Meh...

Up until 50% I was very entertained... but from then on, the story became drawn-out and repetitive. And sadly, I really struggled to finish it.

Hopefully, others will enjoy it more than I did.

This was a fun, quick read! I loved the third person POV. I don't find that a lot in romance books so it was really refreshing. I loved watching the relationship between the two main characters grow over time. It had the perfect amount of smut, story, and character growth which sometimes seems hard to accomplish based on the smutty books I've read! This book was just what I needed to get through a reading slump. I wanted something meaningful but it also needed to be a spicy, quick read and this fit the bill!
This is a 4-star read for me. I didn't give it 5 stars because for some reason it doesn't feel like it will be incredibly memorable, and I save my 5 star ratings for books I can't stop thinking about weeks after finishing them. Also, I tend to prefer enemies to lovers, so with this being friends to lovers it didn't hit me quite as hard, but that's just my personal preference!
I would definitely read more books by this author. The dialogue was natural and believable, and the story was the perfect mix of all the elements I enjoy, as I wrote above. If you're looking for a friends to lovers romance with all the spice and a good back story, this is for you!

An enjoyable read with lots of heat and passion backed with a suspenseful story. Great beach book for the summer.

Think of this as a 50 Shades with much more depth. This book is different than your typical Kelly Moran romance but she knocks it out of the park here and shows her versatility.

This book is spicy but also touches on the issues of trust, overcoming your past and going from friends to lovers. This book starts off mostly steamy but then evolves into so much more. There is suspense and character development is spot on. I highly recommend this one as a great beach read. It's fast paced and as steamy as the summer weather.

Really loved this book, it's exciting and sexy but the characters are really believable and you find yourself willing them to get their HEA.
The suspense and drama behind the love story adds to the context of the book and you find yourself unable to put it down.

Highly recommended.

A well written fast moving novel full of intrigue drama and steamy romance all rolled into one.

Nothing is really what it seems and just s when you think you have grasped it all there is another twist.

I liked this book, but I didn't love it. This book was very steamy and I loved the connection and friendship between the main characters and thought the characters were a good match. The major flaw I had with this book is that the second half didn't flow as well as the first half and felt a little rushed. Overall though this was a good book and a quick steamy read.

Noah and Raven have been friends for a decade. Noah has always been attracted to her but he has never said anything. Until now.
He proposed to Raven a sexual relationship between them. But both their pasts are complicated and that will affect them.
I liked this book. I found Raven's attitude a little bit tiring sometimes but overall it was OK. A lot of steamy scenes.

This novel had me hooked from the very beginning. Chapter two had me going "whoa" and sneaking hints down the page to see what happened next all the way to the very last page. At the beginning we meet Raven, an art enthusiast who has quite literally built her own gallery from the ground up. We are also introduced to her assistant, Nicole, who is very outgoing, fun-loving, and easy to love as a reader. A little ways into the book we meet Noah, Raven's best friend and adventure extraordinaire. Oh, and did I mention he's crazy rich?

What we learn about these characters is Raven has been receiving handwritten letters on her birthday and other major life events from a secret and spicy admirer. Each note is short and sweet painting visions of how she is desired by this mysterious man. On her birthday she receives another letter hand delivered by the agent of Hoan Dewell, one of the most prolific photographers, and it leaves her shocked, intrigued, and wanting more. Raven is supposed to meet with Hoan to discuss a showing for her work at her gallery, and now that she knows he is her secret admirer she realizes it's a date and not a business arrangement. Noah, on the other hand, thinks Raven should skip the dinner, and forget about Hoan.

Much to my surprise, because I didn't read the synopsis, Hoan turns out to be Noah Cadwell. This shocking news sends Raven into a twister of emotions. Noah proposes they start a explicitly physical relationship for one month, and then go back to being just friends.

And we all know how a story like that turns out. Yes, the two start to develop feelings for each other. No, the relationship does not stop after a month. And yes, hopeless romantics can not help but fall in love with the two.

This novel has a beautifully developed plot. It engages the reader, strips down the characters to their very base, and makes us feel as if we truly know and understand them as intimately as they do each other.

Kelly Moran brings to life two people who were not meant to know love. Raven feels as if she is damaged and broken, and Noah has had his whole life stripped away from him. Together they find that it's okay to lean on one another in times of need.

Not only does Moran display her powerful talent in romance, but she creates action-packed scenes when we learn alongside Raven the truth behind Noah's fears. His family was murdered, and he has been on the defensive his entire life to protect himself and those he cares about from the hitmen hired to erase him from existence.

This book is receiving 5 stars from me because I never once grew bored with the plot. There was always something to keep me reading. I also found myself melting, cringing, smirking and fearful alongside the characters. The storyline consists of a lot of different branches, and most intertwine, but at the end I did not feel as if I was missing something. Each branch had met its end, and there was no let down or feeling of incompleteness.

