Focusing on her career for years, her personal life is on pause for a good while. Neglecting her family, her personal life, she realizes she needs time away when she doesn’t get what she thought she was working hard for. She heads home, home where she pretty much has avoided. She has her own way of doing things and coming home into chaos, meeting Jagger, opposite of her. I enjoyed how much Jagger was able to get her to relax and enjoy life. Cute opposites attract story!

Maybe We Won’t is book three in Melissa Foster’s Silver Harbor Series. I have loved every book in this series. Deirdra is an attorney with a lot of resentment toward her mother who recently passed away. Josia “Jagger” Jones is a free-spirited chef/musician who has a passion for life.

I am so in love with these two characters and Meliss’s talented writing style. She has created a whole world of wonderful and colorful characters on Silver Island. With patience and diligence Jagger tries to help Deirdra to release her past hurts, regrets, and resentments. Will Jagger and Dolly(his dog) be successful in helping Deirdra find her true self again? Maybe Won’t is a passionate and beautiful story of family, love, and forgiveness. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. *****

Once again, Foster brought me to tears by the end of this book. Watching Didi and Jagger come together was fun. I loved watching Didi learn more about herself and rediscover who she once was and I adored Jagger's role in it. I was worried that there would be a lot of focus on the age difference, but that wasn't the focus of the tensions. Their tensions came with the fact that she's a planner with the world on her shoulders and he's free and prefers to not have a plan. The playfulness they got into was a joy to watch, and while I don't remember Cait and Abby's books (I might have joined the series after their books), I loved the sister dynamic.

Another stellar read from Foster with heat and so so much heart.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Maybe We Will (Silver Harbor #1)
Maybe We Should (Silver Harbor #2)

This is Deirdra and Jagger’s story. These two are opposites. She’s a workaholic and he is super laid back just living life with him and his dog. She went back home after being passed over with a promotion. She figures if she takes two months away her boss will realize all the work she does. She enjoys her time with her sisters but does not want to bring up the hurtful past she had at home. Jagger seems to always be around. He grew up with his own issues and knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it. He just knows if Deirdra were to deal with her past and move forward she would have a better life and see she is just working herself to death. But what happens if she slows down and gives into him? They have different goals will they be able to have a future together or was it all just a fling?

I highly recommend this book.

Abby is a chief and she goes home to an Island where she grew up with her sister and mother. Her father she remembers but he passed away when she was younger. Now taking care of the home and the restaurant after their mother passed she also discovers a half-sister they knew nothing about, surprise. She also meets Aiden who is told to take a vacation. He is a workaholic. The two met and Aiden helps Abby through her emotions, feelings, and everything else she has going on with the death of her mother, the bistro, and just all of the new information. The two of them not looking for anything are surprised that they get along so well.
Neither of these two people would have met in any social circle. Her being a chief and he is in finance. With each character having their guard down and just being open with the other person with no airs they found that they blend together for each other, yin and yang sort of speak. There is a lot going on in this book and it took me a while to finish for I had just lost my mother, which though she was in her nineties still brought up a lot of emotions. This is a well-written book with very good characters.

Deirdra is finally taking some time off from her job as a workaholic lawyer. She's back in town on their small island after having been overlooked for a promotion, and she's fretting. Why? She's chafing at having to be away from the city, she's constantly having to be around too hot hippie (her word not mine) Jagger, and she hates being in the same spot that holds so many bad memories of her mother. But when she finds herself falling into Jagger's orbit, will the fact that their fling has an expiration date be enough to save her heart from breaking?

Jagger likes getting under Deirdra's skin a little too much. He can't seem to help it, it makes him incredibly aroused to see her eyes flashing irritation at him. Even negative attention from the uptight but beautiful lawyer makes him happy. He'd love to see her with her guards lowered, having fun with him. Will she ever let him into her heart, even just a little? Can he convince her to go with the flow and give into the feelings he knows are there underneath her put together exterior?

