I've read books that are a riff on the Bachelor-esque type drama, and have watched the shows. This didn't disappoint. I do think some of the "bad guys" fell a little bit flat, and wasn't surprised when someone we were supposed to like made some bad decisions.

Overall, Bexley and Grayson were cute and I'd read this again in a heartbeat!

⭐ Review: I literally DEVOURED this book. I was torn between going through it in one go and stopping every once in a while so I wouldn't finish it so quickly. The writing is amazing, the premise already sucks you in and it feels like there's so much happening that you just have to continue reading. It's such a light, fun & easy read that I sometimes forgot I was reading.

As someone who's a huge fan of reality TV shows like Are you the one, Love Island & Ex on the Beach, I feel like all the events that happened in the book are actually feasible and can actually happen behind the scenes in reality TV shows so the imagery in this book is definitely something I could praise for hours on end.

There's a gaggle of characters (as expected, since we already have the MANY contestants, plus you gotta bring in the crew mentioned, as well as family members, Grayson's friends, etc.) and literally almost every single one of them is multi-dimensional, and the author shows you so much of their personality, but still leaves enough for you to want more. I love how there's different thought processes there, from Grayson who's The Suitor who was actually a contestant in a previous season to the producers.

I absolutely ADORE the fact that this book gives you a glimpse of what actually happens behind the curtain, so to speak. What you see on the TV isn't even remotely close to what actually happens. The producers can alter it any way that they want, take whatever parts of real life they have from the footage and edit it to their liking, to tell a storyline of their choosing. They can depict the contestants however they want, they can nudge them in the direction that they want, not every conversation is genuine, and not every conversation will be shown in its entirety and the book really talks about it, which is something I deeply appreciate. It gives a certain perspective that I feel like plenty of people would find refreshing.

However, what I didn't particularly like about this book and the reasons I didn't immediately give this a 5 star rating are:
- Bexley sometimes comes off as that "I'm not like other girls" trope that I absolutely DESPISE.
- The ending felt incredibly rushed. It felt like a very hastily wrapped gift, and someone slapped a bow on it and called it a day. I feel like the book deserved at least one more chapter to just purge all the feelings from the last few pages, instead of just going the '...and they all lived happily ever after' route. There was so much potential, but everything was just fast forwarded.

📖 Would recommend for: Those who are fans of The Bachelor & the show UnREAL! If you're a fan of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo because it gave the perspective of life behind all the glitz and the glamour, then this book is for you too!

Falling for the Suitor takes us behind the fictional stage of a Bachelor-type show. Pro baseball player Grayson dates 25 women and has to figure out who isn’t there for the right reasons all the while knowing that Bexley is who he wants to be the last woman. He’s thrown a curve ball when the former Suitorette Chrissa shows up on night one to see if there is still a spark. Or does she?

The premise and set up were really fun! I loved the dialogue and the author really did a good job setting up a sense of space. I felt like I was at the resort and could hear the lake and smell the turning leaves.

But overall, the book fell a bit flat for me. The pacing felt off — Grayson and Bexley were really into each other in the beginning and for a loooong time there was just … nothing happening between them and then, bam! HEA time. I loved the moments we saw between Grayson and Bexley, I just wish there were more!

I also would have loved some more substance from the other women on the show. Bexley and Chrissa’s friendship was one of my favorite parts of the book and I wish we got more!

There was also some trauma experienced by characters that was completely glossed over — Bexley’s car accident and Chrissa’s sister — that had a lot of potential to make the characters more dimensional.

Overall it was fun, light romance — I just hoped for a little more!

This is my first Holly Kerr book and it was such a fun read! If you are looking for a cute, fluffy, romance then this book is for you. While reading Falling for the Suitor, I could tell by some of the side characters that there must have been previous books starring them…this did not, however, take away from the new stars of this book Grayson and Bexley and made me want to go back and discover the other couples’ stories, too.
This book is a “Bachelor” take off where a group of women compete for the attention (and the ultimate goal to fall in love) with “the Suitor” Greyson. Bexley is a contestant who was dared to go on the show and surprisingly, has a connection to Greyson. Bexley and Greyson’s love story is sweet and while there is some obvious drama you know that everything will work out in the end. Good read!

