A fantastic read, beautifully written and you will end up with a smile on your face !
I loved Cressy and Ross’s story which is set in the Cornish village of St Aidan . The reader is drawn into this story and the characters become real to the reader. I loved the way the community look after the village care home
A real feel good story that you don’t want to end ! Magical
An added bonus is Cressy’s recipes at the end
Thank you to Netgalley, Harper Collins One More Chapter , and Jane Linfoot for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

Each book in this entertaining series reads easily as a standalone story and Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen continues with the delicious Cornish theme in a story which grabs your attention from the start.

When celebrity baker 'Cressida Cupcake' faces a TV disaster she flees to St Aidan, the picturesque village in Cornwall where she grew up, place of safety and where she now hides herself away ostensibly to look after her brother's dog but it's also a time to nurse her wounded pride. As her sponsor pulls out, and with funds low, Cressy needs find something to do, but everything she does seems to bring her back in contact with Ross Bradbury and it is their shared history which adds a touch of will they, won't they romance to this lovely light-hearted story. The supporting characters who flit into and out of the story are an absolute delight, especially the residents of the care home who have such fun baking along with Cressy, and the delightful Diesel and Pancake who made me smile.

The Cornish setting, the fun loving characters, and Cressida's delicious baking, all combine to make Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen such a pleasure to read.

In Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen we meet Cressy, who isn’t in the best place. Her life in London isn’t quite so perfect so she jumps at the invitation to dog sit at her brothers home in Cornwall, Arriving in St Aidan, Cressy has her quiet stay all planned out. However the locals have other ideas and what follows is a wonderfully, entertaining and heartwarming story.

I couldn’t help but smile my way through this book. Everything just clicked into place from the friendships that formed to the romance that had a wonderful slow burn element to it. I have to admit I have a soft spot for second chance love so I was rooting for Cressy and Ross from the beginning. I loved these two, they weren’t perfect and both made mistakes but this also gave them a realistic edge.

This book came along at the perfect time for me and provided a much needed escape. I’ve never been to Cornwall but this book captured my attention, whisking me away to a truly gorgeous setting. Plus I was so happy to be back in St Aidan. Jane Linfoot not only brings this setting to life but has also created characters that feel like friends. Also let’s not forget about the wonderful inclusion of baking. It really was the perfect icing on this stunning story!

Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen is a gorgeous, heartwarming treat. I loved it!

Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen is the second book in the Little Cornish Kitchen series. I believe I would have enjoyed this book better if I had read the first book before picking up Tea for Two. Nevertheless, Cressy's story was an enjoyable one through and through. It made me laugh, appreciate my friends and family - and most importantly, the story made me crave desserts ALL THE TIME. If you're choosing to read this book without some sweet treats beside you, proceed with caution. 😅 Ohh, the baking recipes at the end were such lovely bonuses to an already beautiful book.

The book followed a second-chance theme, one of my favorite tropes. Ross and Cressy's romance flowed at a perfect pace, and I loved how they got together in the end. One of the best things about Tea for Two, in my opinion, is how the author represented how Social Media impacts people's lives. Cressy created walls around herself after her fame came crashing down, but getting to see her find the courage to be her true self again was wonderful.

The setting of St Aiden added a charmful and scenic vibe to the entire storyline. Cressy's interactions with the seniors in St Aiden's melted my heart. :') I was grateful for their conversations.

Overall, if you're looking for an escapist read with a lot of heart, pick this one up. But make sure to read the first book in the series before picking Tea for Two up!

When internet sensation ‘Cressida Cupcake’ has a soggy bottomed TV fiasco and faces bake-off backlash she jumps at the chance to spend some time hiding out in St Aidan, dog sitting for her brother.

Picturesque Seaspray Cottage is meant to be Cressy Hobson’s port in the storm but with her blog sponsors having fled and her book deal gone sideways her funds are running low and she’s forced to turn to the locals for help. Soon her quiet weeks in Cornwall are filled with chasing sheep, saving the local retirement village, taking The Little Cornish Kitchen into people’s homes for baking nights…and keeping vigilant guard against romance.

The one and only time Cressy lost her head to love was over a decade ago while in St Aidan, and she won’t be making the same mistake again – a feat easier said than done when Ross Bradbury looks even better a decade on…and every step she takes seems to put him in her path!

I did not get tie to read this book as I am in college and had to concentrate on assignments. I'll keep an eye out for it as this sounds like a book I would enjoy.

I admit that the cover of Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen really drew my attention in - the promise tea and scones on the coast looked so very inviting. Once I started reading it became clear that if you love baking, dogs and romance then you will simply adore this book.

