I really wanted to like this book as it had an appealing cover and an interesting description. However, I found the characters slightly annoying and the first half of the book was an extremely slow burn. The last chunk was better but still not my favorite. thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the publisher for a copy of this book

#FollowMe for Murder follows Coco, a social media guru, her friends and her lover on an adventure that results in the uncoverings of a small town's secrets.

This story was OK, like others before me said it started slow and there was too much description that it began to take away from the overall, story. Some of the characters were too annoying for me but they did get better as it went on especially as the murder investigation started to ramp up. What was hard for me was I felt this book was geared to a younger audience and in my 30s I couldn't connect with parts especially the referenced youngerish slang that made me question if I could finish this book, I enjoyed the light-heartedness this story provided, but it felt like something was missing but I can't out my finger on what it is.

Overall it was just ok for me and the rating is between 2.5-3 stars. Others might really enjoy this story. It just didn't hit the mark for me.

If you're into mystery and murder then this is the book for you. It started off a bit slow but it picked up the pace and ended up being a quick, entertaining read. I really liked all the sleuthing going on even if some of the characters annoyed me.

A face paced cosy mystery.

Our main character (and amateur sleuth) Coco is an influencer and celebrity blogger. She was part of a start up company that sold for millions and she decided to started her own social media consulting firm in her hometown of Central Shores. Her new clients, Sean and Olivia Chen, are ten days away from the grand opening of their specialty consignment shop when Coco stumbles across their store clerk Stacy dead behind the register. Worried about what this will do to the Chen's business before they even start Coco and her friends do some investigating of their own to find out the culprit.

I really enjoyed this cosy mystery. I found it fast paced and it kept me intrigued. Coco and her friends made great amateur sleuths. I can't wait for the author to write more books in the series!

I could not get through this. It was alittle to young for me. The writing was not my style to read.
It might work for other people just not me.

This book was entertaining and a solid cozy mystery.. It was a little wordy and descriptive though at times. The beginning is very slow with all the character set up and background information. I felt it was a bit much too much at times. Once the case begins, things begin flowing a little better. If I wasn't reading this for a review, I probably would have stopped it and not finished. It just took a little too long to hook my attention.

Honest opinion coming at you! This book truly reminded me of Nancy Drew which isn’t a bad thing. It started a bit slow for me and was very obvious within 15% of the book but needless to say I enjoyed it and the characters were likeable.

This book was okay, neither bad nor good. I enjoyed it, it was a face read for me and it entertained so 3 stars.

Overall, I found this book to be a fun and relatively light mystery. I loved the chosen professions for all of the main characters. Part of me felt like it was a little overkill on hitting the nail on the head, but a much larger part of me found it to be a perfect mix. I also appreciated that I didn’t figure out the full reveal as I was reading. The author did a great job of truly putting us in the main character’s shoes throughout the book. I only wish that one side story had ended differently…

#FollowMe for Murder was a cute, cozy mystery with instantly likeable characters. It started off a little slow as the setting and characters were being built. Once Coco was on the case trying to solve the murder, the story was very fast paced and I couldn't put it down. Looking forward to reading more in this series!!

Cute mystery read, but like others before me have said, the book was so descriptive, it took away from the enjoyment of the plot and scenes. The first few pages of the book were telling of the characters whole back story, which readers should gradually find out, not all at once. Might have been more productive for a film introduction, but it was too much for a book.

The author has created a modern cozy mystery that combines the tech of Dick Tracy and the fashion sense of Glamour Magazine as she begins a new series of books featuring blogger and PR consultant Cordelia (aka Coco) Cline.

Cordelia’s current clients are Sean and Olivia Chen, owners of the soon to open Once Used, Twice Buy antique store. One morning Coco walks in and finds Stacy Lockner, a young woman hired to help set up the store, lying on the store floor, dead. The police originally set out to prove that Sean and Olivia are responsible for her death. Coco makes it her job to find the real killer and to salvage the reputation of the soon to be opened store. Cordelia takes a liking to Stacy and doubles down to find her killer.

