This was sweet and made me smile. I knew after reading book one, this would be a series I'd love. Everly so deserves a real chance at love after her ex let her down so tremendously, and grumpy Blake is the perfect guy for it. But most of all, I love the instant bond between him and Everly's little boy. That kid is so sweet and innocent, and the one who needed a happy ever after more than anyone.

Risky had some heart tugging moments and I shed a tear at one point, but I also swooned. Blake is an awesome book boyfriend and had like no hesitations once he realized where his feelings were headed. This was a standalone, and could totally be read on it's own. The series is about 3 friends who run an outdoor adventure retreat. And I look forward to book three.

Another sweet Adventure in Love by Aurora Rose Reynolds. Everly needs a fresh new start with her precious little boy. Moving back home is the last thing she wanted to do as an adult but she needs the support of her parents right now. Finding a job in a small town seems daunting but Live Life Adventures seems to be a good fit. Little did she know that she would find everything she's ever longed for here. Blake and Everly's story is not without troubles though but maybe they'll find that they both have the strength to see it through.

Terrific slow-burn romance!

If you read the first book, Rushed, then you remember that Blake was a bit of a grump to the rest of the Live Life Adventures team. In this book, we learn exactly why he's been so messed up as he meets the one gal who can break down his walls without even trying.

Everly's life is needing a hard reset, so she takes her infant son and temporarily moves in with her parents while she looks for a job, and finds one as Live Life's newest office manager. This is a small enough company that there's really no "office romance" drama, but we get plenty of angst with both her past and his family situation. Theirs was a wonderfully sweet, slow journey from coworkers to friends to lovers and I loved every bit of it.

We get to see more of Cybil and Tanner, who I adored, and I really loved the focus on both Everly's and Blake's families. So often characters are given a harsh, tragic childhood as a backstory and it was quite refreshing to see a completely different approach here.

The writing is splendid, the characters are well developed and genuine, and the HEA was everything I was hoping for. I highly recommend this story for anyone looking for a single-mom romance. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

4.25⭐

This is my first story by Aurora Rose Reynolds but it certainly won't be my last. As Risky was a delightful romance full of softness and sweetness as well as characters who are not only really likable, but have an inner strength that genuinely struck a chord with me. And with great pacing and a nicely developed romance as well as a sprinkling of emotion and drama this was a really enjoyable and easy read; and I'm looking forward to reading Maverick's story later in the year.

I would happily recommend.

Risky is such a cute fun read. If you like close knit families, single mom and outdoor adventure then you will love this one. This is the second book in the Adventures in Love series and I am already beyond hooked. I love Everly so much. She is a fantastic single mom who is trying to start over and take care of Sampson in every possible way. Blake is part owner of the Live Life Adventure Lodge and he can be a little grumpy. He has his reasons with a big secret he holds close. He will melt your heart the way he is with Sampson. I love how close they become and how the relationship just blossoms with Everly. There are so many sweet moments you are just going to love. My heart melted so much with this one. I could not put it down. I fell hard for Blake and Everly. I cannot wait for more to come in the Adventures in Love series. You need to one click this one today and fall for Everly, Sampson and Blake now.

This author is one of my faves and seeing her name under the title makes me feel sure, that I'll love the story hidden inside.

Risky was no exception ! I dive into this book faster than the speed of light. Like always Aurora Rose Reynolds knows how to brings amazing love story, mixed with small town romance. I couldn't put this book down. Everly and Blake melted my heart from the begging, Sam stole the whole attention with being one of the sweetest little babies. The way how author created world around this couple captivated me and my bookish world.

I only could fall in love with Everly, Sam and Blake, in a very not risky way. This author is my safe place to be, this series is a little different from insta love she used her readers, but... it's still wonderful adventure and I cannot wait to see what future will bring for other characters in this world.

Must Read Alert.