There are several themes in this book - baking (recipes provided at the end of the book), second chances, friendships, romance and the benefits of being part of a real community. It is certainly a lovely, feel good tale with a range of characters encountering all the goings on of village life. At times a little too drawn out for me with you really needing to appreciate dialogue heavy stories. So if loads of interaction and chatter of the various goings on in a tiny English village appeals, then this is certainly the book for you!

Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen provides a window into village life on the coast. If you enjoy character driven drama then you will relish this cast of people with their everyday adventures and incidental chatter not to mention the spectacular Cornish coast.

‘When I think how much I’ve looked forward to chilling by the sea and reconnecting with my happy place. And now I feel like a tidal wave has picked up my entire ordered, nicely level life and tumbled it to chaos.’

This is the sweetest kind of second-chance romance. It's a fun and charming contemporary that focuses on the fun as much as on the drama, giving characters a chance to show different aspects of their personalities in situations that feel just realistic enough to be believable while still maintaining the right level of fantasy.
I wasn't a big fan of leading lady Cressy at the beginning, but she grows on you as she grows as a person within the story. Linfoot does a great job of creating a believable character arc in which you get to know different aspects of the character as you explore the motivation behind her personality and decisions. Ross, on the other hand, is slightly unbelievably great. He's the ultimate romance hero in his perfection, which makes it honestly a bit annoying, but still great when everything inevitably gets resolved. And they're surrounded by a ton of interesting characters that works almost like a Greek chorus that comments and pushes the characters to act and move the story forward.
Overall, it's nothing genre-defining, but definitely enjoyable.

Happy thanks to NetGalley and One More Chapter for the charming read!

I was expecting a fairly cookie-cutter rom-com but what I got was so much more... so very much more!

Cressy, Ross and the crew are all as delightful, colourful and slightly larger-than-life, which is fairly de rigour for the genre, but Cressy and Ross has such depths too. Whilst there are plenty of laughs and crazy situations, the comedic elements are underpinned by such a huge amount of sadness too. There were times this book not only pulled at my heartstrings it darn well ripped my heart from my chest stomped up and down on it. Cressida isn't only running from an embarrassing TV moment and resulting online nastiness. For longer than is healthy she has also been running from a deeply buried and utterly soul-destroying pain.

Despite not even feeling in the right headspace to read the book, I fell completely in love with the characters in it, finding myself torn between not wanting to put it down and not wanting to ever finish it. I had to in the end just because I was so very desperate for Ross and Cressy to get their very deserved and much needed HEA. Thankfully there are other books set in St Aidan's, so I will be able to get future fixes of this wonderful world.

I would firstly like to say a big thank you to NetGalley and Rachel's Random Resources who very kindly forwarded me an arc copy of this book, for my Kindle, in return for my honest review.

This book pulled me in right from the very beginning, it was a wonderful, warm and cosy romance with a beautiful set of characters too.
With a setting in Cornwall, it was the perfect place for a rekindled romance and I absolutely loved the descriptions of all the food!
It was such a nice and cosy read and I couldn't wait to keep reading more about Cressy and I absolutely loved the baking.
There is also a wonderful selection of yummy recipes at the end of the book and they really made my mouth water, especially the Custard Cream Blondies!!!

Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen by Jane Linfoot

The Little Cornish Kitchen is going on tour!

I have read this book as a standalone. As I hadn't read the first book I feel that this slightly ruined the experience so I would not recommend reading this without reading the first book in the series - The Little Cornish Kitchen. This was an enjoyable book to read once I got into it, but I struggled focusing - it just didn't hold my attention so I found it easier to read in small doses.

A nice read completed by recipes for the Cressy's makes at the end of the book.

A little hard to get into the book. Overall a nice enough read with food and community. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me review this book.

My review of this book starts with a warning - it will make you hungry, very hungry. The descriptions of cakes and other bakery food are frequent and detailed and made me crave cakes. Luckily for me I usually have a good supply. I loved reading about some of the recipes and was very curious about some of the more unique ones, such as the golf balls! If Dressy had published a recipe book then I would have definitely been first in line to buy it!
This book is set in St. Aidens in Cornwall, a location that features in some other books by Jane Linfoot. This book features Cressy and Ross who are new characters, but also stars characters from previous books. It definitely can be read as a standalone novel though.
I found this book a little slow to get into, but the pace soon picked up. The book is very entertaining with the interactions between Cresssy. and Ross. I loved the residents in the care home too. This book has a real sense of community and helping each other. It is very current with showing how Social Media can have a big effect on your life, both positively and negatively.
I enjoyed reading this book, there were some sad themes, there was plenty of humour and lots of heartwarming moments. I look forward to reading Jane's next book.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for my ARC.