Just a bit of forewarning here - grab a box of tissues before reading, because you'll need it once Deirdra starts digging into her issues. I was incredibly proud of her as she worked through them, as she grew far more than I ever imagined she would. Her and Jagger's story is heartbreaking in places, humorous and sweet in places, and has a lot of heart and serious chemistry. The whole crew plus some others from different series are there, including Jagger's brother Gabe, whose character is written with sensitivity. I love this small island world Melissa has created, and cannot wait for the next Silver Harbor resident to fall in love.

With the mentions of Deirdra in previous books, I wasn't sure how much I would like her story, but I loved it. This book took me on a fun emotional journey with Deirdra and Jagger and the whole series has been one of my favorites from this author.

This is my first book by Ms. Foster and I loved it. Emotionally packed (a tearjerker). A delicious opposites attract with all the feels that makes you want to not only visit Silver Harbor but makes you want to stay there.

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.

What a sweet romance this is. Third in the series, this is the story of Deirdra, the tight-laced attorney and Jagger, the hemp wearing chef/musician. Moments of heat, heartbreak and difficult family history. The explanation of Jagger's brother, Gabe's, autism is specific and very well written. Highly recommend!

This story from Melissa Foster was a bit different. We've known the stories of the De Messieres sisters. Each has dealt with the death of their father and the decline of their mother in different ways. However, Deidra has accumulated the most bitterness and resentment of all. She's hanging on to her resentments; when she's skipped over for a promotion, resentment takes on new dimensions. And along comes Jagger, what a sweet guy; he's her opposite in every way, and he's the healing balm needed. The story is a beautiful tale of how Jagger helps her see she is so much more than her job. How she's so much more than her bitterness, and she needs to let go and live. A story of forgiveness and moving forward told in a sweetly steamy way that only Melissa Foster can do. I enjoy her books so much, especially when she dives into her characters letting go of past hurts to embrace the love before them.

Returning to the Island, Melissa Foster has written an opposites attract, grumpy sunshine between two characters that are just perfect for one another. Jagger is the carefree chef with wanderlust in his bones while Dierdra is the uptight lawyer with little time for anything but work. He flies by the seat of his pants, while she has her life planned out for years. Well she did, and as Jagger and Dierdra (Dee) spend more time together they both begin to realize, maybe the future would be brighter with the other in it.

When Dierdra’s company passes her over for a much deserved job promotion, she finally takes some overdue vacation time and returns to the New England island she grew up on to spend some time with her 2 sisters. Jagger has worked for her sister’s cafe off and on for years and has visited the island even longer. He never stays in place for long, but makes friends wherever he goes. Each has plans for their next move after the summer, but what starts out as a summer fling full of passion and fun, quickly opens them both up to the possibility of more.

I loved how uptight Dee was to Jagger’s laissez faire attitude and how focused he was on tearing down her walls one by one. She uses her walls to hide her feelings of sadness over her parents’ deaths and her guilt over missing so much of her sisters’ lives. Never allowing herself to feel, has left her an uptight workaholic who avoids her home as much as possible. I loved how Jagger helped Dee to find her carefree side and rethink the path her life is on. Their chemistry led to some really fun dialogue and some mildly steamy scenes. This slow burn summer romance was a sweet ride from start to finish.

Whoever invented the saying OPPOSITES ATTRACT, I'm sure they had Deirdra and Jagger in mind.
These two couldn't be more different even if they tried. She was a no-nonsense workaholic and he was a free spirit not wanting to put roots. She had a lot of unresolved issues from her past that kept preventing her from moving on. She has buried her hurts so deep it seems impossible for her to move on with her life. Enters Jagger who manages to break through her wall and shows her that there is more to life than 80 hours workdays. The more time they spend together, the more she realizes that she has been hiding for far too long and with his help she can finally see what makes her really happy.

It was a pleasure to see Deirdra transforming before my eyes and seeing her fall in love with Jagger. Hopefully this series continues because I've grown quite fond of this little island and its residence and am looking forward to reading more of their shenanigans.

