Lovesick Ellie was such a funny, quick read! It had all my favorite rom-com vibes and award moments. It was interesting to see Omi-kun's outward personality, and his true private self shown to Ellie, even though she thought she was in love with the real him already. I thought the art was amazing too! This is definitely a book fro lovers of the sunshine/grumpy trope too! I really can't wait to continue this series and see how the romance unfolds. There were also some other plot lines set up, like friendships, which will be fun to see too!

This one surprised me in a lot of good ways. The characters felt like more realistic takes on extremely awkward highschoolers all of whom are trying to navigate the fantasy versus reality of other people. The romance is a big one, but I found the chapter between two new friends refreshing, too. It's nice to see that each character has their own worries about perception and interactions with others. That'd be a lot for the MC to carry. The romance has potential, because both parties are still growing and bad at this. There's a very easy back and forth between them. Would recommend if you like romance manga!

Lovesick Ellie is a fun and light romantic comedy about a girl known as Ellie. She's quite invisible in school and doesn't have friends, but is very active on Twitter writing her fantasies about the school heart-throb boy Ohmi. Ohmi seems perfect until Ellie finds out accidentally that the boy is quite rude and not quite like everyone thinks he is. Thus these two start to interact and soon there are feelings in the air and whatnot. I liked the fact how shamelessly Ellie still keeps fantasizing and how Ohmi knows it, it's refreshing. I also like how we get to see this darker side of Ohmi more and how he behaves like a normal person with Ellie. In a sense them being so different works out nicely.

The art is quite nice and the characters are quite lively. I'm glad Ellie gets a friend too, so this is not solely romance. But, sadly so the manga has a fast pace like so many romance series for girls. Already in this first part we get to them falling in love, when this of all should've needed more time, since the characters don't know each other at all basically. I don't know why more time isn't used to develop the setting. Lovesick Ellie is still a cute romance series, so if you're into that, then this is for you surely.

To be frank, for a shojo manga, I found this to be a little fluffy. It was beautiful to witness how the main characters' relationship developed in the manga's second half. You know the feeling of wanting to protect your loved ones because of the way he looks after her.YES, THAT WAS IT. The concept was somehow new to me since it's purely fictional on another note.

This story is over the top in the best way, with plenty of embarrassing awkwardness, borderline cringe, and downright silliness. Mixed into this setting is a sweet story of a lonely, insecure girl growing into her own and finding love and friendship with other people. There's no shortage of tender moments and the art style is beautiful.
The story relies on plenty of familiar school romance tropes, but puts them together in a way that makes this one of my favorite manga series.

A bookworm and a tsundere get together through the most silliest way possible. This was a really fun shojo to read and very light hearted. It's almost so sweet with the baits that you get cavities. Ichimura Eriko fantasizes about a relationship with the popular boy at her school and posts updates of her fantasies on social media. This is hilarious to follow as the guy finds out about her twitter and KNOWS that it is about him. Slowly, she finds out that the boy is not so normal himself leading to some hilarious situations in a high school setting. DEF recommend SO funny. I really enjoyed it.

This is like if Tina from Bob's Burgers wrote her erotic friend fiction on Twitter and Jimmy Jr was a secret tsundere.

Ellie is the resident invisible girl at her school who spends her free time on Twitter role-playing the life she wished she had with a boyfriend that doesn't exist. This fake boyfriend is based on Ohmi, the school's good guy idol, beloved by all for his kindness and good looks. Only, it turns out, this is a facade Ohmi puts on for yet unknown reasons. Not only that, but he discovers Ellie's secret Twitter account!

Honestly, at this point, I thought this was going to go the way of Mission of Love, where all the main characters are trash monsters who, for some reason, fall in love. Luckily, that is not the case. Ellie is embarrassed but Ohmi never uses this information against her. And, Ellie genuinely finds his tsun personality hot so they form an unproblematic bond.

From that point on, it is a straightforward Shojo, but honestly, that is the best one can hope for. I feared the Twitter fiction would be creepy but it is so obviously fiction that it works fine. I will probably continue reading this series casually.

This cute story follows a girl who creates fantasy tweets about her crush. It turns out he’s got a darker side than she realizes, but the two are drawn together, despite him being super popular and her being practically invisible. I would recommend this for readers who want a cute rom-com maga.

Cute and fluffy!

