Holiday Hotel is so much fun! Not a big fan of snow myself I was transported to spend Christmas on an island! Cozette and Nico were both so relatable and I couldn't get enough of their story! Poppy Minnix is a new author to me and I can't wait to read more by her!

The Holiday Hotel by Poppy Minnix is a warm-hearted and dreamy holiday read ready to whisk you away to warmer waters. When Cozette attempts to spice things up with her boyfriend, she quickly discovers.that spark has long run cold. In true form, at least according to her boyfriend, Cozette quickly packs up and leaves her home, their home in NYC. In a typical turn of events, she finds herself with nowhere to go for Christmas and ends up booking a tropical vacation. Oh, and she leaves in two hours. Landing on Simona Island, she quickly realizes she is overdressed. Or, maybe, underdressed? Enter Nico. The hot and kind bus driver/worker/owner who quickly becomes part of every waking moment of Cozette days. Could there be more below the surface of their friendship? The Holiday Hotel was a charming read over Christmas break! Thank you to NetGalley and City Owl Press for the advanced read copy in exchange for my honest review.

I didn't like the heroine, she was impulsive and didn't consider a lot of things. I liked the hero and the holiday vibes.

Oh how I wish I could be on Simona Island right now!
Cozette was having a rough go and left (rightfully) in a hurry, wearing a ridiculous costume. From there we end up on Simona Island, where the workers are friendly and fun, and the owner is to die for. I really enjoyed that he was not interested in Cozette knowing that he was the owner, and while Cozette did know she kept it to herself. It's always important to be seen for who you are, not what you have.
Nico and Cozette make a cute couple that I'm sure will stand the test of time, even though they had a whirlwind holiday romance.

I did not enjoy this book and will not be continuing with the series. Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and City Owl Press for an e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Holiday Hotel was quite a fun read and a little steamy, too! It’s actually a perfect read for this holiday season, with a different way to spend Christmas: in a tropical private island. It follows the story of Cozzete Fay, who had a devastating breakup and she goes to Simona Island for a Christmas holiday and also for a recovery.
When I first read the blurb and knew that it’s going to be an insta-love, honestly I was a little nervous. I’m afraid I won’t love it because I’m not a fan of insta-love. But, I’m craving for a romcom story with holiday vibes. Haha. Thankfully, it’s actually good and cute romance, and I love Cozzete’s personality too. I was expecting a depressed version of her after the breakup, but she’s that kind of cheerful and strong woman, and she has confidence.
Some things that didn’t work for me are the plot, the execution, and the writing style. It was mediocre, the background story of the MCs are not strong enough, so it often left me confused and unable to understand what they’re going through. The epilogue was surprising, but quite odd because it’s told from a supporting character. My guess is maybe the sequel will tell a story with different MC?
Overall, it was an okay read and the ending is good enough to make me want to read the sequel.

Holiday Hotel follows Cozette as she runs away on a tropical Island Christmas vacation after breaking up with her long term boyfriend. There she meets Nico, who is the mysterious all-inclusive hotel owner who charms her vacation and her heart.
This story was not for me. There was a lot of unnecessary detail that detracted from the story, and I struggled to connect with Cozette. Her voice was immature and her focus on men on a whim was unimpressive to me. Nico also felt unnecessarily closed off for too long. I couldn’t feel the chemistry between the two or connect with either of them.

This book was an utter Christmas delight! If you want holiday under the sun then this is definitely the book for you! Despite the book taking place on a tropical island we still got all the Christmas vibes I wanted without being cheesy.
I really enjoyed Cozette as a main character. She knew what she deserved and what she really wanted from life and she was not afraid to walk away and start living life for HER. What a nice little message to cut the lightheartedness of the book. Nico was such a sweetie and definitely will make you swoon. There were little goofy moments between Cozi and Nico that I appreciated. I will say the secrets and privacy surrounding him started to get a little annoying. I wish we could've gotten some things from his past slowly revealed throughout the novel. We kept getting hints that he's so private but no reason why.
There was also some insta lust that wasn't my jam. There wasn't much build up for chemistry or sexual tension when there's insta lust involved. But we still got some steam!
Overall, very pleased and happy I read it! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love a fun holiday romance and the concept was cute! I tried so hard to push through this book but the writing style just didn’t work for me. I struggled to connect with the MC right away and I couldn’t handle the corny jokes and immature dialogue. If you’re looking for a corny holiday read, this may be for you!
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank-you NetGalley and City Owl Press for the arc.
4/5 Stars!
First off, this cover is so cute, with the golden hues and cute holiday décor!
I went into Holiday Hotel not really knowing what I was going to get. Cause holiday romances can be hit or miss. But I really enjoyed this book! The comedic timing was on point and the build up to the romance was very enjoyable. Something admirable about the writing here was that we got a sense of who the characters are right from the start by the way they behave and how others interact with them. I like that it showed us who the characters are and didn’t just say “I am a very ( insert characteristic here.
Cozette at the hands of another writer could have been a character that I didn’t particularly like.
But man, she was a delight! She had this warm energy and you believed that the hotel staff would fall in love with her in a week! When we get introduced to her, she’s waiting for her boyfriend in a sexy holiday get up and he just doesn’t respond accordingly. Boy BYE! In my mind I was like:
“Yes, girl leave his ass. Make a dramatic exit! “She was funny, kind and very efficient.
Nico was oh so charming! I really liked his laid-back personality. All the little things he did for Cozette after learning why she was on vacation just *swoon*.
The relationship between these two was adorable with the flirty banter.
They were perfect for each other! I knew what the conflict was going to be, but it was interesting how he handled it. So much was said, and I loved that Cozette never lost her sarcasm even during that “fight”. I loved that she didn’t forgive him right away, but she still had contact with him. Sometimes female character doesn’t need to unforgiving to still be strong and I loved how that was showcased here because I love my boy Nico, but he needed to gravel, and he did.
Overall Holiday Hotel was a great holiday read that you can enjoy during any season.
The main characters were great and the supporting characters never felt like a bland or unimportant.
Poppy Minnix did an amazing job with this story! I can’t wait to visit Simona Island again!

