Cressida Cupcake is an internet star, until a career disaster leaves her hiding out at her brother’s home in the pretty seaside village of St Aiden. She wants to keep herself to herself, but the villagers of St Aiden have other ideas and rope her in to help save the local retirement home. Cressy also wasn’t planning on bumping into her ex, Ross!

Cressy is a lovely character who’s going through a really difficult time. You really feel for her and the situation which she finds herself in, and who could blame her for wanting to be in St Aiden to lick her wounds. The location is wonderful and was the perfect backdrop for these cold winter nights! The storyline started well for me, although it did slow up a little throughout the middle of the book. Whilst I have read other books from this series, it was nice to be reintroduced to some of the other characters and of course, the village. Cressy’s storyline flowed along at a nice pace and I enjoyed her involvement with saving the retirement home, along with taking her baking skills into the villagers’ homes!

Of course, this is a romantic read, and the romance begins with the introduction of Cressy’s first true love, Ross. Their storyline was heart-warming, light hearted and one which I enjoyed. The book is filled with love and friendships, with lots of fun and laughter to go along with it. It also has the added bonus of some tasty recipes at the back of the book which you can try out at home! It’s a lovely read of second chances and new starts which I would recommend.

Another girl=power centred read from Jane Linfoot; I'd read the story of Clemmie and initially, I wasn't as taken with Cressy's tale...however as the story got going, I found the book harder and harder to put down. There is a trigger warning of fertility issues and baby loss - without spoilers, it's very much a story that deals with the processing of emotions around these life events.

Despite those heavy sounding topics, it's an easy read, with so many near miss moments - I love the characters, their lives and how lifelike the whole setting feels. It's a dreamy bit of escapism that doesn't feel far-fetched. I enjoyed reading this, it's a good one for before bed - you don't go to bed tense, but full of the feelings of community and love.

Why is it you can never go wrong when reading a story based in Cornwall. This one is yet another great book. and very well written.. This has great characters and wonderful settings and based on second chances. Well worth a read as you will really enjoy this as I have done. Worth far more than 5 stars.

Tea for two at the little cornish kitchen is such a fun easy read, perfect for those moments you just want to escape into a good book. It tells the story of Cressida an internet sensation who is about to discover who she really is and have some fun along the way.
A thoroughly enjoyable read, have some cupcakes whilst you read for the perfect experience.

This is all about second chances. Cressy's career has imposed and, let' face it, she's sort of hiding out while house sitting for her brother in Cornwall. Never one to sit still for long, she's soon doing baking nights at home (oh the sweets!) And then there's Ross. These two have a history, and it's not a good one, really, but it's been years and it's time for both of them to get over it. And over it they are! It's a sweet novel set in a delightful Cornish village. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Perfect for a lazy day read.

This is a book of second chances and friendship. You can’t help but love Cressy as she hides out in St Aiden at her brothers place after a career disaster. Instead of keeping herself hidden she finds friendship as she bakes with the residents of the care home. There were plenty of light hearted moments and some fabulous baking to make your mouth water as well as a handsome vet from her past.

I enjoyed everything about this book, great supporting characters as well as lots of animal antics. It’s definitely a book you can’t put down and I will be searching for more books by Jane Linfoot to enjoy

I loved the setting of this book, perfect for new hopes and dreams and second chances.

The story, is a lovely engaging read. It is set in St Aiden, where Cressy comes back to after she was trolled on the internet. She is looking after her brothers house as well as trying to work out how to revive her career.

Cressy is trying to find herself again, and the last thing she’s looking for is romance when she comes face to face with Ross, who she has history with, which she’s not ready to go into.

There’s a cute cat and dog, and some fabulous friends she makes who call themselves Mermaids, not to mention the residents of a care home

There was a lot community spirit throughout this book and this was shown when The Little Cornish Kitchen went on tour, showing how Cressida Cupcake dealt with different circumstances.

The book has lovely, interesting characters and baked goods that will make your mouth water

Plus, there’s tasty food and recipes at the end.

This adorable book is your typical she's-got-it-together-city-girl-but-now-needs-help-from-the-country-locals plot that I love. Easy, breezy writing that is the perfect way to settle in when you need a lighthearted book to cure the winter blahs. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to more from this author.

This is the 1st book that I have read by this author, Jane Linfoot. I enjoyed her writing style although this book is written similar to a enemy to friends trope, which is not my favorite, to be honest.

What I did adore was the wonderful female friendships, the glorious baking and the misunderstanding resolved.

I did feel the story dragged a bit, probably due to me wanting the conflict resolved. I enjoyed the second half of the book more than the first half.

Make sure you have a steady stream of cakes, blondies, meringues, icing, cookies etc.. handy to munch on as you read this, or forever feel the hunger!

So lovely to be back in St. Aiden with a tale from Jane Linfoot, and this definitely works as a standalone novel.

Between the cute cat, fantastic dog, hunky vet, the friendship group that call themselves Mermaids, and some fabulous residents in a care home in addition to community spirit in spades, this is a fabulous place for Cressida to run to .

Especially after getting a whole bunch of internet trolling and needing to escape for a while, and she is housesitting for her brother, while trying to work out the mess her career has turned into.

I loved the concept of The Little Cornish Kitchen going on tour, and seeing how Cressida Cupcake would deal with various situations.

I was also hooked on her interactions with Ross, who has has past history with, but that I really fell for!

And Millie was easily one of my favourite characters, a 10 year old who is very switched on, has a habit of repeating things with the best comic timing, she's great!

I just loved every second I spent amongst these characters in this all so familiar setting. Just please Jane Linfoot don't make us wait so long for your next book!

After a soggy bottom incident on a famous baking show Cressida Cupcake escapes to her brothers home in St Aiden to pet sit and hide! Famous for her baking blog this blip on national TV has hit her hard. Not only are her sponsors pulling away but, the advance on her first cookbook is not looking too good either. When she thinks can not get any worse she literally bumps into her first love on the beach whilst Diesel the dog takes her for a walk. She simply wants to hide away in the flat but her sister in-laws friends and the residents of the local retirement village have different ideas!
What follows is the village pulling together to save the retirement village with Cressy Cupcake right in the middle of it all. Cressy finds friendship for the first time in her life in the form of the mermaids and the residents of the retirement village. She learns to open up and share and she has a few adventures on the way.
A really good read with both funny and poignant moments .The lovely recipes at the back it has inspired me to try one of the gorgeous sounding brownie recipes with my new pink mixer.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Cressida heads to a small town in the country after enduring a fiasco at work. She tries to keep a low profile while dog sitting for her brother. I liked the different characters. This book was a quick read.

Tea For Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen by Jane Linfoot is an excellent cozy, contemporary romance that has fun, love, tasty culinary delights, and a wonderful cast of characters that drew me in from page one. I loved it!

Cornwall is fabulous and it is equally awesome as a backdrop for escapes, second chances, and new hopes and dreams.

I loved the smooth, easy, and laid back, and engaging narrative. St. Aiden is the perfect village to return to and as the scene for Cressy Hobson’s fresh start and regrouping from a cluster of snafus that make up her current circumstances. As she is finding herself again, with romance rightfully on the back burner, a blast from the past, Ross Bradbury, pops up back into her world. Can they both find love again and rekindle a flame that was possibly never really snuffed out?

I really enjoyed following along on their journey to find out. Great cast of characters, fun dialogue, relaxing romantic read, and drooling descriptions of baked goods abound.

As a plus…tasty food and recipes!