In brief, this is a book that follows a 12 week season of something just like the Bachelor, but instead it is the Suitor. Instead of being in the US, it's in Canada. This book is written in Dual POV. You get to hear from both the female MC and Male MC.

I really enjoyed the story and it reads through very fast.

Another fun feature, you can tell this is written in the times of COVID as even the show is forced to stay "in a bubble" at a resort instead of their normal processes. They never said it was due to a "Bubble" or "Covid" but it is alluded to and in the future I think this will be interesting to look back on.

I know there is a stylistic reason for why the producer comments are always at the beginning of Bexly's chapters and not Grayson's, but it felt a bit clunky and I didn't think it was that much better with them.

4.5 Stars!

Falling for the Suitor follows suitor Grayson Grant, a retired baseball player, and his journey to find love after events following his last appearance on “The Suitorette,” and contestant Bexley, an electrician from a small town, making her appearance on the show as merely a dare from her friend Fiona. While Bexley has always found Grayson attractive, it isn't until that first fall that she realizes she is in this to win, and when I say fall, I mean to trip over a long blue dress in heels. Literally. It is a competition for love, but as she thinks she has captured his attention, even as he remains entirely infatuated from their first interaction, there are still twenty-five other girls thinking the same thing as her...including his “ex” from “The Suitorette.” The one that let him get away.

From awkward hugs, forgotten names, and stolen kisses to playing the game of Reality TV for the heart of a swoon-worthy suitor and finding the perfect love, this book is by far one of the best romantic comedies I have ever read. Bexley was adorable, and I LOVED her character. She had all these little personality traits of the perfectly bubbly heroine. For Grayson...I have no words. Just like Bexley, this man was even better than his looks, both figuratively and on paper. Holly Kerr did an incredible;e job with the side characters of this series. Even from limited descriptions, many of the side characters made an impact. There were a few areas I wished I could have had more insight and details on involving who the characters are and how they interact with those around them, but overall I enjoyed this book tremendously.

Falling for the Suitor is the first book in the Suitor Science Series. A series I have no doubt will become a personal favorite. I am so excited to read about other character stories in-depth.

Bexley is competing on The Suitor (very similar to The Bachelor) and it's a fun lighthearted take on the inside details of the reality show. Whether it's accurate or not is beyond me, but it seemed believable :)
She really goes on the show as a dare from her friend, but ends up actually having feelings for The Suitor, Grayson Grant. The ins and outs of their relationship and the show were sweet and entertaining, but I did have a few things that I didn't love....
-the editing left much to be desired (I'm hoping all grammatical and spelling errors are due to this being an ARC and assuming they will be corrected by publication. Otherwise, they are very distracting!)
-I feel like the ending was rushed. I enjoyed reading their story and following along and then it felt like it came to a rushed ending.
-There were a few storylines that I would have liked to know more about (mention of an accident and memory loss, career ending injury, Bex's brother/girlfriend).

Overall this was a fast paced, easy read. Cute and likable! Thank you to NetGalley and Three Birds Press for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

So clearly, if you like the bachelor you probably gonna like this one. I have some qualms about the writing and specially spelling, some words were missing or misspelled, I'm gonna attribute that to this being an ARC, hopefully they fixed it.

The pacing was ok for me, a little wonky, but passable. But the rushed ending was not good enough, and it ruined the experience for me, it felt like there were some pages missing, it was too abrupt.

What a fun little story! Great for fans of The Bachelor Falling for the Suitor has it all, drama, love, producer manipulation! Meet Greyson, after having his heart broken ont he Suitorette, he’s been chosen for his next shot at love with 25 women. Bexley is doing fine, a woman working in a male dominated field she hasn’t had much time for love until her best friends dares her to go and find it on national television.

