I really enjoy reading Christine Feehan , her Dark Carpathian and Drake sister's , Sea Haven series are all books I love and I've read most of them.
The Torpedo Ink series is a little darker and the subject matter won't be to everyone's taste, it's quite harrowing reading about the paedophilic school the members were brought up in. That being said you can appreciate the characters finding their perfect partner and getting a happy ever after by the end of the book.
I love how the characters interact with eachother. Its an emotional rollercoaster, you can be laughing one minute and want to cry the next.
This is the first book in the series and I have read all of the rest after this one. They are addictive . Recommended

Another fantastic book! Gripping from start to finish. How a book can make such an amazing, raunchy romance against a background of horrific abuse is astounding, but it works. You won't be able to put it down.

Having read other books by the author i was looking forward to diving into this one. It swept me away on the back of a hog . I enjoyed the steamy scenes they fit well with the storyline. The characters of Reaper and Anya were compelling and touching. During the scenes where Reaper opened up i could feel my emotions coming to the fore and tears behind my eyes. The author certainly knows how to make the reader feel a part of her books. It was paced, exciting and a rollercoaster of a book .

Judgement Road is the first in the Torpedo Ink series by Christine Feehan. The series have evolved from her Sea Haven series and takes the reader into the biker gang world. It is the story of Reaper, the Torpedo Ink club enforcer and Anya, the bartender at the club bar. The male protagonist is quite a grey character but as you read the book, you realise why that is the case. I won't get into the detail and provide spoilers but fair to say that there is child abuse and PTSD involved.

I am a big fan of Christine Feehan and generally love her books. However, given the seriousness of the issues included in this book, I wish the author had gone into more detail about the therapeutic options available instead of almost brushing it under the carpet or hiding it within sex scenes. Also, it would have been good to have an appendix with a list of organisations anyone affected by issues covered in this book could contact. I know that this is fiction, but the issues are very real and need to be taken seriously. Usually a Christine Feehan book gets 5 stars from me, but due to the reasons outlined above, I will only give it 3 stars....

I have lost track of how many times I’ve read this book. It’s the first of a series which is my ‘go to’ series when I’m in the mood for a dark MC romance. It follows on from the previous paranormal series ‘sisters of the heart’ and features brief appearances from some of those characters. I will say though that although it’s set in the same Sea Haven area, it is quite different in tone to that series. Be prepared for a gritty, darker romance with angst and some difficult themes which may be triggering for some. The characters are incredibly complex and unique with some psychic/ paranormal abilities. Although technically an MC it’s more about a group of people who have survived an intensely traumatic childhood together and have made their own family of sorts as a result. Anya, the female main character has secrets and has also experienced her own troubled past, yet somehow she and Reaper (the male main character) find a way to overcome their past and find completeness in each other. This book is gripping, compelling and utterly engrossing!!

The Torpedo Ink series follows on from the Author's Sisters of the Heart books and is also set Sea Haven and the surrounds .
The members are all rough and ready , their upbringing only allowing the strong to survive but all are loyal to each other without exception .
Reaper is no different to his fellow 'Ink' members , his emotions now buried and cold ............. Anya wants to keep her job but her past secrets could destroy her and if she gives in to Reaper's advances perhaps destroy him too .
I was slightly disappointed with this book , the repetitious sex scenes ; the imbalance between our bad guy and good woman was too great ......where was his 'heart' ?

I have enjoyed most books the Author writes but have noticed lately that in some books the sex scenes become too repetitious and the story gets lost ......... I hope the Author takes note for future books

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It was the first book I read by Christine Feehan and I'm not sure if I will read the rest of the series.
I found the book a bit disturbing as the male MC is quite bossy and sometimes abusive.
I don't think it's my cup of tea.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

A story of family brought together by horrific circumstances. An unusual family who have made for themselves a very close nit circle to survive. Reaper will have to choose between his family and Anya who has no experience of family. A breathtaking read which keeps you transfixed for the whole story. Your emotions are with such battered characters who show that all people need love and connection.
I was given an arc of this book by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first Christine Feehan book I've read. It was a bit of a cop out since I'm a sucker for MC romance. Even this has a teeny tiny hint of a supernatural element. I really enjoyed the writing. It's so easy to fall into.