Another delightful book by Jane. Full of warmth, love and baked products. The book is set in Cornwall, which gives a magical setting to the book.

It took me a very long time to get into the book, once I did I started to enjoy it. I loved the dog and the funny moments he created. Overall I thought this feel good story was okay.

A charming story set in St. Aidan, Cornwall. Cressy arrives to pet sit for her brother Charlie and his wife Clemmie (stars of an earlier book by this author). The timing is perfect, as her career has suffered a blow.
Add in the appearance of her former love, Ross, as well as the supportive and fun residents of St. Aidan, and an entertaining read unfolds. I loved the gradual melting of the barriers Cressy had built around her heart to protect herself.

A very fast, engaging read. Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK/One More Chapter for access to the ARC.

I have read quite a few books by this author and this latest one is a wonderfully stunning and also poignant read. Set in the village of St. Aiden, Cornwall the author has brought this small coastal community to life.

Cressida, or Cressy as she prefers has come to St Aiden to pet sit for her brother and his wife. The timing is good for her as her career has taken a turn for the worse. She had a very good career on the internet from baking and sharing her recipes, tips and advice. However, this all went disastrously wrong when she appeared on a baking show.

She finds solitude to be her friend and has spent more time alone cultivating her internet persona to perfection that she has no time for anything else in her life. When she arrives in St Aiden, her sister in law has already lined a support system up for her. Cressy is polite but not that fussed. She also didn't realise that her old flame, Ross, was back in the village.

Tal;k about things tumbling down around her, the author really did go to town with Cressy. She then throws her headlong into a group of friends who are, well a bit bossy, but who actually is just what Cressy needs, even though she doesn't realise it.

The author does an amazingly mouthwatering job with cakes, brownies, blondies, sponges, meringues and a whole range of other delicious treats. It obviously fits in with the storyline as well as the title! The author has also made this a book about generations and this makes for some wonderful reading. Flirting and innuendos add a light touch to the story as does the antics of Diesel.

While this is a heartwarming and at times humorous story, the author touches on some very sad topics. For me, this is a way of keeping the storyline more realistic. It would be great if we could all live in a world without loss or of being scared. But life is as life is and that includes the sad times. The balance between the sadder themes is offset with some wonderful moments of hope for the future, second chances and starting afresh.

HEartwarming and wonderful from start to finish. This is definitely one for fans of contemporary fiction and romance as well as those who like stories with recipes. There is a selection of mouthwatering recipes at the end of the book as well. This is a book I would definitely recommend.

This book is utterly adorable and just so sweet. It is the perfect cure to chase those winter blues away. Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen is technically a stand-alone (and can be read as one). But it is a continuation of The Little Cornish Kitchen book, which followed Clemmie and Charlie's love story. I was a little overwhelmed while reading the first few chapters (just like Cressy was) because I was introduced to so many characters right away, and it felt like I should know them. That overwhelmed feeling did disappear as I became familiar with all the secondary characters in this book.

All the characters in this book are fun, relatable, and just so quirky at times. Cressy is a wonderful main character, and I loved watching as she opened her heart to new friends and the possibility of love with a man who broke her heart so many years ago. The scenes with the seniors in the retirement home were just so charming. They were just so much fun and full of life. I definitely teared up (in a happy way) while reading some of Cressy's interactions with some of the seniors. Listening to them talk about their lives reminds me of all those chats I have with my Nanny at her kitchen table.

The romance between Cressy and Ross is a second chance and forced proximity romance. These two had a relationship back when they were in university, but things ended badly between the two of them. Cressy and Ross's failed relationship would end up shaping how Cressy interacted with people around her. She built this wall around her heart and kept everyone at arm's length. These two have the shock of their lives when they see each other at the café in St. Aidan. Things between these two become even more complicated when they end up being roommates for a few months (to help take care of Charlie and Clemmie's pets). I like these two, as a couple. I could see their chemistry, and there were definitely some sparks when they were together. However, there were moments I wanted to lock them in a room and scream at them to talk out their problems and to just kiss already. It felt like every step they took forward in their relationship; they would take two back because of some miscommunication.

Aaaand there goes my diet, LOL. This book has next-level food talk in it. I will admit that I had to put this book down and run out to the nearest store and buy some yummy baked goods. Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen is just one of those books you need to read with food. It's a must!

Beware! There are some pretty darn cute animals in this book. Diesel and Pancake really stole the spotlight at times, and I just wanted to reach in and give them big squishy hugs.

If you are looking for a fun, sweet read to help cheer you up this winter, you should read Tea For Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen.