Holly Kerr wrote a great chick lit book. While some of the stories lines could have been better fleshed out (there was a brief mention of an accident and memory problems but no explanation) and Bexley could read a little “not like other girls” this was a quick enjoyable read that I would definitely recommend. I really enjoyed this book. The bachelor in a book, great for fans of the show. Grayson and Bexley’s story was filled with emotion as they both felt something at the first meeting yet he has to date 25 other women, and follow the shows rules, whilst wanting Bexley as his ending.

Falling for The Suitor by Holly Kerr is written from the perspective of Bexley, who enters the reality show The Suitor on a dare to try to find love, and Grayson, who has already been a contestant on the female version of the show. Grayson is hoping put his broken heart behind him and find true love. The plot of the book is what you would expect. There are mean girls, roses, one-on-one dates, group dates, and irritating crew members. Bexley and Grayson hit it off immediately and we see their individual struggles as Grayson must date the other women.

Despite the fact that the plot was similar to a typical reality show and other books about reality shows, I found it enjoyable and wanted to keep reading. Grayson is a former baseball player, so a lot of the dates center around baseball and his friends, who I really enjoyed meeting. I also enjoyed meeting Bexley's brother and his girlfriend. There was the complication of Chrissa, the former Suitorette who broke Grayson's heart, showing up. This book had enough unique aspects that set it apart from the rest and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good romantic comedy.

I really enjoyed reading about Grayson and Bexley falling for each other while navigating being on a reality show where Grayson had to also date 25 other women.. yeah that was interesting. In the end, love prevails all.

I really loved this book. I finished it in one day because it made me happy while reading it.

Bexley and Grayson are endearing characters and the switch between them as narrators really enhanced the story. I was rooting for both of them from the beginning.

Holly Kerr takes you on the dramatic journey of Bexley and Grayson trying to dig deep and find love while also juggling the attention of other women. The alternating perspectives of the two leaves the reader feeling the butterflies, getting jealous, and being frustrated over the miscommunications. I enjoyed this unique story of reality dating shows and trying to build deeper connections while the world watches. My only downfall with the book is how the ending seems to be fast-forwarded in comparison to the rest of the book. There’s no real sense of time in terms of what point of the show they’re in. If you are a fan of the reality dating shows, this is for you! You’ll get an inside point of view on what goes on.

Set on a reality tv show similar to The Bachelor, Falling for The Suitor follows Bexley and Grayson as they fall in love on the show. As a semi-avid fan of The Bachelor in middle school, I can see a couple of parallels between certain seasons and some plot points in the novel, but it all makes for some wonderful drama. Bexley and Grayson had some hilarious interaction that I definitely was not expecting. Overall, it was a fun read and you should check this book out when it releases!

This was such an adorable romance novel, and I really enjoyed it! From the hilarious and quirky setting to the adorable banters between the main characters, I really found it to be a fun, bookish version of the bachelor, and it really picked up my mood after being in a pretty bad reading slump for a few weeks. I would recommend this story to anyone looking for a fun escape from reality, and a really easy to understand plot!

The heroine didn't want to come on the reality show initially. But when she met The Suitor— Grayson Grant, former player on and off the field, she totally changed her mind. Unfortunately, twenty-five other women think the same thing. I love how the author depict all the details of reality shows... It's hilarious and very engaging. It's a fun read and I really enjoyed it. I like the characters and watch how they come together.

I do believe every book you read has a lesson, and so did this one. I would fail at dating shows. ( I probably would commit murder)

Not just the lesson, but the angst, tension, jealousy, and pining say no more. The romance was a main theme and there wasn’t much development in characters arcs but I still loved it.

While both characters wanted them I love how it showed the choice between what love truly is. We didn’t just see people click we saw what made them continue the click.

So pick this book up the minute it comes out.
