A great 2nd book in the Adventures in Love series!
In Book 2, we meet Everly who is forced to come home to live with her parents after an unexpected breakup with her boyfriend and becoming a single mom. As she lands a job at Live Life Adventures, she meets Blake who is one of the owners of the organization. Unfortunately for her, Blake is very handsome but broody and kind of a jerk to her!
The relationship between Blake and Everly is rocky in the beginning, but starts turning really sweet when Blake falls for Sam, Everly's son. She is enamored at the way Blake cares for Sam and how Sam immediately feels about Blake. Their relationship blossoms pretty quickly from there. I love how protective Blake is of both Sam and Everly.
I really enjoy reading this author, she creates characters that are relatable and stories that take you on a journey that you never knew you needed. Great read and can't wait for more!!

3.75-4 stars. Aww, this was a super cute read. Risky is the second book in the Adventures in Love series and is Everly and Blake's book. Blake runs a camping adventure business with his two friends. Everly is a single mom of a toddler whose ex wanted nothing to do with the baby. She moved back in with her parents and gets a job in the office of Blake's business. Blake is grumpy but warms up to Everly soon and they become friends, which leads to love.

This was a good, feel good book. I really liked Everly and Blake. Their story was a sweet, easy read. There was low angst with no big break up, good chemistry, an enjoyable single mom storyline and it was sexy and entertaining. I liked the way their relationship developed at a good pace, but was not insta-love or slow burn. I enjoyed the first book in this series, but I liked Risky even more.

Overall, this was an enjoyable book. I like this series and I look forward to more from it and from Ms. Reynolds in the future.

I really enjoyed this book, and the series is a must read one.

The setting is spectacular; the characters are so well drawn, and I loved the interaction and chemistry between them and how their love blossoms slowly but steadily.

A beautiful romance story with a second chance at love that deserves to take the risk.

🆓📖Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

Everly and Blake and Sam took my heart. She is a single mom and I am a sucker for those. I loved her determination. I love the effortless way Blake just went with the flow and really didn't fight the pull to her. This was sexy and sweet and heartwarming and funny.

Oh my goodness, this is so sweet and heartwarming. Especially when you read how Blake is with Everly and her son, Sampson. The fact that Sampson was immediately taken by Blake and vice versa was the swooniest thing. I loved how Blake kind of gradually get to know Everly and the shift in their relationship dynamic felt natural. It wasn't a slow burn but they also don't act on their attraction immediately. I loved that and they just fit together perfectly.

I really love Aurora Rose Reynolds’ style of storytelling. Her determined and devoted alpha males are a bit on the bossy side, and once they set their sights on the heroine, it’s game over. Lightning strikes—a moment Reynolds describes as the “boom”—and they know down to their core that she’s the one. Then the fun starts as they set about doing whatever it takes to win her heart. The way that ARR captures those moments of insta-love and the storm of surging emotions are one of the reasons why I love her stories so much. I’m totally an escapism reader, and ARR consistently provides me with a vehicle for those particular getaways.

Risky is the second book in the Adventures in Love series, and I’m really enjoying this world and these characters. Grumpy, gruff Blake is a mountain man running an adventure excursion business with his two co-owners. Everly is a single mom to her adorable, show-stealing son, Sam, and she’s left her big city life behind to return home for a fresh start. She and Same move in with her parents, and she lands a job as the office manager of Blake’s company where the fireworks between them start almost immediately. There’s a lot of push and pull between Blake and Everly as their relationship builds, and they’ve got some things to overcome between Blake’s baggage and Everly’s reluctance to enter into a relationship after everything she’s been through.

Risky was a sweet, charming and endearing romance that was low on angsty drama. Full of feels and friendship that catches fire, I loved the slow burn build-up of Blake and Everly’s love story. Four stars from me for Risky by Aurora Rose Reynolds!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. Everly moved back in with her parents with her son, Sampson. The men of Live Life Adventures are in need of an office manager and a fill in for Tanner once his baby is born. Blake tends to need to be in control and is not happy that Tanner and Maverick made this selection without his input.

Blake is the McGrouchy Pants of the group. He has a lot on his plate with his family, the business and the feisty brunette with the adorable son. Everly’s son quickly takes a liking to Blake. Blake has to decide if he is ready to let go and live his life even if that means letting go of the control.

