I received an ARC of, The Great Summer Street Party Part 3: Blue Skies and Blackberry Pies, by Georgia Hill. I really enjoyed this story. The characters and setting are great. Not the best time period, but they are called the greatest generation for a reason.

I loved this series as I read it in the three parts as they were released. I always love a Georgia hill book, they are always really feel good, they always have great characters and a great storyline and this book is no exception. Loved it.

In book three, the reader returns to Berecombe-by-the-Sea, the small village that welcomed American soldiers in WWII to live and train for the important and dangerous mission of D-Day that was to occur. Berecombe has welcomed all the soldiers, their families and others interested back to reflect on that stressful time in history and celebrate the victory achieved on the seventy-fifth anniversary.

I believe each book in this series can be read independently, but as always reading an entire series is usually the way to go, to appreciate the full story envisioned by the author.

We met Ashely and Eddie in book one and this book continues their story as well as the many other plots going on in this series. The characters are varied in age, from young to old, which is a trait I especially enjoy in a book. There are also a few adorable dogs that bring joy.

While the story does have some serious issues, it is more filled with everyday life in Berecombe and it is definitely a place I wish I could visit and become a part of the community.

I enjoyed this book and the entire series. I want to thank HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter and NetGalley for giving me the pleasure of reading the advance reader copy, with no obligation to write a review. My review is written freely as a hobby, and is totally my own opinion, not influenced by receiving the ARC.

I loved the first two books in this series and was lucky enough to have received an advanced copy of this one so could read it straight after the second one. It continues the story of Ashley and Eddie's romance, with its twists and turns, plus other goings on in Berecombe. With the wonderful cast of characters from the first two books it continues mixing present day and memories of WW2 and those involved in it. I give my reasons based on how much I've enjoyed a book, rather than any critique of it : 4* is an enjoyable book that I can recommend to others, 5* is one that has drawn me in such that I become totally involved in it. This book, for me, is firmly in the 5* camp and I draw hope from the hints of new characters that will give me the opportunity of visiting this wonderful town with its sense of community again.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book and I have already pre-ordered it for a "real" copy on release.
