I received a copy of this manga through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I had no idea what Rakugo was and at first this manga did not feel like totally my cup of tea but it grew on me over the course of the story. The characters were cute, the situations funny and the art cute! I learned a lot about Rakugos and their art of story-telling. Overall a nice educational manga!😊

2/5 Decided to give feedback even though I didn't fully finish it.

I really was not enjoying this and I enjoy most comedy and slice of life type manga. I gave it two stars because I didn't hate this (usual reserve for books with bad themes and such) and the artwork was really pretty. I would consider checking out more from this author but this one would be better suited for those who like tanuki shenanigans.

The tanuki, Mameda falls in love with the rakugo performer master. She wants to learn rakugo with her. And end up living with human beings. It's a story about the tanuki, probably tanuki it's a main character in most Japanese fairy tales. I'm glad there are notes about rakugo and explanations of those Japanese traditional stories.