Risky was such a sweet story. I adored every single moment of it and read it in a single sitting.
Everly and her young son, Sampson, move back into her parents home after she ends things with her ex. She is hired to work in the office of Live Life Adventures. Blake, one of the co-owners of Live Life Adventures, is a little grumpy, but also very caring and sweet. There is an instant attraction between Blake and Everly, however with Everly being a single mom and newly out of a relationship and Blake being her boss she doesn’t really think there can be anything between them other than friendship.
Everly and Blake’s relationship moved quickly, but felt natural and never felt rushed. I love how easily the two of them fit into each others lives. Blake was super sweet and caring when it came to Sampson. I loved the little bond that the two of them quickly formed. There were plenty of sweet moments between them that just warm your heart.
If you’re looking for a single mom, workplace, small town romance this is one to check out.

Blake has some deep seated issues. Everly has been given the best options in her life, until now. These two try hard to stay away from each other. Blake is so sweet the way he cares for Sam and Everly. Sweet story on their way to their HEA.

Rushed was so amazing I didn’t think another book could top it, but Everly & Blake captured my heart while I was reading and they didn’t give it back till I’d finished their beautiful story! This book deserved all the stars because it was so great, & we ended up getting the grump Blake she’d his rough exterior as he falls in loved with Everly.

Aurora Rose Reynolds really made me switch up real fast from feeling like Blake just had a chip on his shoulder to being obsessed with him and seeing what he’s really been going through. The story was perfectly paced, and Everly & Blake found each other at a time where they both needed each other the most. Now this does not mean that they did not start off a little rocky, but once we got into the cute stuff & hit the romance it was as an amazing relationship. This story will make you laugh, cry, and give you the feeling you are the one falling in love right along with the characters. I could not recommend a book, series, or author like Aurora Rose & the Adventures in Love series enough.

From the very first chapter I was enthralled with this story, it captured my heart and I needed to know more about the charecters. I needed to know everything from past to future. Aurora Rose Reynolds has definently written a story that is her standard of perfection which her readers love. It is amazing to catch up with the family and friends again and meet new people.

Blake and Everly's story is heartbreakingly beautiful that rips you apart to then put you back together better than you were before. It is fireworks and wonder and alot of beautiful love all tied into one universe ready to explode and create even more beauty.

I can not recommended this author enough, she knows the way into her readers hearts and gives them the right amount of twists, turns and epic love to encapture your mind and keep you wanting more. I hope you love reading it as much as I have. Happy Reading ♡

4 Stars for this cute romance.

I loved Everly and Blake. They are just so sweet together. I loved how Blake just took to Everly's son Sam ... he's a natural nurturer. One minute I would be laughing and the next I would have tears running down my face. The intimate scenes were sizzling. The only negative is that there were no surprises ... the story was predictable. If you are looking for an easy sweet read, then this is the book that will give you all those good feelings. A great addition to the series and I can't wait for Maverick's book next.

Everly took her responsibility as a new mother seriously. When her baby daddy didn't want to have anything to do with her or the baby, she left him and moved back home with her parents to start her life over. When she gets a job at Live Life Adventures, she's not prepared for Blake. Blake is a grump. He walks around with the weight of his family, friends and business on his shoulders and makes no time for a personal life. But when his business partners hire Everly, he is drawn to her and her son, Sam. The chemistry between them is undeniable and their lives will never be the same.

I received an early copy courtesy of Montlake through NetGalley in exchange for a honest reiew.

I absolutely love any story that includes a grumbly alpha hero that goes soft with a baby and Blake fits my craving for such a character to perfection. With a little jealousy in the beginning and a whole lot of protectiveness I fell faster than Everly. But then again, all she was seeing was the grumpy side of his nature as he struggled with his preconceived notions and incorrect assumptions.

While I liked Everly, it was really Sampson that stole the story for me where she was concerned. This author never forgot that he was as much a part of the story as the hero and heroine, which is something that often happens when children are included. I could feel every tiny fist, hear every gurgling laugh, and remembered my own babies’ weight against my chest through Sampson’s character.

This is a fast paced read with very low angst and high steam. While the storyline carries some conflict, I never felt anxious or antsy about how it was going to work out. I loved the secondary characters and the promise of more to come. Overall, this was a great read to just relax and enjoy the romantic process.