It was really fun ready shoujo mangas again. This one is so cute. Ellie is every bookworm who fantasize a lot, which is a lot like me. Omi was this cute boy with a jerky attitude but I'm guessing he is just tsundere. There relationship was so hilarious. This was a pretty light read and a good start of a series.

This manga is of the shoujo type, from which you can catch diabetes. It didn't turn out to be from my titles. I don't think I've had any interest in the classic shoujo for a long time, or if I don't, at least it's very limited. Maybe it's normal, this type of stories are written for teenagers in the period 13-16 years. Again a school theme, the "unpopular girl" who is the super-read blogger online (what's the name of those who only post on Twitter, actually?) And a snob boy. Anyone who is basically familiar with the genre can arrange the story in their heads word for word, even without opening up to reading, because ordinary things happen. And what more? Otherwise, for the age group I mentioned above, the title is good. I guess for those ladies who are not fed up with the genre, too.

Definitely a great start to a new series. Loved the awkwardness of both main characters but especially Ellie. I think this will be a great series to watch a couple grow even though they may be already all too comfortable to show their true selves. Can't wait for the next book!!

One day, she found out the Ohmi-kun has a secret, just as he found out about her identity as Ellie. Will Ohmi-kun keep her secret identity a secret?

This is such a cute story!!! You get to meet Ichimura who has been living vicariously through her Twitter personality due to years of being invisible to everyone else around her. Ohmi on the other hand has lived his life under the spotlight. The two gets thrown together as both keep the other’s secret. Ichimura’s high school life is definitely about to change with the presence Ohmi-kun. I love getting to know the characters and joining them in their high school journey.

If you like Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, this is definitely something along those lines, and I’m sure you would enjoy this too!

I can’t wait for the next volume to come out!

Such a relatable main character. I love the dynamic between Eriko and Ohmi I can see a bright future for them and all the shenanigans that they will get into. And the part of what's inside her purse and pastime is probably very relatable to most readers picking up this volume. Can't wait for more!

100% loved this volume! It was exactly what I love about manga, a tsundere boy with an invisible but adorable girl…. I love how they developed their feelings in this volume. I also extremely adore the art style. It’s gorgeous!

What I loved the most in this first volume is how Ellie's personality is so fun! She is so honest with her feelings, and her mind is so creative and fun to just get a glimpse of it! The romance is getting good, and I think it's the first time i read a shojo where both mains are so in tune with what they are feeling anmd share -most of them - out loud!

I am obsessed with this manga! The mcs hobby is making slightly pervy tweets about the most popular boy in her school. He's good looking and appears to be friendly with everyone.. but not everything is what it seems.
What will happen if he were to discover these pervy fantasies about himself? You simply must read to find out.

Ellie keeps to herself and spends her time posting fun little romance daydream scenarios to twitter. She doesn't really have any friends and for some reason no one really notices her. Until her crush does for some reason. She gets embarrassed and runs away but forgets her phone and he sees her daydream posts on her twitter. Turns out he thinks they're really funny. He has a very two sided personality though. He's bright and shiny in front of all of their classmates and is cranky in front of Ellie but also a little childish. Ellie is constantly embarrassed and jealous off all the attention her crush constantly gets. This title was really cute. I didn't like the constant use of the term pervert due to it's negative connotation but I grew to understand what they meant.

Ellie is lovesick for this one guy at school and she has a Twitter where she posts her little fantasies. She never claims this is real even on Twitter.

Then somehow she finds out object of her affections isn’t as perfect as she thought. He’s actually kinda mean and rude and hates all the attention these girls give him. She became a kind of friends with him and they just awkward together and it’s so cute. I love it. Maybe popular guy and bullied girl has been done before but honestly it hits every time because who wasn’t bullied and just wanted someone they liked to like them too?

It helps that the art is adorable and I love that our LI isn’t super smooth, he’s actually just as shy as she is but hides it well.

Lovesick Ellie was an adorable first volume to a manga I will be continuing. We follow Ellie who has a secret Twitter account (Lovesick__ellie) which is her writing anonymously romantic scenarios about the boy she has a crush on. The boy she has a crush on is stereotypically in most shojo manga the most popular boy in school, but however this boy seems nice on the outside to most people but only shows his true personality to Ellie once he discovers her Twitter account. I thought this was a cute and wholesome shojo about two teenagers learning how to express their true feelings. I look forward to reading the next volume!