I really wasn't sure I was going to like Jagger. I mean he had his funny moments but at first that's about it for me. But then...The way he was able to stay by Deirdra, be there for his autisic brother and everyone else, really won me over! Was good to see Deirdra become closer to her sisters and truly make an effort to be present for them instead of having an excuse. The way Jagger stuck by her and helped her see her worth as well as work through her anger and grief concerning her mom, makes him pretty awesome! Always great to catch up with the rest of the crew from the island. Ms. Foster has another winner with this latest book! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.

The final instalment (I assume) in the sister of Silver Harbor series. Deidra is the oldest sister who hates the island and left it as soon as she could to become a lawyer (aka workaholic) in Boston. However, when she begins to feel underappreciated at work and takes some time away her priorities begin to shift and she finds romance with the most unlikely of suitors.
I really enjoyed this series, it was super easy to read and I love how the characters had such history with each other and a deep rooted love; although not necessarily romantic. Each of the sisters has had a different discovery to find their own happiness. Easy to read and uplifting.

Maybe We Won't is the third book in the series and although I think you may be able to read this as standalone, it really should be read with the rest of the series. I loved the series so much, it dealt with family trauma in such a respectful way with a wonderful focus on healing, finding yourself and building new relationships. This story focuses on the most detached sister, Deidre and the free spirit Jagger who works for her sister on and off. It was a great mix of heart and spice, tons of chemistry between the two characters, and a nicely dealt with story of trauma and family.

Maybe We Won’t by Melissa Foster
I Loved this story so much. I’ve been waiting on Deidra’s story as we have seen her and Jagger both in previous books . Deidra has been running from her past where she had to grow up way to fast and she has buried herself in work for years. She comes back to Silver Island to help plan her sisters engagement party and finds herself drawn to the drifter Jagger Jones. I love the honesty, and when Didi’s wall finally crumbles. I love how thoughtful Jagger is and how playful he is with Deidra. This is a great story, heartfelt and Wonderful. As usual, I wanted to crawl into the book and be part of the story. Melissa Foster has a way with words that captivates you from the first page. Get it, read it! You won’t be disappointed.

***5 Stars***

After finishing Maybe We Should, I was all in for Deirdra and Jagger’s HEA and I wasn’t disappointed. It had all the goodness of an opposites attract, small town romance and left me crossing my toes that we’d see these characters again at some point down the road.

Jagger and Deirdra were a lot of fun to get to know. Deirdra may be an uber driven workaholic, but she truly does love hard and deep even though she holds herself back. Jagger is very much a laid back, go with the flow kind of guy, but he’s got more of a ‘plan’ than anyone knows. Their journey was a rocky one at times, but when one is working at breaking down walls and earning trust that’s been broken, it’s always a long haul, but Jagger definitely showed Didi just how stubborn he was in his own special way. And watching as walls start to crumble and how both of their worlds shift (for the better) was a lot of fun.

This was a great read. It had all the things I love in a romance ~ heart, heat and just really complex but likable characters that you just want to see get the HEA they deserve. I loved catching up with Cait and Brant and Abby and Aiden. I wish we got to spend a little more time with Jagger’s family and friends, but the moments we got were awesome, but the Bra Brigade definitely stole the show for me.

Dierdra spent much of her childhood caring for her younger sisters and alcoholic mother. She has no interest in returning to Silver Island and those memories for anything less than her sister’s wedding. Besides, her unappreciative boss needs to realize how important she is to the company and she hopes a couple months away will open his eyes and convince him to make her a partner as she deserves.

Jagger has been through a lot, and it’s taught him the value of soft island breezes, family, friends, and maybe even a summer fling with the beautiful, uppity Dierdra. Falling in love isn’t part of the plan, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Now he needs to convince Dierdra to take a chance on a future together.

This is an opposites attract romance. Dierdra is a perfectionist. A lawyer and city girl, she’s spent so many years controlling all aspects of her life that she doesn’t know how to handle her off-the-rails attraction to a free-spirited cook and musician who goes where the wind blows.

Jagger sees the warm, caring woman under the formidable shell and wants Dierdra to see it, too. He knows if she’ll just let down those thick walls she hides behind, happiness and love await.

While this is a romance, it’s also a lesson in taking risks, opening yourself up to possibilities, and appreciating the people who care.