Everly has her own problems not to mention a son that she has to provide for. McGrouchy Pants is not going to get in the way of her succeeding at this job. These two have a rocky beginning and readers will be on the will they/won’t they seesaw right along with them. This book gives readers a better insight into Blake and allows them to have a better understanding of the things he does.

I am loving this series and can’t wait to jump into Maverick’s story.

What a perfect story! Everly & Blake are so much swoony goodness, and then add in Sampson & the immediate bond he has with Blake & *plop*! I am here for it!!

There's friendship & love & family & brilliance.

One of the things that makes ARR a favorite author for me is the way her stories are crafted. There is suspense, but it's not about relationship angst. Her books are SAFE and relaxing. I never have to wonder with her words. And that makes me devour them all, time and time again!!

😍😍😍😍

✨This is a workplace, grumpy/sunshine, single mom romance. We finally got to meet Blake who is one of the co-owners of the business Everly gets a job at when she moves back to her hometown.
✨ When I think of this book, I just think of Blake falling in love with Everly’s son. It was love at first sight for them and it made me swoon. Everly was obviously there too and I loved their relationship as well. I loved that these two were both going through real life issues and had each other to lean on.

I loved everything about this book! It shows that true love is worth the risk.

Blake is a growly, sometimes grumpy man. Honestly, after learning all that he carries on his shoulders, I don't blame him. He's an amazing, caring man. I love how protective and loving he is.

Everly is guarding her heart after the man she thought loved her broke her heart. She's an amazing mother to adorable little Sampson, hardworking and caring.

The interactions between Blake and Sampson are so sweet! He's amazing with him! He starts out grumpy with Everly but he's just fighting the attraction he feels for her. When they finally let things happen, it's EVERYTHING! Blake realizes that he wasn't truly living, just going through the motions, until Everly and Sampson came along. Everly finally feels what it's like to have a man love her and even more importantly, love her son like his own. They are the cutest little family!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

It was my first read by Aurora Rose Reynolds, and it definitely will not be the last. It was a sweet, fast pace, single parent, a grumpy hero, and small town book. All my favorite kind of tropes. Lol

Everly discovered she was pregnant with her boyfriend, but he didn't want have anything to do with the baby so Everly left him. She moved back home to live with her parents. She needed a job to help support her and her baby. She got hired by Tanner and Maverick, but Blake was against it, due to him being scared of not being able to stay away from her. He was totally a grump at first, but when he turned soft, my heart. Totally tugged me at my heartstrings.

I can't wait for Maverick's book!!

Risky is one of those stories that has your heart invested right from the start. Mr Grumpy aka Blake hides a heart the size of Texas behind all the bad mood that he shows the world. Everly and her son Sam have been dealt a bad hand in love but she is fighting back to claim her new life. A few bad interactions has Everly on the back foot with Blake but as he starts to show her and Sampson what real love is like she might not be able to fight the attraction that radiates between them. A storyline filled with hope, love, inspiration and so much heart will have you experiencing every emotion possible. Blake and Everly’s story also has heat, witty banter and passion. A story about love and family that warms you heart.

3.5⭐️
Risky by Aurora Rose Reynolds was my first novel by this author. This was sweet, sort of like a cozy romance with a little steam. Likable characters with a fun romance. And an ending to love that’s all tide up in a bow. Will I read another by this author? Probably.

When Everly’s boyfriend wants nothing to do with her or their son she returns to Montana to be with her family. She has been hired by Live Life Adventures as their office manager and they are happy to look after her 10-month-old son Sam while she works. She is attracted to Blake and should be deterred by his surly attitude, but she finds out there is a lot more to his attitude than she imagined.

Blake is one of the partners at Live Life Adventures and is fighting to deny his feelings for Everly however she breaks through his walls and has him wanting to share the secrets that are weighing him down. It isn’t long before he falls in love with her and her son there is nothing he won’t do to protect them.

This is a low angst romantic story with a little family turmoil that must be dealt with. Everly, Blake and Sam create a beautiful family and you know that as long as they are together they can handle anything that live throws at them.

