What girl doesn't want to meet her prince (well, earl), have him pursue her, and then fall madly in love? Well, apparently, Diana does not. After taking a job as a nanny, she needs to stay under the radar because she lied about her qualifications. Griffin, however, continues to pursue her and this Cinderella fears that the clock might strike midnight.

I could not stop reading this book! It was addicting and might be my favorite book of the year! I dubbed Griffin as my new book boyfriend after reading this romance. Every word out of his mouth made you want to swoon. I also really liked the family that Diana was working for. They treated her as family. Her sister was awesome, especially as she continued to remind Diana to do the right thing. I love a good book that not only reminds us that life can be a fairy tale but also reminds us about what is right.

Overall, the plot was a fantastic retreat from real life. Thanks to NetGalley for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

To help pay for his sister's medical bills Diana takes a nanny job for a couple vacationing in Aspen. She lies about her qualifications to get the job because she really needs the money. She goes to an event in her boss' place and meets Griffin, Englands most eligible bachelor, who happens to be an Earl. Like the title this is a cinderella type story. I thought it was really sweet and a good, quick read. I really enjoyed the story and can't wait for more from Sariah Wilson. She has quickly become a must-buy author for me.

When I read the plot of this book it caught my attention and I thought I was going to love it. However, I was very disappointed.

I think that the characters are not well constructed, that they lack a lot of development and that in many moments they do things that have nothing to do with their personality.

I liked her a lot more than him. I understand perfectly why she is applying for this job and I think that anyone in her situation would have done the same. I also really like how when things start to get serious, she decides to tell the truth and that's something to be grateful for. That's why I don't understand why she acts the way she does in the end, without letting him express himself. I didn't like it at all.

As for the male protagonist, I was bored out of my mind. He's a character full of clichés and he's very repetitive. You know in advance what he's going to do because he's such an obvious type of character that nothing he does surprises you.

It's a pity because the book could have been developed much better but in the end it has remained a very ordinary book.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Diana and Griffin. Diana is a nanny and Griffin is an earl. There is a mutual attraction. They each had some problems from not telling the truth about your education and experience, a little boy wild imagination, a sister needing a transplant, and a crazy grandmother. But together they work together to resolve the problems and fall in love.

When I requested an advance copy of this I didn’t realize it was the same author as the Paid Bridesmaid and the Seat Filler / both excellent reads and books I’ve recommended to others.
This book, The Cinder-nanny, is a perfect beach read. It’s the story of Diana who comes from a scandalous background and how she finds her price charming. The story was engaging and was a slow build up but in the best way possible. I found the supporting characters of Milo and his family to be comical but at the same time found myself rooting for them all to find happiness.

Diana is a liar, who has fibbed her way into a cushy job as a nanny to 5 year old Milo so that she can afford surgery for her sick sister. Whilst on duty, she meets Griffin, the enigmatic Earl of Strathorne and sparks start to fly!

This was a cute rom com with some genuinely funny and sweet moments. Perfect for anybody looking for a light romance!

The Cinder-Nanny is the latest release from Sariah Wilson, and for me (someone who has read all of her books thus far), this one ranks in my top 3! This is another wonderful love story that will really appeal to anyone who is a fan of "royal" romances, as this one deal with a commoner and an (adjacent) royal (meaning he's not a prince) coming together. If you enjoy HEA's, great build up, and just an overall feel good story, you'll enjoy this story! I was provided this ARC courtesy of NetGalley, but opinions are all my own!

Diana is the daughter of a con artist, and she has resolved never to stray down that path herself. Except her sister is sick and can’t pay her medical bills. And there’s this short-term, incredibly well-paid job she’s somehow blagged her way into. What could possibly go wrong…?

This book grew on me. I tend to avoid contemporary royalty/nobility romances because rather like all those eligible billionaires, they require a little too much suspension of disbelief. However the instant chemistry and back-and-forth banter between Diana and Griffin was wonderful, and the side characters, particularly the children, were well-realised and delightful (OK, not everyone was completely delightful, but…). The pacing of the story felt a little choppy at times - a bit too drawn out in the middle and a sudden rush at the end - but overall an enjoyable first read of this author for me.

This is a fun book, sweet and clean. Diana is nannying in Aspen when she meets an Earl at a charity event. Hilarity ensues, as one can expect. Diana must figure out if she and Griffin can figure things out, or if their differences are insurmountable. This was a quick, rewarding read. One that keeps you turning pages wanting to know how they figure things out.

Seriously! Sariah never fails to bring a book to a truly satisfying end! I thought it was heading one way and it took a left turn and loved it! The characters were fun and I ALWAYS fall in love with the Heroes! She just knows how to write such amazing storylines and how to really pull at your heartstrings! Loved it!!!

I love a good rom-com. This was a modern day Cinderella with a twist. I also love a good nanny romance. I always find it such an epic love story on how she cares for the kids then falls for the father.

Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for providing this ARC to me with an exchange honest review.

We will follow Diana who come to Aspen to become a Nanny on Crawfords family. But, it is not an easy decision for Diana because she needs to lying to this family. She didn't meet the qualification but she made it like she met it, she really need the money for her sister operation that's why she needs to do everything for her sister. While she focusing her life to this job, she accidentally met the Most Eligible Bachelor, Earl Strathorne! Diana don't have time for love but this Earl doesn't want to leave her alone.