Unlike a lot of people, I actually enjoyed Rushed and fell in love with the world that Tanner, Maverick and Blake come from. But this book didn’t have the same feeling. I liked the tropes and I loved the setting of Montana, but something was missing. I know that with these books, low/no-conflict is the way to go and I absolutely appreciate that, but this one just fell short of awesome for me.

When Everly discovers she’s pregnant and her (ex) boyfriend jokes about her getting an abortion, their entire relationship changes. She goes on to have her son and moves back home with her parents to raise him. Being back home also means she needs a job to support her child and the perfect job appears as an admin/manager for the adventure company where Blake, Tanner and Maverick work. Blake, on the other hand, is holding onto secrets on behalf of his father and feeling the weight of it pressing down on him. He’s the gumpiest of the three and doesn’t have time for romance or anything of the sort, but when it comes to his family, he’s got time for anything.

I am a big fan of grump x sunshine, and this one had that in spades. I also love when the grumpy hero is transformed because of an adorable kid and Sampson was truly the most entertaining child ever. I just didn’t really connect with Everly and Blake’s relationship. Most of it is spent with them hanging out together and doing things without actually talking about what they are as a couple or as people. And then there’s the whole calling her ‘babe’ and ‘baby’ before they’ve even established what they are. I don’t mind it if it’s a one-off thing, but Blake calls Everly those terms a lot even before their first kiss.

I feel like all the books in the series are going to be angst and conflict free, but provide you with the warm and fuzzies with attractive leads, great supporting casts and lots of great friendships and fun. If that’s your kind of deal, then this book is definitely perfect for you!

3.5 stars

The second book in the Adventures in Love series, this is a short and sweet read and a fast-moving romance between a single mum finding her feet, and a grumpy-yet-hurting hero.

Blake is part owner of Live Life Adventures with his two best friends. They are all ex-military, and started their company together, taking people on adventure tours through the Montana wilderness. We met Blake in the first book of the series, Rushed, where he came across as being broody and a bit of an a-hole, so I was really looking forward to getting to know him better.

Everly has just moved home to Montana, and after leaving an unhappy relationship, she’s moved back in with her parents with her ten-month old son, Sam. She’s starting over, and her new job at Live Life Adventures is just what she needs to get her on her feet again. Though she’s struggling with a very inconvenient crush on one of her bosses.

Blake is indeed grumpy, but he’s living with a heartbreaking secret, and he’s struggling to deal with it. Meeting Everly takes him by complete surprise but she very quickly gets under his skin, and she and her son bring a spark to his life that he cannot stay away from.

Blake is one of those alphas who just dives on in and becomes a part of the heroine’s life, calling her “babe”, stepping in to help wherever possible, caring for little Sam, and dropping little moments of affection (hand brushes, soft kisses, etc.). It works for him and all of his gruffness, and Everly is happy to get swept away in it all, and I enjoyed watching these two fall easily and naturally into a relationship. They are open and honest with each other, they are so sweet together, and of course there’s sexy time and feels that come along with that.

“The good thing about all your sharp edges is that when you let someone past them, they are safe, maybe safer than they were before … You’ve become my safe place.”

It's a short read and the story moves pretty quickly, which doesn’t really allow a lot of time for the romance to develop, but it doesn’t really matter because neither Blake nor Everly mess around, and they’re all in from the beginning, which Reynolds makes work, and I loved watching them come together.

"There are no words for the way you feel when you are truly loved by someone, and that’s what makes falling in love so risky. I just know now that it’s a risk worth taking over and over until you find the person who is meant to be yours."

We get to see the Tanner and Cybil from the previous book, and I loved watching the continuation of their story, and there’s something going on with the third team member, Maverick, and I can’t wait for his story to find out what’s going on with him.

It’s another enjoyable read from Aurora Rose Reynolds. Sweet and easy with a really nice romance.

3.5 stars.

