Teagan and Aaron both are trying to heal from the scars of the past. A past that changed who they were and shaping every decision they have made. Finding each other is absolute fate and finally allowing them to heal. Silver Lake is an absolute amazing place to heal and recharge. Helena Hunting’s series is a heartwarming journey that takes her readers on a path of finding love.

Helena has once again given me characters that I can't help but fall in love with and she has written with faults that really make you feel. Teagan has lived with her father her entire life now 26 and her father has his girlfriend moving in it is the perfect time for her to venture out on her own.
I think I loved Aaron from the start. He is remolding the garage apartment for his friend Van and really trying to stay away from his sister Teagan but soon the pull is just too much. We watch has they each have the past to struggle with and attempt to move on. We may start out easy breezy but we soon see that these characters have real problems and are struggling. A beautiful, emotional love story!

We need to talk about all the feels Love on the Lake gave me. Happy butterflies. Nervous butterflies. Frustrated as hell butterflies.
It was truly wonderful!
It also needs to be said how well I feel Helena talked about addictions of a different kind. I think she was able to cover it quite well!!

Another epic read.

I loved Teagan and Aaron so so much. Their story was everything you love in a relationship and book. Such a beautifully told story. Helena captured my attention right away and I straight devoured this in one sitting. Well worth the lack of sleep! Lakeside never sounded so sweet.

Book 2 on the Lake side series.
This is a stand alone but should be read in order.

Themes: forgiveness, abandonment, insomnia and addiction.
This could have triggers for some.

Aaron and Teagan hit it off really quickly and face a few challenges along the way.
Teagan's downward spiral is a scary and sensitive topic that Helena eases us through and makes us as readers stand up and notice.... Not everyone is ok! We can tell that HH dug into her previous occupation with grace and dignified these issues.

When Teagan’s mother dies, she started taking care of her devastated father, keeping him company. When she finished college, instead of getting an apartment and start living her own life, she stayed home so her father wouldn’t be lonely. Then, her father got a girlfriend and invited her to move in, and Teagan decided it was time to go live and do her own thing.

Teagan moved to Pearl Lake, to live in the apartment above her brother’s garage. She started to take several jobs around town, in an effort to find out what she likes. She’s driven to find herself and what she wants to do with her life. So she takes a bartending job, a selling job in a hardware store, a clerk job with the lawyer, and a consulting gig with her future sister-in-law. And jumps in to help anyone who needs a helping hand!

Aaron works with her future sister-in-law’s construction company. He seems to be the town’s flirt and seems to have been very active with the “abandoned” wives of the rich side of the lake. Initially, he seemed not to like Teagan, and that made her more determined to find what made him tick.

Once Aaron and Teague start a fling, Teague gets more and more chores to do in town. She’s on the move constantly; she has trouble sleeping, so she takes sleeping pills, she suffers from anxiety so she takes anxiety pills, and when she wakes up groggy she takes energy drinks. It feels like she’s in a merry go round that is going faster and faster.

I loved that apart from a great story, there’s some suspense, not from a mystery crime but from the unknown future that faces Aaron and Teague. As a reader, you notice that Teagan is getting more and more busy, that she’s burning the candle at both ends, and you see there’s no end in sight to all the tasks on hand. Likewise, there’s a mystery with Aaron’s monthly trip out of town and how he won’t disclose what those trips are for.

The story goes on into a plot twist that was and wasn’t surprising, very dramatic and superbly managed by the author. By this time, you’re engaged with both characters and you feel this merry go round getting crazier every time and you wonder where this is going to end. The book keeps you riveted, both because you love the story, and because you’ve come to love the characters. I loved the compassion and the superb writing that HH brings to her books and how enthralled you stay from beginning to end. I also loved the references to the hockey wives who live on the rich side of the lake! This is a more serious side to HH’s writing and I find it every bit as wonderful as her fun hockey series. Can’t wait to read more!

I'm really loving this small town that Helena Hunting has created. This second installment in the series is about Teagan and Aaron. I loved both of them! Their story has so many layers. It was sweet and steamy, with incredible depth as we learned more about them both. Their story felt real and I felt very invested in what was happening on the page. Really great addition to this series and I can't wait to see what Helena writes next!

I always get so happy when one of my favorite authors has a new book out. Love on the Lake was a page turner. One of the many things I love about this author’s writing is how she incorporates humor into her stories. I enjoyed being back in the small town of Pearl Lake and these characters. Teagan and Aaron’s story is one you don’t want to miss.

Wow, Love on the Lake will reel you in and have you hooked on Aaron and Teagan. These two constantly throw the evil looks at each other banter back and forth, until they finally are honest with each other. The chemistry is off the charts and what starts out as something small continues to grow. However, what happens when the secrets of their past start to bubble up and aren’t so secret anymore? Add in the pressures from their friends and family, will these two figure things out or will there be too much to recover from? This book is an emotional rollercoaster with steamy and sweet moments and one’s you’ll be sure to scream at the characters, but don’t miss it. You’ll fall for these two!

This book is more emotional than I was expecting. Parts of it hit very close to home. Loving someone no matter what is something that is so hard to do and rarely gets to be seen in a romance book.

