This was my first book by Rachel Lacey, and a very nice discovery.
Despite being the second book in a series, it's easy to read on it's own. The characters are lovable, and while this is definitely a romance, there are other plot points that make this book even more interesting to read.

When I read READ BETWEEN THE LINES and saw that Lia and Grace were the couple in this book, I thought it was going to be funny and light because of the whole ''imaginary friend'' joke, and since I loved the fake dating trope so much, I was eager to read this.

Well, I was a bit wrong, because this wasn't funny nor light. Lia and Grace had the most beautiful but complex chemistry ever. Grace was such a relatable character for me. Emotional baggage can make you feel the need to run constantly, especially from people who love you, because you're scared you'll love them more than they love you. Everything she's gone through in life shaped her, and I couldn't help but love her a lot for it. Lia was a perfect fit for her, so I was rooting very very very hard for their happy ending.

Also, if you love road trips, this book is totally for you. A big part of it consists on a road trip from New York to Virginia, and I loved all the stops! Road trips, hotels, rented cottages, sightseeing... all of that is so romantic to me!

As it happened with the previous book, the friends group was one of the biggest highlights. These women have my heart and I need a friend group like theirs!

This book also deals with some heavy topics such as infertility, grief, and some hard misunderstandings. Grace deserved the answers she got so she could finally move on.

Overall, this was really good, just like the first book, and I totally recommend this duet!

The first book since “me before you” that made me cry. I couldn’t put No Rings Attached down! Stayed up until 6am finishing it in one sitting. Exactly the queer read I’ve always wanted.

Book two was just as fabulous as book one Read Between The Lines.
This is one of the best romance books I have ever read.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and had trouble putting it down at times! 
This was beyond interesting..... the setting, the characters, the writing style, and the plot. 
Grace and Lia are both beautiful, kind, smart and engaging characters and I just instantly fell in love with both of them.
I thought the story was fun, lighthearted and very compelling.
Rachel Lacey did a Fab job with building these characters and making them just jump out of the pages.

No Rings Attached follows Lia and Grace on an adventure of favors. Meeting finally through a mutual friend, Grace agrees to be Lia’s fake girlfriend for a family wedding. The chemistry is undeniable but Grace has a golden rule- she doesn’t date. Maybe it’s that Lia isn’t a close friend or maybe it’s the connection and her ability to be calm and listen that allows Grace to open up about the past she’s been running from since childhood. The novel is the second of the series but an easy stand alone book that gives the perfect balance of building friendships, facing your fears, falling in love and just a little bit of steam. Rachel Lacey does a wonderful job at building characters that are quirky and relatable while being realistic in her plot.

I loved Rose and Janes story. So of course I was excited for this one as I loved Lia in the first one. I loved that this story went to other regions and areas while showing Lia and Graces backgrounds. Both grace and lia had a deeP backstory for the romance to develop.

I enjoyed the different facets of their personalities as well as their friends group dynamic.

A great romance that we should all read

I thought this book was so cute! It's an fake dating story and it felt very believable. I adored watching Grace and Lia start to fall for one another. Their flirty and cute moments were so sweet.
In the end I liked this book, it was a sweet and enjoyable read.

No Rings Attached was a great read and I loved getting to experience the cast of Read Between the Lines again. This title featured mutual pining (!!!! my favorite trope <3), fake dating, "there's only one bed", forced proximity, and a plethora of other, enjoyable tropes. (I am a sucker for a good trope).

The synopsis definitely makes the book seem like it singularly takes place at the wedding, which could not be further from the truth. This was definitely a pleasant surprise and helped keep the plot fresh.

The book did feel slightly repetitive at points, as Lia would try to rehash conversations that she and Grace had previously had, which got frustrating to an extent. Lia also repeatedly mentioned that she was considered overbearing in relationships and then would immediately do something overbearing. However, this did provide some much-needed tension and flaws in the relationship, which I appreciated, as it made the relationship less "insta-love" and perfect.