Kelly Moran did a fantastic job with her novel. She had every bit of action, spice, and friendship needed to create a beautifully written piece.

A little backstory:
Noah and Raven have been best friends for 10 years. Raven is spun for a loop when Noah gives her a propasal of spending a month together, no strings attached, just pure raw, sexual, animal hunger! At first, she relents as she doesn't want to jeopardize their friendship. The more she relents, the more she desires him. Finally Raven agrees and the hot and steamy sex begins. Little does she know, Noah may be the missing link in her life.

As the days pass, Noah's past comes to light and throws Raven into another loop of what the heck is going on! After all Noah has lost and could lose he does everything he can to keep the one person he truly loves safe.

Thoughts:
A great erotic novel that had me wanting to know more about Noah's past but also Raven's.
Noah's past is the basis for the novel, while Raven's felt like an afterthought.

All in all a great read that had me swiping the pages.

Raven and Noah's story is beautiful! This book is an amazing mix of romance mystery and thrilling action that just works so well. It's not often you read a book that intrigues you from cover to back but this was Def one of them. A lot of people will be able to relate to both characters Raven being a woman who needs control and doesn't like to relinquish it. She doesn't trust easily because of her past and a horrific experience.

This is a great quick read with awesome spicy moments and a bit o mystery. Noah has a past and he's been hiding it from his best friend who he's been in love with. Raven doesn't trust easily, she is attempting to secure the most exclusive photographer for her gallery

I loved the sex in this book it was especially spicy. I loved the relationship between Noah and Raven, the journey of them figuring out their feeling for each other was great to read about.

Raven's backstory was a little rushed and vague. Noah's whole backstory was written out and stated but Raven's needed a bit more work.

I’d never read anything by Kelly Moran before, but this premise intrigued me. I like romance with “more,” and in this case, “more” is covered by the mystery and thrill of the characters’ backstories and what threatens them and their happiness. Both Raven and Noah are believable characters with relatable quirks and flaws, and I appreciated their interactions. If you’re looking for a hot read, go ahead and pick this one up.

I wanted so badly to love this. Kelly Moran is such an amazing author, and I have loved everything else I have read by her. Her talent to breath life into characters and weave the most tactile worlds together has brought me to tears, of happiness, sadness, and laughter.

This was a departure from everything else I have read, though her mark is still very much there. This is more erotic, and really shines a light on lust and kink. From just pages in, the lust between Noah and Raven is palpable. Unfortunately, it never really ventures past just a lot of fcking, much as the words try to fill in more emotion. Almost every single interaction between these two is highly erotic, escalating more and more as the story continues.

These are darker characters, with more visceral desires, than usual. Raven has some hangups with sex, and Noah is pretty alpha. The histories don't feel very fleshed out, though, and her hangup is moved passed almost too quickly.

If erotic and a bit of suspense is your thing, especially if you like reading moderate kink/anal play, this would be an excellent read, I think. I like a good amount of heat, but really need more emotion and romance (which Kelly Moran is otherwise stellar at!!).

For me, personally, this was a 3 star read. I just never really could care about the characters, and it took me much longer than usual to finish. That said, it was easily 4 star erotica!

WoW! WoW! WoW! What an absolute mind spinning, beautiful story this was! when i read a book i like a book to keep me gripped from the beginning and this book certainly does that. Hot and steamy too!

Noah has spent the last 10 years waiting for a chance to tell his best friend Raven that he wants her and now is his chance. They both fall hard for each other but will someone try to destroy their new love or can Noah keep them save? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and emotion. Great characters with plenty of depth and amazing chemistry. I liked it.

This was a sooo much better than I thought it was going to be and I was skeptical about what this book was going to be like (raunchy or more romantic). It is actually a decent blend of these two pre-conceived notions and for once I actually really enjoyed the back story of Noah. This book is definitely hot, steamy and readable.

Recommended if you like romance/erotic books that are raunchy and steamy. Better than I th0ught it was going to be given that I have not read anything by this author before and was pleasantly surprised. The plot and characterization were great and held my interest too.

I really like this author writing style so descriptive and accurate and even if this is the first time Kelly Moran attempted to write Erotica she executed it well as usual.

I went into this book blindly but I really enjoyed it. Friends to Lovers story with a good amount of hot sex and a dash of suspense.

Noah and Raven live such lonely lives thanks to their past that don't let them to trust no one until they choose to start a whole new relationship as sex partners that will push their boundaries to the point of break them or give them a happy ending.

A quick, easy and steamy read that is packed full of suspense, mystery and drama. I really enjoyed it.