This book shows what true unconditional love is. Love ing someone even when they can’t love themselves. I don’t even know if I can do that sometimes. But there is a power in love and even more power in living yourself.

Helena Hunting is a favorite author of mine. I adored everything about this book. Love on the Lake tackles some more serious issues such as addiction and loss while still providing us with love and a steamy romance. It follows the story of Teagan, Van's younger sister, who has decided that she is willing to move out on her own at the age of twenty-six. She's always been a ray of sunshine and the perfect child, and now it's time for her to discover who she truly is. Aaron hates Van's younger sister, but he cannot seem to escape her because he and Van work for the same firm. But as they grew closer, Aaron opened his heart and said how much he loved her. Teagan and Aaron are both striving hard to get away from their pasts. When things get rough, Aaron is eager to own and finally disclose his secrets, but their love is put to the greatest challenge.

Teagan and Aaron were something I never realized I wanted and more, and their journey fascinated and captured me until the very last page. Their challenges and history properly summed up everything in this book. I like how both characters had shortcomings and something they needed to work on, which helped their character development. It broke my heart for Aaron at times. He had been through a lot, yet he still loved Teagan and waited for her to confront her challenges. These characters are deep. The storyline is well-written and genuine. I was not prepared for the emotional roller coaster, but I loved it!

It was emotional and timely in these moments when we are dealing with the burden of the world's problems. It has it all. It's emotional while also being entertaining. It's full of brilliant characters, steamy, and it's full of funny banter. When it came to this one, Helena Hunting got hold of my heart. I'm looking forward to reading more in the Lakeside series.

Thank you amazon for my e-copy in exchange for honest review.

Aaron and Teagan's story was brilliant, I love the deepness of it all, the emotional rollercoaster that it gave me was amazing. I love both characters, their interactions, the way they both have secrets and mystery behind it all. I certainly recommend this story and if you are a fan of Helena Hunting there are some treats for you to find. Beautiful story a 5 star read for you to discover!

5 stars!

I am so glad to be back in Pearl Lake because I love the Lakeside series! Love on the Lake features Teagan, sister of Van from Love Next Door . She’s been working for her dad and watching over him because it’s what she thought he needed but it’s not what she really wants. She settled because she didn’t want to leave her father alone but now that his girlfriend is moving in, Teagan can take time for herself.

Teagan decides to visit her brother Van and ends up starting new in Pearl Lake. She moves into the apartment above Van’s garage where she runs into Aaron who is completing the finishing touches on the apartment. There is something about Aaron that draws Teagan to him but he seems to want nothing to do with her. Slowly they spend more time together and things start to change when they both realize that first impressions aren’t always correct.

There’s an attraction they would like to deny but can’t, and when Teagan takes a chance, she takes Aaron by surprise. The witty banter makes things between them so much fun and they also know how to turn up the heat.

There is so much more to these characters than their attraction though. They are well developed and it’s heartwarming watching their relationship evolve. There is a lot of growth for both characters through the novel. Aaron has a secret, and it’s one that pulls him in two different directions. I love the support Teagan gives him as he navigates his challenges. Teagan has her own challenges, and it’s hard to watch her go through what she does but Aaron is there for her every step of the way.

These two really stole my heart and their vulnerabilities really pulled at my heart strings. I loved their story and didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to visit Pearl Lake again!!

I'm having trouble writing this review because my favorite thing about "Love on the Lake" was its ability to take me by surprise, and I don't want to say too much and accidentally ruin that experience for another reader. The story was constantly twisting and turning, changing and evolving, and every time I thought it was going to go one way, it went somewhere completely different. Protagonists Teagan Firestone and Aaron Saunders were both incredibly likeable, complex characters, and they faced more than their fair share of challenges on the way to their HEA. There were aspects of both characters that I found to be very relatable, but in general, what I most loved was their shared commitment to finding themselves and working to be better in the future. They weren't perfect, but they kept trying, and I couldn't help but admire them for it.

Overall, "Love on the Lake" was a perfect blend of funny, sweet, steamy, and emotional, and I absolutely adored it. The first book in the series was fantastic, but I think this one was even better. I highly recommend it for all contemporary romance fans and look forward to Helena Hunting's next release.

https://www.bookbuSooooo awesome!!

Wow.. this book made me cry it was so good. This book is the 2nd book in the Lakeside series and is about Van's sister, Teagan, who moves into Van's garage apt in order to find out what she wants to do with her life. She's lived her life helping out her dad and when his girlfriend moves in, she uses it as an excuse to go out in her own. When arriving at the apt, she runs into Aaron, the super hot guy who works with her sister in law to be and is currently finishing up her flooring shirtless. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to like her.

She picks up multiple 1 day a week jobs and starts becoming indispensable to the town, and she and Aaron become an item. Except, she's having trouble sleeping and so much stuff going on that she's needing her pills more frequently.

Not gonna ruin the story, but OMG I cried during this part.

But thankfully, there is an HEA for not only Teagan but for her and Aaron.. i love Helena's books and this one was definitely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!
