This is the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be the last.

When Grace and Marcus’ seven year old daughter Kaia is injured in a fall, she blames her dad. Marcus is distraught, he would never hurt his daughter and as Kaia’s accusations against her dad intensify, Grace needs to decide who is telling the truth. Does she believe her husband or her daughter?

A great fast paced story with plenty of twists and turns which was an entertaining read.

What a book! A totally different genre to my usual read but so glad I have it a go. I’m going to suggest it to my Book Club for next months read! Well done.

Grace and Marcus have an idyllic marriage. They have a gorgeous little girl named Kaia, age-7. When strange things begin to happen in their life, Grace does not know where to turn for help. Her husband Marcus is acting odd.

Their daughter Kaia is saying some very unsettling things about Marcus and his behavior. Does Grace "really" know her husband? Does Marcus have another side to his personality? Is he capable of doing the horrific acts little Kaia is accusing him of?

"Every Little Secret" by Sarah Clarke is an interesting book. It has some great curve balls the reader will not be expecting. The writing is very strong until the last few chapters which caused me a few short "eye-roll" moments. It became a bit unrealistic and left a few little holes in the plot. Perhaps the author left the ending open for a sequel?

I've never read anything from Clarke in the past, but I'm quite likely to pick up her books in the future! I didn't want to put this book down, as I couldn't wait to see what happened next. The characters are well-developed, realistic, and relatable, and the pace keeps you on the edge of your seat. There are numerous twists to keep the reader engaged and guessing. I look forward to reading more from this author.

After quite enjoying Sarah Clarke’s first novel, I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. Started out slow and I had a hard time keeping up with the story. As a mother, some of it was hard to believe. There were a few good twists.

i enjoyed this story was a good solid read going back and forth in time as the story unfolds. its a compelling thriller that create suspense. There are very few characters and its impossible to know who to trust. an addictive domestic thriller.

I was impressed by Sarah Clarke's debut novel, "A Mother Never Lies", so I made a note to make sure that I came back for her next book. Unfortunately, although there were aspects of "Every Little Secret" that I enjoyed, overall it didn't live up to the promise of the author's previous offering - perhaps a case of "Second Novel Syndrome"?

The writer's first first book was an accomplished family / domestic drama that put me very much in mind of Linda Green's work. The plot of "Every Little Secret" is also very family centric, but on this occasion Sarah Clarke has chosen to place greater emphasis on creating more of a psychological thriller. I enjoyed the early stages of the book. The set-up was good and there were a variety of potential avenues for plot development. I was intrigued to see which path would be taken and how events would unfold.

Sadly, I feel that the promise of these early chapters was squandered. As the story progressed, so I felt increasingly that the whole plotline and narrative deteriorated. The tone was too often melodramatic and developments were overly convenient or even contrived. In any piece of literary fiction the reader needs to grant the author some dramatic licence, but to be effective and maintain authenticity, this needs to remain within certain boundaries - and Sarah Clarke was guilty of crossing the line.

This book could have been reduced to half the size as it was slow and drawn out. It tells of a father who is hurting his daughter and a mother who has split loyalties between the husband and daughter. I was not rushing to find out the end result and who was lying.

Brilliant! An excellent plot, believable characters and a totally unexpected ending. I am a Sarah Clarke fan after reading this book.

After the accusation, Kaia’s behavior seems to worsen while Grace struggles over whether to believe her husband or her daughter. And an even bigger worry – what if someone finds out her secret?
This novel is told from multiple POVs and varying timelines between when Grace and Marcus first met and the present. Grace is the primary voice but it is also told from Marcus, Coco’s, and Kaia’s POV. Grace and Coco were best friends as teenagers and Marcus came into their lives after he befriended Grace’s brother, Josh. While everyone is dealing with this new family dynamic in the present, the narrators also take us back to the beginning, laying the framework for everyone’s relationships now. And honestly, at times, it became very cumbersome. I love the building of suspense, but I feel like so many flashbacks could have been condensed, thus improving the flow and the pace.
Anyhow, regardless of some tedious parts and some character issues, I found this to be an engaging, surprising, and somewhat addictive domestic thriller. I cannot wait to read more from this author in the future!

