I enjoyed this book and read it non stop. It's action packed and will engage the reader until the end. This is the first in series by Johnson. A man goes canoeing with his four friends from college. He falls into the water and wakes up in another land and time. A native warrior saves him and protects him. I am waiting for the sequel.

I don't read a lot of fantasy, but this was quite good. Interesting characters and plot. The author has a good imagination. Recommended.

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for the opportunity to read and review.
Hanshee and Ray were intriguing protagonists. Both very different from each other, literally from two different worlds, bit it was nice to see them developing friendship, trust and partnership, especially when the true warrior was Hanshee, while Ray was mysteriously thrown into a world he doesn't belong to, with skills to understand unknown languages and learning to use these skills when it was most needed. There is a nice ballance between dialogue and action, although I still wish there was more creativity and epicness regarding this foreign world that Ray mysteriously finds himself in. Still a nice start and a good first book by the author.

I requested this one because it might be an upcoming title I would like to review on my Youtube Channel. However, after reading the first several chapters I have determined that this book does not suit my tastes. So I decided to DNF this one.
