Vengeance by A. S Fenichel is a paranormal action-packed romance (Book 5 in The Demon Hunters Series)

Brice Lambert was left in agony after a debilitating injury to his leg. Unable to fight he starts to teach others to hunt demons instead. Never did Brice think that his leg would ever be healed or that he would find the women he didn’t know he had been dreaming of.

Abigail Higginbotham is an extraordinarily powerful witch. Her magic elicits fear and mistrust from the very people who should love her. All Abigail ever wanted was a family, to be accepted. In Brice, all of her dreams came true.

Together, along with their family and friends, they must battle to find the key to lock the gates of hell forcing the demon master from their home.

Reading this book it felt like two stories were fighting to be told in one cover. The story of Abigail Higginbotham and Brice Lambert's love, as they learn to trust each other and begin to create their life together.
As well as the story of a world where the gates of hell have been flung wide open, demons let loose to destroy Earth. The only hope for the world is found in a powerful witch with the power to close the gates and send the demon master back to hell.

I found the romance felt forced and awkward at times. The sex scenes were so impersonal and just not needed. Brice and Abigail’s magical connection could have been beautiful. Instead, it just felt like another story where the lead female needed a man to prop her up.

I truly think if these two plot lines had been given the extra time that they each needed they could both be fabulous stories. Unfortunately, as they are, they just missed the mark for me.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Vengeance is Book 5 in The Demon Hunters series by A.S. Fenichel. This action-packed, bewitching tale was set across England and Scotland.

Brice Lambert was born a gentleman, but he lived as a demon hunter. Abigail Higginbotham is struggling with abandonment issue all her life because she is an anomaly witch that doesn’t belong to a coven. The only way to defeat the demon master is by sealing him inside the gates. Brice and Abigail must work together to find a way to close the gates firsthand. Somewhere, somehow along the way, their attractions and feelings towards each other blossomed into an unlikely romance in their quest.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was steamy, creative and action packed. It held my interest and I didn't want to put it down. This can be read as a standalone story, though it is #5 in the Demon Hunters series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.

I’ve enjoyed this series and I’m so happy we got this final book and I’m glad Brice and Abigail got their story!

Brice Lambert is now teaching others how to be demon hunters after he was injured. Abigail Higginbotham is a powerful witch who joined the demon hunters, and who found a family of sorts with them. Abigail is the one who heard Brice, and it turns out that’s just the start of their story. As they fight against demons, there’s adventure and a growing bond between these characters.

Abigail and Brice are fantastic leads and I’m so happy A.S. Fenichel got a chance to finish up this series with these two characters are their amazing story. This book, and the series as a whole, hits the right notes with a mix of paranormal, adventure, and love. We get to catch up with the characters from previous books too, which I always enjoy. I highly recommend this series, even if paranormal fiction your usual read.

I am happy that Brice and Abigail got their story. Brice has been in love with Abigail, but she doesn't seem interested. She is, but she isn't sure that he would want to be part of her life. She is a witch, and she has been shunned for most of her life because she is a witch. Brice doesn't care about that. He thinks that she is a wonderful, powerful woman. As they battle demons, they get closer, and Abigail stops fighting the attraction. Brice wants it all. Neither of them may live to see tomorrow and so they will take what they can get today. They look for the key and try to defeat the master. They must close the gates soon or all will be lost. Can they do it?

The demon master is out for revenge, and the gates of hell are flung wide. Only the purest love can force him back…
After a debilitating injury left Brice Lambert in agony, he's relegated to teaching others to hunt demons. He knows all the secrets of the demon war and plans to die for the cause. Never did he expect his dreams of a loving wife and big family to come true, but the very witch who healed his leg is capturing his heart.
Abigail Higginbotham's extraordinary power elicits fear and mistrust from the very people who should love her. She has shuffled around and been kept out of family and coven alike. Joining the Company of demon hunters brings her the closest thing to a family she has ever had. Forbidden to love, she’ll face losing everything for the man who has loved her for many lifetimes.
Together, they must find the key to lock the gates of Hell and seal out the demon master forever. Fail, and mankind is doomed. Succeed, and face death in the pit of Hell. A small price to pay for eternal love.
This book is full of demons and magic. By A.S. Fenichel, this is part of a series.
The key to locking the gates of hell is 5 precious children.
Can the children be saved?
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

Vengeance
Demon Hunters #4
A.S.Fenichel
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Once again the demon master seems to be out for revenge, and the portals and gates of hell are flung open. Only the purest of loves can ever force him back...

Brice Lambert was injured very badly in the line of duty being a demon hunter. He has been left in agony and not able to fight in the field anymore so he's decided to teach others how to properly hunt demons. He knows all of the ins and outs including the secrets of the demon war and plans on dying for the cause. Never in a million years would he have guessed that his dreams of a loving wife and big family could come true, but since the very witch who's healing his leg has stolen his heart he begins to belive in life again.

Abigail Higginbotham is an extremely powerful witch who's extraordinary power elicits fear and mistrust from the very witches in covens who should love her. She has been shuffled around and kept out of the family of witches in every way. Joining the company of demon hunters has brought her the closest thing to a family she has ever known. She is forbidden to love, for if she does without special permission she will face losing everything for the man who has loved her for many lifetimes over.

Together, with the other demon hunters and witches, they must find the key to lock the gates of hell and seal out the master forever.

A.s. Fenchiel always knows how to knock a book out of the park. This is a fantastic book that's historical mixed with paranormal. The fourth and last book in a series that I'm so sad to see end. This book made me so happy in a time when I really needed it. What a way to end the year. Abigail was phenomenal. The powers she had were so strong and she was such a good person who was always ready and willing to give her life up for the company, just like Brice . Brice wouldn't be who he is if it wasn't for Abigail healing him and pulling him out of his pain. These two characters had a bond that was unbreakable and due to that bond they became family. If I could ask Ms. Fenichel one thing it would be to please write another rocking paranormal series somewhat like this because I've never read a paranormal novel better then this. If I could give this book hundreds of stars I would, but since that's not possible I will give this book five shiny stars and recommend that everyone who loves history and the paranormal to read this fantastic series.

Vengeance A Paranormal Historical Action-Packed Romance (The Demon Hunters Book 5)
by A.S. Fenichel
This is the final book in the Demon Hunter series and I have enjoyed each one. This is Brice and Abigail's story but we catch up with all our old friends - demon hunters and witches. This book starts with lots of steam and continues with action, terror, mystery, evil, tears, laughter, love and light which get us to our very HEA. There is still a small mystery at the end and I have to say that just for me Mei Lin was very special because if my second child had been a girl, Mei Lin would have been her name - so I smiled every time I read her name.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Unpredictable Easy-to-read Funny Wonderful characters Steamy Page-turner Entertaining Haunting Great word building Tear-jerker Happily Ever After Romantic Action-packed Scary

I love this series! It's got love, adventure and more love. I don't think you need to read the other books in the series to follow this book but why wouldn't you read the other books? They are all terrific and make this book a lot more meaningful. Abigail and Brice are terrific characters and it's wonderful to see them together. :) I finished the book in a day.....

Thanks to the publisher for providing an arc.