I must say that I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! I can't stop smiling and screaming while read this book!

If you asked, is this retelling of Cinderella because of the title? No, it is not. But, it really has the same vibes. A nanny and an Earl, can they become happily ever after like in fairy tale?

The conflict that is raised revolves around Diana's indecisiveness with Griffin blatantly approaching her. Diana, who has a hard life, is not easy to accept, especially with the status of Griffin, who is a noble. Their very different backgrounds are also the main problem in this book. Even though it's a bit cliché, Diana and Griffin's interesting relationship makes reading this book a lot of fun.

I love both Diana and Griffin here. They really meant for each other! I love to see their bantering for small things and we can see how hard is Griffin fell for Diana. The constant flirting he did to Diana really make me scream while I read this. I also love seeing Griffin being honest with his feelings for Diana even though Diana has openly only wanted to be Griffin's friend. Diana's attitude in responding to Griffin's feelings for her is very exciting to follow.

Diana is also not an easy character. She has many secrets and lies to both Crawfords and Griffin, making her unable to be honest with how she feels. However, Diana is very honest about what she thinks of Griffin so we don't find any unimportant miscommunication here and even Griffin's attitude of accepting Diana under any circumstances is really enviable! Diana and Griffin's relationship is absolutely beautiful and fun to follow. How stubborn Diana was but Griffin who always chased Diana relentlessly.

I love a lot of things from this book, from all the characters and also the plot itself. Really recommend for you who want to read a sweet romance story and very easy to read!

Cinder-Nanny, Sariah Wilson

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre: General Fiction, Romance.

I'm not really keen on retellings, but have found a few I really like and as I've enjoyed some of Sariah's books I thought I'd try.
Its a sweet story, cute and sweet, but to be honest it was all a little too-good-to-be-true. That someone would pay that much for an unqualified person to look after her precious child, that Griffin, being so famous and eligible would be out and about just like that, and just happen to bump into and strike up conversation with Diana. Its a cute romance, but for me just a little too sweet and light, no real drama, even the big fall down.
Still, not everyone wants that, lots of readers want sweet and light, and if that's you this is perfect. Its just not me.

Stars: Three, a little too light and sweet for me.

This was a sweet, royal, nanny, rom-com romance. Overall a little saccharine, and fully closed-door, but sometimes that’s the exact kind of romance I need in my life. If the first half of this book had been condensed to around 50 pages and we fast tracked our way to the development of the love story, it could have been 5 stars for me.

Diana Parker is the child of a con artist. Though she’s been con-free since she was 16, when faced with her sister’s imminent kidney transplant costs Diana decides to pull out her rusty skills and manipulate her way into a high paying nanny gig.. Her suddenly elevated social situations have her crossing paths with the earl Griffin Windsor. Griffin is very much a Prince Charming type, but Diana doesn’t trust anything in life that’s too easy. Griffin then spends a large part of the book wooing Diana over, in the sweetest ways possible.

While this is definitely a slow burn romance, it was so slow that it took me forever to become invested in the characters. Thankfully it takes a sharp turn in the last quarter and suddenly our leads are vibing, and communicating, and the banter is 10x better. Maybe the difference is that instead of Diana holding off and pushing Griffin away, he’s finally able to clearly state his feelings and it’s just so much better all around. We gets gems like this from him:

“I understand that you’re protecting yourself. I may not understand all the reasons why, but I know that you have this rough exterior to safeguard your tender heart. A heart that’s been damaged. And I promise that I would be careful with it, should you choose to trust me with it.”

And then he backs those kinda statements up by doing things like showing up, and respecting Diana’s boundaries, and proving over and over that he’s invested in Diana and willing to put in the work.

This was definitely worth the read, but not my favorite Sariah Wilson book. Cinder-Nanny is MUCH better than The Paid Bridesmaid, on-par with The Seat Filler, and not as good as Room-Maid.

~4.5 stars~

This is one of the best books I've read this year. Sariah Wilson is one of my favorite authors, and she never fails to deliver passionate stories full of chemistry. I'm a sucker for the nanny trope, and this nanny story was incredibly well done. Diana was a lovely person—determined to do what was necessary to save her family but also always trying to do what was right and rise above her past. And Griffin was a thoughtful and kind alpha male who was dogged in his pursuit of Diana. Their instant interest in one another was sweet to see.

The side characters were a great addition as well. The children were adorable and helped provide some emotional depth to the story. And while the climax added some necessary drama, it wasn’t overdone or drawn out. I do wish that Griffin had been a bit more decisive and that we had been able to meet Diana’s mother, but these were minor issues in the face of such an outstanding book. The epilogue was beautiful and heartwarming, although I wouldn’t have minded it being a bit longer.

Overall, this was a supremely satisfying romance full of humor, passion, and emotion. It receives my absolute highest recommendation.

*I received an ARC of this novel. This is my complete and honest review.*

This book is utterly adorable. From the Muppet references that had me LOLing to the heroine’s unique backstory. The banter between Griffin and Dianna is everything! I especially loved how, when Diana’s secret gets out, the other characters don’t react in the formulaic manner. Thank you!