I love Blake and Everly. Everly and her son moved back in with her parents after trying for months with her ex for the sake of her son Sampson. Finally seeing that her ex doesn’t want anything to do with their son she moves on. She gets a job at the lodge. And meets Blake. Who is nothing but grumpy one minute then compassionate and caring the next. But the more time that she spends with him, and how good he is with Samson she’s can’t help but fall for him. And Blake can’t stay away from Everly or her son. This was a sweet story with very little drama.

The second story in the Adventures in Love series and like all her other stories, these are better read in order, but thankfully it's just the one book to catch up with. I fell in love with these characters in the first story, Rushed, so I was really excited to see that Blake was up next with his broody self. This story was full of drama, a heart-breaking moment or two, really steamy naughty bits, and a few laughs. I really enjoyed reading Blake and Everly's story, I can't wait to get my hands on the next installment. I give this 5 stars.

A story full of sugar ❤

"Risky" is the second book of the Adventures in Love Series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. You can read the book without reading the first book.
Evelyn und Blakes story is full of sugar! I really enjoyed the story. I love Auroras writingstyle. Evertime I read a book by her and she make me feel at home.

Everly is a single mom who needs a new start with her little son Sampson. She does her best and always tries to be positive and optimistic, which I find really great, because she is always very passionate about it. Everly is a really great woman and I like her a lot.

Blake. What shall I say? He owns Live Life Adventures where Everly works as manager and is one of her bosses. He is really a grumpy one and he makes a very unapproachable impression at the beginning. But everytime when Blake is with Sampson my heart is melting! They are so adorabel together! And Everly and him are so great together! I'm a little jealous of Everly to be honest 🤭

"Risky" is a feel-good story that thrives on the sweet cottoncandy moments and I love the story so much! The sidecharackters was also lovely and I like them all very much. Nevertheless, I would have liked a little bit more conflict moments.

I really love Everly and Blakes lovestory and in highly recommondate it! From me it gets 4,5/5 stars.

"Risky" will be published next month on 24th May.

Risky by A.R. Reynolds, published by Montlake is the second book in Adventures in Love. A series of interconnected stand-alones.
The previous book is Rushed, Cybil and Tanner's story.
This is Everly and Blake's story. Everly is a single mom, just moved back home and she needs to start over. New job, new life. But the past doesn't let her alone, sadly.
Blake is part owner of a wilderness camp and together with Maverick and Tanner he's Everly's new boss. He's rather grumpy - with reason. But Everly's sweetness goes behind his walls.
A beautiful story with just the right pace, the right amount of danger and drama, the right amount of romance, a beautiful and well deserved hea, 5 stars.

This was my first Aurora Rose Reynolds’ romance read and I could not have chosen a better book to start with! 𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗞𝗬 is book 2 of her 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 series and is a single mom, small town romance read.

Blake is a big, sexy, lumberjack of a man and as grumpy as he was (and he had reason to be), I loved him. The way he opened his heart (and those big burly arms) for Everly and Sampson, was everything. There was no hesitation, zero fear, he embraced his feelings for them and went after what he wanted-them-forever. It was hot. Everly was down but not out, forced to rethink her life’s choices, she carved out a new life for herself and her son. She was strong and determined and wasn’t afraid to take chances and move on.

Together, Blake, Everly and Sam stole my heart. I enjoyed reading their story and loved their happily ever after. I’m giving 𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗞𝗬 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

Oh my goodness, what a sweet, romantic read! And now I have to read the first book in this series because I have to find out how Tanner and Cybil got together! This is definitely a standalone and I had no problem with the content even though I didn’t read the first book. But I want to read the first book! Risky is Book #2 in the Adventures in Love series by Aurora Rose Reynolds and it’s a bittersweet romance with all the feels. I loved these characters, most especially little Sampson – he’s adorable! But I got a kick out of Mr. Grumpy’s (Blake) moods. Everly is his perfect counterpart and their slow burn relationship was so sweet and enjoyable. My favorite trait about Blake was his belief in family and taking care of that family and everyone around him. Lots of smiles and happy tears reading this one! I'm grateful for the opportunity to have read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
