This was a fun little book! I enjoyed taking the tests and seeing how my cats fit. I quite often will read articles that are on the topic to cat behavior and found this to be an engaging way to read about it. Many of the sections were spot on about my cats.

This is a cute book with beautiful illustrations.
It is intended for a British audience and uses obviously British slang terms such as "moggy" for "pet cat". I am fairly knowledgeable about British English but had never heard this expression. Spelling is also based on British convention. Americans could certainly enjoy this book. Cat lovers all over the world could definitely enjoy it.
The cat purrsonality test reminds me of a quiz from a women's magazine. The quiz itself is meant to be entertaining and fun, which it is. The author includes a discussion of each topic that is intelligently written and refers to known facts and/or research about animal behavior.
Cat lovers will really enjoy this one.

Selected this book because who doesn't love a book about cats and all the great things about them!? Such a great book for any cat lover and a great gift if you're looking for that purrfect gift for a cat lover. It was fun and engaging, some great quizzes to see what personality your cat has. I would buy this for all my cat lovers out there as its just really cute! I read this with my cat (even if she didn't fully get it) but it was so much fun!

Safe to say I’m the biggest cat lady, I own 4 cats, one of 17 years. So when I saw this book I immediately had to request it! And it did not disappoint, I love the design the colors, the drawings, the tests!

So, I love personality tests, and I love my cat - that's why I knew I NEEDED this book! And it is SO awesome! It's cute, informative, funny as hell, SO interesting, and wonderfully illustrated by Alissa Levy ( @levysfriends ). I had SO much fun with this book, and I swear to you - if you have a cat, you NEED this!

As a new cat owner, I'll take any advice to learn about my cat. This book does a great job in looking at different ways to analyze your cat's behavior in fun small quizzes to lead to the larger personality results.

The artwork and color schemes are so aesthetically pleasing and adorable. I think even long term professional owners would appreciate this book. Our cat overlords demand it.

It might be fun to take this test for your feline(s), but don't take it too seriously. I have three very different cats, and the results really didn't match the cat's personality. My alpha cat didn't have many dominant results, for instance. I think part of the problem is that the choices given with each question are often too similar to one another and don't account for additional possibilities. Also, depending on the age of a cat, their activity level might be different due to medical issues, not their personality. Finally, several of the questions ask you to choose what your cat would be thinking, which really isn't accurate. Anthropomorphizing doesn't really work with cats. So, in conclusion, this might be a bit of fun to pass the time, it really shouldn't be used to determine your cat's real personality. The illustrations, though, are worth a stroll through the book--very lovely.

I was looking forward to reading this book ever since my boyfriend got two new cats from the same litter and their personalities are so different. One is definitely a laidback extrovert while the other is a shy one who displays favoritism. It was interesting to do the quizzes and see these insights confirmed. And also to learn some new things about their personalities.

Fun quizzes to take! We have 2 cats, so I had to keep track of the scores for each one. Of course, some questions gave answers that didn't apply to our cats, so I had to pick the closest one. Fun way to spend a few hours, adorable illustrations add to the delight of this book. If you are owned by cats, you'll enjoy this book!

This really was a fun book to read <i>and</i> it was a quiz book as well! I loved reading about cats, since I have two myself. The quizzes were spot on, and it felt like reading about my dear cats. Also, interesting facts about cats, which is always a treat. If you are a cat lover and a lover of quizzes do pick this up!

This is a fun little book that can shed some light on your cat's personality. Very well laid out and I love the illustrations. A perfect gift for the ultimate cat lover.

The Cat Purrsonality Test is a must-read for any cat owner! It would make a great stocking filler gift, or a gift at any other time of year for any cat lover.

The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous, really beautiful with a flash of humour to them. Alissa Levy is an incredibly talented illustrator.

I tried out the questionnaires on my two moggies. One of them was very easy to classify using the nine short questionnaires, but my other cat was a little harder to classify as there didn’t seem to the a suitable option in the list of answers. I’ve always felt she is a bit of enigma and this only proved my theory! Notwithstanding, it’s a fun book for cat owners.

This was a cute and pretty accurate book for the cat lovers like me out there! I loved the illustrations.

Cats and books seem to go together, so every reader should read this book, whether to understand their feline better or to be prepared for the cat they might serve in the future :). In this amusing handbook are 81 questions that are divided into nine groups and the very question has multiple answers. At the end of every group are clarifications for the five cat types, and for their typical behavior.
It's all a lot of fun, but if your cat lives in a city in an apartment, you can not answer every question, since they do not socialize with the neighbors over the fence, they do not run around the city at night and they do not bring offerings to your doorstep.
It's sweet and witty and has wonderful illustrations. It's a good gift book.

I love the illustrations in this book, and I like how easy it was to take the cat personality tests. However I found that more often than not there was not an option that covered my cat's behaviour in a particular situation, as my cats are both scaredycats and don't really like people. The options given were often not that different from each other, and so the results I was getting more often than not did not sum up my cats at all.

It's the sort of book that you'd get for a Secret Santa recipient who loves cats, it looks nice and it's fun, but doesn't have a great deal of substance.

So just for starters, I don't have a cat. I am very very allergic to them. But I do love a good book about cats and I do love tests. And I do have another fur baby in my house, my hamster Yuki. XD Yes, not a cat, but I was curious if the tests would kind of work for her.

The book is split up in 9 chapters and in each chapter we get a different aspect of cats and who they are. From social circles to how much they sleep to strange quirks and behaviours, everything comes by with information and quizzes! I had fun reading and I had fun doing most of the quizzes. Some just really didn't fit my hamster, and while I didn't participate in those I did read the answers and the test results because it was just interesting! And the quizzes I did.. well of course I had to adjust some stuff because cats and hamsters are way different, it did fit at times. Which made me laugh. Like when I got the King of Chill on one of the tests, which just fits in most perfectly including the purr. Yes, my hammie purrs when she is absolutely in bliss. 

The quizzes are fun to do and I love the questions/answers. There is plenty to choose from. 

The art was just the cutest (well, at times maybe a tad weird XD). I really enjoyed the pictures that accompanied every test result and loved how well they fitted with the text mentioned there. 

All in all, recommended to all cat (and maybe other animal lovers) as well!

This is a very adorable book wherein we can loosely classify our cat's personality based on different situations. I liked the idea of this, but I find it hard to choose based on the choices because I feel like those are too limiting and not representative of my cats, thus, it took me lots of days to finish this one. This is fun, a personality test for cats, but take note that this isn't 100% accurate.
