This book was as delicious a read as the description of the yummylicious bakes that are woven throughout the story . Cressida Cupcake is licking her wounds while pet sitting at her brother's home in beauty Cornwall. A successful media influencer, blogger and queen of cupcakes, she has fallen victims to trolls after embarrassing herself on a baking show and hopes a couple of months lying low is all she needs. However when her book deal falls through and her sponsors drop her, she's left in serious need of earning money . Ably assisted by the Mermaids ,her sister in law's lovely group of girlfriends, she embraces new adventures ,rebuilds her brand, her finances and career and helping to save the lovely home for retired people which is peopled by the most adorable characters. The only fly in the ointment is Ross, the man who broke her heart twelve years ago. He is also in Cornwall ,a much loved vet and still her brother's best friend. Their shared history haunts them both. Mired in misunderstandings and heartbreak they seemed destined to never overcome their pain but will Cornwall works its magic and life will offer them a second chance of happiness? I absolutely devoured this book and wanted to enter its pages and live there. I'm now off to try out the delicious recipes included !

Cressida is an Internet star famous for baking cupcakes until things go seriously wrong in a baking TV show, so she escapes to St Aidan to doggy sit for her brother. There she bumps into Ross, with whom she had history many years before, and from which she is still recovering.
It's always a pleasure to return to St Aidan in Cornwall, I feel as if I would move there tomorrow, given half the chance. The community spirit shown, in this case for the village's retirement home, is uplifting, as is the way that Cressida is taken into the villager's hearts. This is the type of book that you can just sit in a quiet room, in the warm and enjoy - or even in a noisy room and just let everything go around you whilst you are lost in the story.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

New for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen by Jane Linfoot is a lovely, feel good story. Lots of very appealing characters that would be great to meet for real! An engaging storyline with lots going on and a totally enjoyable conclusion, including some great recipes. I highly recommend this book and getting whisked away to another world.

Although this is the second book in a series, this works perfectly as a standalone – I hadn't read the first instalment (but would like to read it now!).

I enjoyed the writing style, it was well paced and had a very humorous side to it as well as covering a range of issues from ageing to love to cookery! The beach setting in Cornwall was perfect. All this taken together was a good recipe that has whet my appetite for future books in the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read a free advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I received an ARC of, Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen, by Jane Linfoot. This was a nice story about, starting over and maybe finding love. Cressy is a nice character. I love the recipe in the back of the book.

An engaging and sweet second chance romance is right on par for me and I really liked this story.

This is the second in a series and I personally felt lost when starting this since I hadn’t read the first book (The Little Cornish Kitchen). I paused my reading of this, read the first, and found I enjoyed the second far more once I had a little more understanding of some of the characters (both stories were very fun reads).

🧁 Recipes included 🧁

Pleasant romance set in Cornwall surrounded by baking, cakes and friendships- what could be better on a cold winters day curled by the fire

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I did enjoy the delicious treats that were in this book, and had me craving brownies. I also loved the recipes at the back. I guess I found that it was a little too long in parts and the romance wasn't the centre of the story. Which is fine of course.
3.5 stars

I loved the story of Cressida and her cupcake business. It was a fascinating read and the characters were lovely. Seaspray Cottage sounds like an ideal retreat to gather your thoughts and get your life back on track as it did for Cressida. It was heartbreaking at times and I loved following the love story.

Cressy is an internet sensation called Cressida Cupcake but when things go sideways during a bake-off she runs at the opportunity to go in hiding, at the St Aidan.
When she starts to run low on money she is forced to turn to the locals for some help.
She promises herself she will not make the same mistake she did a little over a decade ago. But when Ross is looking better than ever that is a little hard to ignore. And every time it seems she he is always in her path.

Tea for Two at the Little Cornish Kitchen is a sweet, engaging story that reminds us that sometimes it's nice to settle down, make roots, and have a place to call home.
I couldn't get enough of these wonderful characters you care about these characters, and can read about them and their lives and feel more connected to them.
This book has the perfect mix of laughs, warm friendships, sparks of attraction and beautiful moments one will not forget. They are so well written and very likable.
Because of Jane Linfoot's expressive and sparkling descriptions the story comes to life incredibly well.
Full of fun, great moments, and laughter. I couldn't wipe the smile of my face reading this or put this book down.
Jane Linfoot, has done an outstanding job and now I've got to read more!

This is a sweet and fun second-chance romance. We follow Cressida through her journey on St. Aiden's, including ups and downs, her reconnection with an ex, and her great reinvention. It will be interesting to catch up with her in the future. As an added bonus, there are yummy recipes at the end!

This book was sent to me by Netgalley electronically for review. It is a quick read...this author, Linfoot, weaves a story that is intriguing about characters who are totally believable. I enjoyed this book...cuddle up, get a warm afghan, light the fire, and enjoy an afternoon with these people...the story could be real...it could be just for fun...I liked this.