I enjoyed this book , even though I had guessed what was happening pretty early on it did not affect my enjoyment . Grace is mum to Kaia and married to Marcus , when Kaia falls from a tree everyone believes it to be an accident , why then is she accusing her dad of pushing her . When Kaia makes even more allegations Grace is at her wits end . Surely her husband is not capable of hurting their daughter . We get Grace & Marcus' back story from when they were young and we realise early on that there is a lot more to their family than meets the eye , this was a fast paced and very entertaining story and I would definitely recommend

When 7 year old Kaia falls from a tree on a day out, her mother Grace is beside herself with worry. But that’s nothing compared to the shock she feels when the nurse reveals Kaia has accused her father Marcus of pushing her out of the tree. The only explanation can be Kaia’s concussion has her confused. But as Kaia’s accusations mount and Marcus vehemently denies every one of them, Grace has no idea what to believe or what to do.

Every Little Secret was a harrowing and addictive read with characters that just jumped off the page. A scenario that no parent would ever want to face and confusion over who is and isn’t trustworthy made for intense reading. With chapters flicking back and forth between the past (with Grace and Marcus as teenagers) and the present, with multiple points of view, the twists kept coming, everytime I was sure I knew what was going on!

With plenty of drama and family secrets, this was a fast paced read that had me in that “just one more chapter” loop until I’d finished it 😄 I don’t think I breathed for the entire last few chapters of the book, Every Little Secret is a ride!

Wow! I loved it! Because if the plot topic, it's one of those subjects which just gets under your skin and leaves you with a very uneasy feeling until you get to the bottom of things. The characters are so well written and well developed that it's impossible not to relate and to suspect everyone's motives. It's very jumpy with the various perspectives and flitting through the time line so you do need to keep track and not try to read this one whilst you're multitasking but once you start, I doubt you'll want to divert your attention anywhere else anyways until you get to the end. A really good read!!

After reading the first book by this author A Mother Never Lies which literally blew me away, I could not wait to get stuck in to this authors latest work. OMG WHAT A READ!!!!!
The Winsor family have a lot of secrets, but like all secrets they eventually are revealed. I could not put this book down I HAD TO KNOW THE TRUTH!!!. Packed with tension and suspense, emotional, heartbraking and chilling. Full of shocks and surprises and an ending that left me speechless. This author has done it again and is definitely one to watch. Loved it!!!!

Marcus’ character development combined with the unreliable narration built a great deal of suspense and excitement into the story but I feel like more could have been with done with Grace. Or perhaps that was the point? When they are teenagers and Marcus has a crush on Coco, Grace always seems to be a blurry background image, almost like an afterthought. In adulthood, she still wasn’t a strong character, so maybe it was intentional. On the other hand, I felt that Coco was overdone, especially when I saw absolutely zero admirable or redeemable qualities in her character. Even worse, I had no sympathy for her situation. I tried, but, just no.

Anyhow, regardless of some tedious parts and some character issues, I found this to be an engaging, surprising, and somewhat addictive domestic thriller. I cannot wait to read more from this author in the future!

I absolutely loved Every Little Secret! It was fast-paced, gripping with lots of twists and surprises. The story is told through three main POVs, each occurring during a different, but significant, time in the lives of the characters. The author did a great job with the time jumps and the alternating POVs (both techniques definitely added to the overall story). I, like Grace (one of the main characters), had no idea who to believe; I always think it's a sign of a good book when the reader is feeling the same frustrations and emotions as the characters. I read Every Little Secret in one sitting; I just couldn't put it down - definitely 5 stars!

I really enjoyed Sarah's first book but this was even better, the story just flowed so well with well developed characters and the book held my interest from the first page until the last and I found it very hard to put down.

I can definitely recommend this book, a very worthy five star read from me and thank you to Netgalley and HQ Digital for allowing me to read this brilliant book.

A great plot to this one and was a fast paced one, it really kept the story flowing well and kept me engaged from page one. I found nothing that was draggy or slow with the story. There were also some pretty unexpected events that took shape in this one.
I loved the action and excitement that came along with this one.
I think the climax was very well done and had me on the edge of my seat.
