I really loved Sarah's first book and was excited to read this one. I wasn't disappointed at all. I really found myself drawn into the story. There were several times when I thought I'd worked out the twist - but I hadn't. Sarah again works with themes of mother/child love and forces the reader to ask themselves some uncomfortable questions. In this case it was who would you believe - your child or your spouse? It's a simple concept but Sarah explored it beautifully - with lots of twists along the way. Really well done - can't wait to see what's next.

I couldn't put this book down, as I wanted to find out what happened and who Coco's mystery lover was. The story was told well, with lots of diversions so you could never be sure who was telling the truth, or what was happening. The characters strengths and weaknesses were explored throughout the book so you couldn't be sure who was capable of what.
This all builds up to an exciting conclusion. Recommended.

This was a slow, long and drawn out read and left me wondering where the thriller was. Many situations were incredibly far fetched and unbelievable. The book did tackle some difficult issues and has to be praised for that but I feel it would have been a better story had those issues been more forefront of the book and discussed more. The twist really wasn’t a twist for me as I saw it coming. Others may enjoy this book but it was too slow for me.

But at times, there were the WHAT moments A bit far-fetched, but all in all a good read. POV from 3 or 4 people with different dates just became difficult to my mind at times.

Every Little Secret is the first novel I've read by author Sarah Clarke. A thrilling read that keeps you guessing until the end. Unreliable narrators that makes you wonder who is telling the truth.

Mom, dad, and a seven year old girl. In front of everyone else, they seem to be the perfect family. One day, the little girl fell two meters from a tree. At the hospital, the little girl made a terrifying accusation that the dad pushed her. The doctor attributes it to confusion caused by the concussion from the fall. There's a tiny voice in the mom's head saying this is ridiculous and that her husband would not hurt his daughter. Why then does the mom feel guilty about defending her husband when talking to the doctor?

Told in past and present fashion from Grace in 2019, Marcus in 2005, and third person point of view. There were chapters in the book that dragged for a bit especially the part where Marcus is telling his story in the past to make sense of the present. Not a big fan of this format in story telling as it is hard to switch from first person to third person storytelling. I don't mind several different characters but told all in first person.

I enjoyed the book in general.

From the outside looking in Grace & Marcus are a strong couple and a lovely family with daughter Kaia,… however all families have secrets… a daughter claiming her father is hurting her and a father who denies these claims, who is telling the truth? As a mother & a wife where should Graces loyalties lie?

I can’t say I was enthralled by this book, I was able to put it down easily & it didn’t play on my mind as a good books can do, however I did find myself turning the pages quicker in the last few chapters as the story starts to unravel & get interesting,

I believe this is the second book by Sarah Clarke.

Tread Carefully…
Minefields galore in this tense, gripping domestic noir. Tread carefully as this seemingly perfect family existence may not exactly be as it seems from the outside. With a carefully crafted cast of characters, a cleverly constructed narrative and a barrage of twists and turns this is an often disturbing but compelling read.

I couldn’t wait to get started on my ARC of *Every Little Secret* by Sarah Clarke, which I received from NetGallery. Having already read Sarah’s first novel *A Mother Never lies* I was excited to explore this authors work again.

The cover of this novel would in itself have initially attracted me to want to read. It illustrates a large dark front door at night with a child’s pair of red shoes discarded outside, and this combined with the very apt title *Every Little Secret* really induces to reader to open it up and explore the page turning cascade of explosive secrets held within.

Grace & Marcus appear on the outside to be your average solid couple. Married for several years with a daughter Kaia, this family seem to have life sorted. However, this family holds many many secrets, from the truth about Kaia’s conception and birth to Graces missing best friend Coco.

The secrets that have been held close for many years are slowly exposed to the reader through time-lapse chapters, flitting back and forth through the years and the eyes of the main characters. These secrets start to become unearthed as Kaia sets a series of serious allegations of abuse in motion.

Who can be trusted? Can anyone be trusted? Do we ever really know the people closest to us? Can Grace find her missing best friend and finally get the answers or will those closest to her be the ones to deliver the ultimate betrayal and break her family apart?

*Every Little Secret* is the ultimate addictive read and extremely unputdownable !!!!

My goodness me. Has Clarke done it again? I think she has. I loved her debut and this one might have captivated me even more. Her style of writing flows so well, and keeps you turning the pages. And I love how the characters are full formed and become more so as the story unravels. I can't wait to see what Clarke has in store for us next! I'm most definitely a loyal fan.

Seven-year old Kaia has accused her father of hurting her. Marcus, her father and former footballer, adamantly denies the accusations. So, who should mom Grace believe? Grace's mother supports Marcus while Grace's brother supports Kaia. Grace really needs her former best friend Coco but she disappeared years ago.

As Grace tries to navigate this minefield, past secrets start to reveal themselves threatening to expose her biggest secret of all. And it's a big one. Trust me. I won't give anything away here, but you have to read this book. Everyone has a secret or two.

I was captivated from the beginning and finished the book in one long sitting because I couldn't put it down. I got nothing else accomplished but I was rewarded by the book's finale.

I loved this one. Very fast paced, had me turning pages as I tore through it – I had to see how it would end. The characters were well rounded and the narrative felt believable. Gave me chills. Solid five

I could not put this book down and read it in two days! The characters are relatable and the jump from present day to past and different character perspectives is excellent. Full of twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful, it’s a must read!

I read this book in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down, what a rollercoaster, secrets always come out in the end, what I liked in this book was that their was just a few characters in it so it was easy to keep up but what a book..

I really enjoyed this one. It’s fast paced and had plenty of twists and turns to keep me guessing throughout.

This book was a hard one for me and it’s hard for me to review. I enjoyed a lot of aspects of the book. All the grey areas. The what would you do in that situation. However, a lot of parts dragged for me and I just wanted to scream that you always believe the child. The end twist was a good one but I feel like it could have gotten there sooner.

Another good read by Sarah Clarke. I received this arc through net galley and couldn’t wait to get started on it.

I loved this book as we go back and forward in time to find out the story of grace, her brother Josh and their friends from 2005 to the present day.

There are a few bumps in the road along the way and I thought I had worked out the twist but I was wrong.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was gripping and so enaging all the way through, my heart was in my mouth the entire time. It was tebse, suspenseful, atmospheric and unpredictable. I couldnt put it down.
