Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book. I devoured this in an afternoon, with my expectations continually challenged throughout. With the opening on Liv and Pete, plus their daughter Ivy, on a fraught package holiday with friends, it was very recognizable as a common British experience of a holiday not living up to the idea built up. I had so many reflections throughout, especially on how far we go to keep up with the Joneses, the difficulty so many adults find in making new friends and the faces we put on for different people. With ange the cuckoo usurping her from the first friends she feels close to, Liz is relatable even as she spirals into paranoia and destructive behaviour, veering between sympathy for her and repulsion.
It made for a very interesting read, one that I would recommend to anyone enjoying a complex morally grey lead female character.
TW for drug abuse, violence

I really enjoyed this story about female friendships. It took me a little while to get into but then I couldn't put it down. I loved the mounting tension as the friendships turn toxic. A gripping read.

This is a new author for me and what a lovely find. I was totally drawn in right from the beginning. The story is of four families who head off for an idyllic holiday on the island of Corfu…The narrator of the story is Liv, who is on the periphery of this group, although she really only realises how much as the days of the holiday go by. Can Liv's efforts save the friendships that mean so much to her. Where will it all end?

A brilliant intense story of female friendship; I was utterly gripped by the story and its dark undertone. Beautifully written and structured, I loved the filmic suspense and drama throughout.

I thought this was quite good however I was left a bit disappointed by the ending. I liked the build up and the drama and suspense but would have liked a little bit more from the ending

This book was a strange one for me, it took me a while to get into but once I got in to it I was hooked. I enjoyed the characters in the book, but I felt in places that it jumped from the present into the past but it wasn't very clear when this was happening. When I got to the end it was very sudden and I didn't really understand what had happened.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

With friends like these, who needs enemies?
Very interesting story about Liv who had been an outsider until she met her current friends and how a new mum joined the group and how this changed the dynamics. A great insight into toxic relationships and how matters can quickly become sinister and spiral out of control. I was hooked and couldn't put it down but felt like the ending somewhat let it down and I felt a bit disappointed and confused at the end so have marked it down a star on that.

Little Nothings was an interesting one for me, I enjoyed the premise of a group of friends/moms going on holiday and listening to all their worldly complaints and drama but I did find it a little bit less tense and thrilling than I thought so all in all it was an enjoyable read but didn’t blow me away.

Little Nothings is a story that kept me engaged and entertained.
A group of new moms are going on holidays and all hell breaks down while on there. Well, not so dramatic as I may sound but you get the idea.
I felt a bit lost on remembering who is who because the character’s names are very similar and when you have a few other extra to add to that, it can be overwhelming at times. Nevertheless, the story is a perfect read for an entertaining afternoon whether you’re in the summer or autumn weather.

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy through NetGalley

Little Nothings is primarily set on a Greek island where Liv is spending 3 weeks with her friends Beth, Binnie and Ange and their husbands and children. The novel moves back and forth between the present day holiday and the development of the friendship between the 3 women over the years. Although I found this an easy, well written and compelling novel it was also an uncomfortable read about toxic female friendships. I wasn't drawn to any of the women and felt quite appalled by the way that they treated each other. I didn't feel that the characters of Beth and Binnie were explored enough and they tended to blend into one for me. The author brings Greece and the resort to life and I could really visualise the appalling women and their lives. I'd definitely read more from the author in the future but this was a mixed read for me.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this digital ARC.

Little Nothings is that psychological thriller you won't want to put down when you start. Full of shocks and twists it draws you in from the very first page and does not let you go.

This book was a strange one for me, I enjoyed the characters in the book, but I felt in places that it jumped from the present into the past but it wasn't very clear when this was happening.

Also I am still not sure how the book ended, as it felt very strange to me.

For me this book just didn't flow, sorry.

To be honest I was not expecting much from this book, although the way the book was sold I was sure it was going to be another Liane Moriarty kind of book. Little Nothings does not deliver much, in fact nothing really happens. It's just a bunch of adults on vacation complaining about life, money and marriage. None of the character was likeable, they were all annoying to be honest. The book is set on a holiday trip, but the aware there's also a lot of flashbacks and they are not clearly appointed. Anyway, it was a good try but not my cup of tea.