Additionally, I found Grace's side plot to be slightly two-dimensional, and I would have liked to see more of the repercussions at the end of the novel. It felt like it wrapped up in a nice, neat bow and that was that.

I did not read this as a standalone and picked it up due to having read Rachel Lacey's Read Between the Lines, but this could easily be read as a standalone. I will be continuing to read Rachel Lacey's books, as they are fun, light-hearted, easy reads.

This book follows Lia who needs a 'fake girlfriend' for her brothers wedding and this is where Grace comes in. This one weekend takes them on a rollercoaster and changes everything.

Firstly, I did really enjoy this book and I did read it in one sitting, as it was a really easy going read. However, I do think it could have had a better opening. At the beginning, I did not feel any connection between the characters at all and I think this sudden connection that they had was very rushed and was not allowed to flow until after the wedding. I also did not like Grace as a character, I think she was rather selfish and a little entitled. Lia was a great character, what with her respecting Grace's boundaries and always being honest. The spicy scenes were great as it was not overboard, they were just enough and I did really enjoy them. Lastly, sometimes the writing was really simplistic like at the beginning, it felt very young and a little childish.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and thought the ending was lovely. I rated it 3 stars and would love to read more of this authors work.

This book is the second book in the Ms. Right series, but can be easily read as a standalone novel. This book follows Lia and Grace and their relationship. They meet through a mutual friend, Rosie (the first book in the series is about her) because Lia needs a date to her brother's wedding in London to get her family and ex-boyfriend out of her hair. Following the wedding, the two return to Lia's home in New York, where they spend time before embarking on a road trip so Grace can solve a mystery that's bothered her for years.

The synopsis of this book only focuses on the wedding, so I was very surprised when it was over about 30% of the way through the book. Though I was pleasantly surprised to be able to explore the relationship between Lia and Grace in several other settings. I think the wedding is a good set-up for their chemistry, their relationship, and the overall story and conflict that they will later face. I wish Lia's traditional, career-oriented family and the ex-boyfriend had been utilized more because they were introduced, but we rarely heard about them following the introductions.

This book has the fake dating and one-bed trope, which are always enjoyable in a romance. I think there might have been too much communication, repetition, and crossing boundaries between the characters at times, but I think it mostly worked well with the story and helped build the personalities of the characters. I loved being able to see the relationship between Lia and Grace grow and enjoyed being able to get the internal monologue and viewpoint of both of the characters.

Overall, the book is a fun, mostly light-hearted sapphic romance that explores the complex relationships between queer women and their romantic interests, friends, and family. I really enjoyed the story and I hope to be able to read the first book in the series soon as well.

A lovely sequel. Grace was quite frustrating at times (but understandably so). There's some fake dating, forced proximity, a road trip and a whole lot more. Definitely worth picking up.

I happily picked up this latest from Rachel Lacey. I curled up on a couch and read while outside my window the world was wet and cold. Amelia (Lia) is planning to attend her brothers wedding in England. She’s been living in NYC after graduating school there. To get her family off her back about her love life she says she will bring a girlfriend to the wedding. Unfortunately the person she was seeing didn’t work out. Her roommate Rosie suggests her best friend, who is now living in London, is up to the task. Grace agrees to the plan because Rosie asks. They don’t try to create back stories but just go as a couple and it works very well. The blurb for the book focuses on the wedding. But that is only half the book. The two hit it off and for reasons of her own Grace decides to return with Lia to NYC. Partly to see Rosie and to clear up a mystery in her past. Since the blurb doesn’t mention this part I wont spoil it.

These are two smart, kind and caring women. Lia in particular is very good about checking in on feelings and emotions. They know there is attraction but Grace hasn’t been with someone in a while so Lia is not pushing her to do something she doesn’t want to do. They also know their time together is limited. I love their road trip and conversations. Grace comes off as a bit repetitive on why she can’t do relationships. But not everyone can be as upfront as Lia. This is the second in the Ms. Right series. I easily read it as a stand alone and there is some catching up on the first couple. I enjoyed the characters enough that I’ve already downloaded the first book “Read Between the Lines” so I can know the friend group better.