I fell so in love with the sweet, steamy, quirky Christmas romance. I laughed, I cried, I made weird faces while reading (no, seriously, at one point my spouse asked me "what's the expression for?" haha!)
One of the key things that makes a book a favorite for me is feeling like I want to hang out with the characters, and I'd REALLY love to hang out at El Escape Azul with the amazing staff there. Cozette is such a fun and quirky heroine, and I definitely would like to be best friends with her, please!
The chemistry between Cozi and Nico is apparent from the moment they meet, and it just gets *better* as the book goes on. Nico helps Cozi embrace that not every partner will want her to dim her sparkle, but a lot of her introspection and growth is hard-won by her own efforts. I love a good girl power, I don't need a man growth arc, don't you?
In addition to the amazing chemistry between Cozette and Nico, and the friendships Cozette builds among the resort staff, the world-building and story-telling is lush and rich and really made me long for warm sandy beaches and bright, darting tropical fish. Maybe that's because, like Paul and Linda, I'm in Minnesota in December - brr! Don't sleep on this amazing tropical Christmas romance!
This is the first book in the Simona Island series and can be read as a stand-alone. The epilogue gives a little taste of what to expect for the next book, which will be about Xia! I am very excited and can't wait! It's the perfect escape if you're somewhere very chilly and want to dream about someplace warm but still stay in the holiday spirit.

This book was so cute! The first chapter really sucks you into the story so I was hooked from the start. I’m super excited to read the next book in this series as well!

Christmas in a tropical place is perfect for someone who needs a break from everything. Where it won’t really “feel” like Christmas. Where you can snorkel with sharks, spend nights drinking fruity, coconutty rum and just lay out on the beach all day. What’s not to love??
Nico was sexy, fun and a dream to look at. Cozette was determined to change her sure circumstances, take back her life and this was just the place to do it.
And she decided this could be the sexiest Christmas ever.
This had fun characters, warm beaches and second chances. A little over half way I was getting upset but it finished with a great ending and I really enjoyed this Christmas novel. I highly recommend it.

Hello island holiday's!!
Cozette has issues with her current beau, James. She tries some role play but it doesn't go as planned. She does the next best thing, she books a tropical vacation and leaves James and the cold NYC winter behind.
Fresh off the plane, she runs into beach hunk, Nico who happens to be her transportation to the hotel. They flirt, but he reaffirms there is a no fraternization policy in tact - but the sparks, the chemistry, you can feel it through the pages.
He helps play tour guide, spends a lot of time with her under the guise that he just works there, she doesn't know the real truth. Nico is the owner of the hotel, which she won't find out until the hurricane shows up. It pours in more than one way.
Cozette heads back to NY thinking maybe something can be rehashed with James, what was she thinking??? But then goes home to her parents in NC. Both Nico and Cozette finally come to their senses realizing they can be together, that they're not each other's ex's, and head back to the island. One catch, it's only for 4 months, unless they can't make her stay!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I read it in one sitting, not able to put it down. I really can't wait for more books in the series!! I just reviewed Holiday Hotel by Poppy Minnix. #HolidayHotel #NetGalley

This book was so fun from the start! I enjoyed the strong-willed protagonist and the relationship she kicks up in the tropics! With just the right amount of steam and humor, this novel is sure to get you in the Island Holiday mood!

this was actually my first ever christmas book and wow it didn’t disappoint, it was so cute and the perfect amount of festive! i loved seeing christmas on an island too!

Do you find yourself obsessed with Hallmark movies during the holiday season but also love beaches and sitting on a tropical beach? Are you wanting a holiday book with a tropical twist? Maybe something to read as you’re going on vacation during this holiday season?
Holiday Hotel by Poppy Minnix was a delightful, fast paced read. Imagine being the only one to put effort in your relationship, getting dressed up in a sexy Mrs. Claus outfit and your significant other wanting nothing to do with you and being more concerned about going for a run. Well this was the final straw for Cozette in her relationship and she needed an escape. She escapes to a private island owned by secretive billionaire Nico.
I want to tell you more about this book but all I can say is read it for yourself and fall in love with Nico and Cozette. This book was fun, flirty, and amazingly written. I look forward to book two!!
Rating: 5/5
Genre: Holiday Romance
Tropes: Secret billionaire, forced proximity, the one where she finds love after an immediate breakup
****I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review****

Your typical mushy holiday romance that takes you through the beauty of a private island.
Cozy is on a spontaneous solo Christmas trip to the gorgeous Simon Island after a break up. She's swoon into the quiet beach life while falling crazily in love with owner of the hotel she's at.
A light fun read, best to be consumed while on a beach holiday listening to the waves crashing against the shore.

After breaking up with her boyfriend right before the holidays, Cozette flies to a vacation island. There she meets Nico. I enjoyed the slow burn romance this book had. I enjoyed the secrets they had with each other. This was my first book by this author and it was a cute holiday flirty romance.
I received this ARC through #netgalley and I am voluntarily reviewing this book

Although I felt this book was a bit unrealistic at times I loved the bond between the two main characters, lovely read, romantic, exciting and had me smiling lots throughout. Perfect Christmas read, cosy, festive and enjoyable.