The result is a story with enough turns and suspects to hold the reader’s attention from beginning to end. Coco and her friend feed bits of evidence to the local police and the county crime lab - some evidence sends the cops chasing the wrong suspects, but the clues that are discovered will eventually disclose the person responsible for the crime. I found little wrong with this title and easily give it five stars.

This book was a ton a fun and a refreshing take on the cozy with a tech savvy main character who is a internet famous blogger and a social media maven. She gets wrapped up with in a murder mystery with her new clients and with the help of her incredible group of friends who are all dynamic characters in their own right, they investigate and solve this mysterious case. This book is the perfect mix of Nancy Drew and Instagram and a fun and enjoyable read.

Coco Cline has quite the following and now thanks to her successful social media consulting company she is helping guide others onto their own paths to success. Her newest clients are less than two weeks from the grand opening launch of their business when Coco discovers the shop's clerk Stacy murdered. Determined to not let the inexperienced small town police keep her clients from their launch Coco uses her connections both online and around town to help figure out what really happened to Stacy when all signs point to her not being who she appeared to be. If you can dig through the superficial commentary (and there is a lot of it) underneath was a decent whodunit crime story. "#FollowMe for Murder" has the potential to be a fun, beachy read as long as you can get past the main character's personality. I was intrigued by the cover of this book and the description. Social Media manager murder mystery, cool. I really wanted to love it with how relatable it seemed. However, I just couldn't get into it. I found myself pushing this book farther and farther down my current reads list and picked up several others before this one. I think I had such a hard time getting into this one because its almost "too descriptive". Several pages were spent in her thoughts, in her routine, and after a while, it felt repetitive. I'm all for descriptive characters so that as a reader its much easier to get to know them, but the way the main character was written dragged on. Several pages of this delayed the plot and I couldn't keep going. I think a lot of the description could be shortened, or even cut out all together, to make for a fast paced, entertaining, cozy mystery.

Sarah Burr’s #FollowMe for Murder is an accomplished, witty, and perfectly delightful mystery. The narrative unfolds with clear, precise details, and the heroine, Coco Cline, is indeed, someone we’d all want to follow. The novel respects the conventions of small-town, amateur-sleuth investigations but doesn’t slavishly cleave to them. This cozy mystery, with confidence and charm, brings the genre into where we live now. Coco’s relationships, with her peers, her clients, and with her own sudden fame, are all rendered with a sure hand. The mystery takes some unexpected turns, and the ending may surprise, but that’s all part of the fun. Highly recommend.

This is such a good book. As someone who loves crime shows and books, this was so good and not gruesome. It allows you to imagine things without being grossed out. This book does a really good job keeping you on your toes. As someone who usually guesses the who dunnit, I did not guess this one. This book also did a really good job talking about deeper topics such as infertility. I loved how all the characters, even side characters were 3 dimensional. Even though it is a first person POV, you see things from the other characters perspectives a good amount. I would recommend this book to people who want a crime book that is light and cute. It isn't dark despite being about murder.

#FolllowMe for Murder is a lighthearted mystery that shows how innovative millennials are and how big of an influence they exert on the world. This is a fast read, and the characters are likable, albeit predictable. Unfortunately, I would not see myself reading this book again. Overall, it was just an okay read and not very memorable.

Unfortunately #FollowMe for Murder did not hit the mark for me. I had high hopes for this book, I felt like the premise of the book would be entertaining and fun but I found it to be quite slow for the first 1/3-1/2 of the book and had a very hard time staying interested. The main characters inner dialogue/narrative seemed to drag on and become mundane. I generally appreciate when there is a lot of detail so that I can get a full picture of characters and setting but I felt like there was too much detail being described which caused the actual story telling to be delayed. I think if the story would have been faster paced it would have been very entertaining, it just did not hold my interest in the way it was written. .

This fun mystery is perfect for a day at the beach or to cozy up with on the couch. Coco’s well-written and endearing character pulls you in to the story quickly and keep you coming back for more. I really enjoyed reading this book .
