holidays. While there, he is helping to coach the kids on the local hockey team.

Faith has taken over the local hardware store in Holly, NC, after her father's death. She is doing her best to be immune to Grant’s charms. But, will she give in to his persistence?

If you are looking for a swoony hero, sexy read, and a cast of characters, this is a book for you.

This is a great romance with swords and sexy men. Although sports is not my genre I did enjoy this book overall it was sexy fun and perfect. i would read more from this author and I enjoyed her writing style

Grant Saber comes back to his hometown for the holidays after years away as a celebrated hockey star. When he runs into Paige, who owns the hardware store, he can't resist trying to get to know her better. The writing was well-done - it flowed well and the characters were really cute. The plot was also cute, with Paige trying to keep her hardware store afloat and Grant pitching in to help. I didn't love that Grant's idea of helping was to take over and do it for her, and that's ultimately why I wasn't super-satisfied with this book. I would give this author another try and read more from this series, but this wasn't my favorite.

I enjoyed this book. Grant remembered Faith from high school=but she not so much. I thought Grant had to work to get a date with Faith. I had a good time reading this one-it was relatively quick and yet still fun. His parents weren't the greatest, and his life wasn't perfect. Faith was just a nice interesting lady. 4 stars

I am a sucker for hockey romances. Hockey is my favorite sport and has been for all my life. I always connect more to characters in hockey romances than in other romances because of that. This story was so entertaining and I loved the characters. I loved how it wasn't such a drastic famous player turning into a relationship guy. It wasn't a dramatic plot, but it was very heart warming. I devoured this book in one day and I really enjoyed it. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