A beautiful sequel to Rushed, the first book in the series. Everly Standler never thought she would be a single mother, but that was before her long-time boyfriend said that he didn’t want to be a dad. Moving home with her young son Sampson, she will live with her parents until she can find a job. After being hired by Live Life Adventures, her bosses seem to be easy to work for, well Tanner and Maverick are, but she is unsure about Blake. He is a bit of an issue as he seems angry most of the time, especially with her. Blake is dealing with a family situation that he was forced into and sees no way to make things better. When he learns that she is having an issue with her ex, he steps in to support her as she deals with her ex and his parents. There is no high level of suspense or danger, just a charming “feel good” romance that deals with families and their everyday lives. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

Blake and Everly’s story is another fantastic read from one of my favorite authors, I love absolutely everything Aurora Rose Reynolds writes.

These two will melt you heart, their story is sweet and sassy with some quite steamy moments. Everly is a single mom that has moved home with her parents after a nasty breakup. Blake, he is not ready to settle down, he tries his hardest not to want Everly, but when he meets her son Sampson, he knows he can’t fight the attraction.

There will be times that your emotions will get the better of you and you might shed a tear or two. Blake is an amazing book boyfriend, the way his is with her son will melt you heart.

Risky by Aurora Rose Reynolds is book Two in the Adventures in Love Series. This is the story of Blake and Everly. Blake seems not to be a people person with his grumpy attitude but he has the weight of the world on him and he is keeping secrets from his family. Everly has just broken up with her boyfriend who has decided he doesn't want to be a father nor does he seem to want her anymore either. So she has returned to home and moved into her parents house along with her 10 month old son Sampson. This has lead her to take a job as a office manger at Live Life Adventures and she starts working with Blake. Blake feels a connection with very protective on Everly and her son. So although they seem to but heads he is all alpha over them. I am such a fan of this author she can do no wrong in my eyes. Loved this book and can't wait to read more from this author and series.

Blake and Everly’s story was sweet and adorable. I could not put it down and read it in one day. I’m a sucker for a grump and Blake was perfect. He was grumpy, protective, with a sweet side. Everly is a single mom and her young son, Sampson, is a huge part of the story. Blake’s relationship with Sampson had me swooning. He takes care of the people he loves and he is impossible not to love.

Blake has the possessive trait that Aurora Rose Reynolds’ male characters are known for, but I loved the way it was subtle. It was something his friends were aware of and he was not. There was a dose of insta-attraction, but the relationship developed over time. I liked that it wasn’t insta-love but it wasn’t slow-burn. It was somewhere in the middle. In my opinion this created a perfect blend of romance.

If you love grumpy-sunshine, small-town, workplace, and single parent romance books this light hearted, sweet, swoony read is one you may enjoy.

Adventures In Love captures everything that makes Aurora Rose Reynolds- romantic spark, small town, fast-falling characters, and low angst dreamy charm. Aurora’s characters always capture my heart, and I’m loving the whole Adventure crew.

Risky plays on the grumpy heroine angle that ARR so deftly crafts with our hero Blake. Yet again, we’re visiting Live Life Adventures, as heroine Everly is a new office manager to owner Blake- and that ARR spark hits fast, and grumpy but endearing Blake goes all alpha, but like a sweet, diet version. Everly has moved home with her young son, restarting her life as a single mother.

Chemistry wise, this one felt a bit more on the instalove side. Blake was a bit of a jerk in Rushed, so I enjoyed getting to see more nuances to him and just what makes him the grumpy creature he is- and he ends up being quite endearing. He doesn’t go full caveman alpha jerk like some ARR leading mean- he’s on the softer end of the alpha spectrum- but he’s still got all the growly edge we love in a ARR leading man. And Everly is a classic ARR heroine- likable, hardworking, and resilient. We also get the treat of seeing Blake bond with Everly’s son- and that was just adorable watching these three form their own little family unit.

FOr the most part, the plot is pretty low drama and angst- in fact, it feels a bit tranquil, not overly exciting in any places. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it is a quieter story to me compared to the sparks of the first- it was a nice, placid retreat from the world around me.

I’m super excited about more from the series and stories from some of the other characters, including our lingering owner. Hoping we have lots of adventure with that one.
