I honestly went blindly into it with absolutely zero expectations, but holy moly it was soo good. It has action and lots of spice, the thing I absolutely needed to get out of my reading slump. It was definitely a 4 stars reads for me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Action and steam made for a good plot but I struggled to connect with the characters.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

Oh, this is a GOOD start to the Fraser family and all of their issues. A little twisted, a little dark and shadowy, and a lot fast-paced make for a book that I absolutely could not put down!

Lucas is beyond interested in his mystery woman, so imagine his surprise when fantasy and reality come crashing together when Sariah becomes his life. They just have to deal with betrayals, both expected and one they never saw coming, survive the wrath of three syndicate families, maybe get some sleep, and enjoy all that the future has to offer. Easy peasy, yeah?

I enjoyed the glimpses of Zeke and his love for Bailey, some of our favorite Sons, and the probable future for at least one other Fraser sibling. Maybe Kane will have a less eventful path with his woman, but I doubt it. I just know that I’ll be here for it because this author has more than delivered on my expectations. Sariah is incredibly stubborn and strong, Luke is the warrior who will do anything for her, and I’m pretty sure they’ll stand with the rest of his siblings to take down the tyrants who rule with iron fists soon enough.

Thank You to netgalley for providing me an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a great way to start off the New year with, Lucas and Sariah are one of the cutest couples i've read about in a book with some dark elements. Jessica Ames created these characters in a way where you couldn't help but feel attached, it drew you into the book more and more. This is the first book I've read by Jessica Ames and I will definitely be picking up more of her books in the future. If you want something with both spice and action this is the book for you, 'warning there are graphic torture scenes and mentions of abuse.'

Oh what a freaking phenomenal book this is. First thing I have to say is what gorgeous cover. This story was a wild ride from beginning to end. I love love Luke and Sariah. No matter what Sariah endured at the hand of her father she stood strong even doing something that would cause her death. By going against her father she meets Luke and boy do the sparks fly. Even though their time together is coming to a close, neither one could ever anticipate what the future holds, how tragic it will be. When Luke realizes who Sariah is he will do anything to keep her safe even if it means his death. There is a hea for these two but its definitely not a road paved with roses. I HIGHLY recommend this book and can't wait for the next book.

Fractured Vows is the first book in the Frasier crime syndicate series and focuses on the love story of Sariah and Luke. Sariah Easton is promised to a monster. Her Father, a mob boss, must give her to Jeremiah Wood in order to further his "kingdom". They have protected her all of her life from friendships, outside life, and especially from men. Sariah is determined not to give her virginity to Jeremiah, a monster. She sneaks out one night and goes to a club near her home where she meets Luke, a mobster from another crime family, though she doesn't immediately know that.

Luke and Sariah's chemistry is intense and immediate when she meets him at Tease. She gives him a false identity, but they fall head over heels. With no spoilers, this book has a happy ever after..

This book is spicy, but also sensitive. Trigger warnings are abuse and rape (mentioned). This is a dark mafia romance, heavy on the action and spice. Fractured Vows releases 1/20/2022.

4*
Sariah meets Luke on the night she sneaks out, wanting to loose her virginity to a man of her choosing.
Luke spots her straight away and gives her what she wants, usually a night is enough but with her it isn't.
I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more in the series.

This story follows Sariah Easton and Lucas Fraser, both children of mobsters. Sariah is promised to a man over twice her age who is just as scary and abusive as her “father”. Without her mother to save her and her father that doesn’t give a shit about her, she decides to take matters into her own hands. She doesn’t want this man she’s been sold to to take her virginity so she decides to sneak out and let it happen on her own terms. That’s when she meets Luke.

Luke is the son of another crime lord in London and they hit it off nicely. He takes her virginity and she’s happy she had some control over her life. But it was much more than that. Sariah lies about her true identity and she doesn’t really know who Luke is either but they begin to form feelings for each other, both annoyed that they can never be together.

Most of the crime families in London are not happy about Sariahs planned marriage and intent to stop it, including the Fraser’s (especially the Fraser’s).

I’d be saying too much if I told you what happened but you can read to find out!

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was a decent read and the author did a good job showing the connection between Sariah and Lucas. However, the writing was a little off for me. I can’t pinpoint what it was but although the story line was good, the writing seemed somewhat bland and didn’t pull me in and keep me on the edge of my seat like most mafia books do/have. I did enjoy it though and the story line was promising enough to keep me reading!

I’m looking forward to the second book so we can find out about Sariah’s complicated family lineage and see how her relationship with Lucas progresses.

I have a strange feeling her father was actually the man she was supposed to marry 🤔

I loved this book!
I loved the fact that they were both obsessed with each other and wanted to be with each other despite the circumstances.

Absolutely loved how Luke was so protective of his family and his younger sister it was amazing ❤️and the whole hiding their identities situation was seriously well done.

I felt that the characters lacked depth in some places and i felt as if Luke and Sariah didn’t really know anything about themselves but suddenly just loved each other which was annoying.
I also wish that we learnt more about Sariahs Family…

Overall i thought this books was a fairly quick and easy mafia read and i think it’s great if you are starting with mafia books!

I’m so glad i read this!

Fractured Vows follows Sariah who is being forced to marry a man twice her age for the benefit of her father's empire. Determined to make her own decisions, weeks before her marriage, she sneaks out to a bar where she meets Lucas and the story takes off from there.

As this is my first Jessica Ames book and I didn't know much about the story going into it, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this book. However, I have to say that the very first line and opening pages were the perfect way to suck you into the story and throughout the book I felt both the writing and story itself equally compelling. The heart and soul of the story is the romance between Sariah and Lucas and whilst they do fall for each other fast, I did root for them and found them to be the best part of the book.

This book was hard to read at times, heartwarming in other parts and down right frustrating all at once. I will say that I would have liked the second half of the book to have slowed down slightly to really flesh out the characters and explore the plot further. I would also have liked to see Sariah have a few more badass moments as she took back her independence. Nevertheless, this was a quick and compelling read and I am definitely intrigued to see where the sequel takes us.

What a rollercoaster!

This book was so dang good.

Sariah and Luke are a force together. Their love is steamy and consuming. I caught my heart racing all through out this book and spent every moment I was able to reading this.

This is the first book I’ve read by Jessica Ames and I’m head over heels. Her writing style is so smooth and the spice? *chefs kiss*.

Sariah lives a forced life under her fathers reign as a mob boss. Due to be wed off to an older, far worse man, Sariah takes it upon herself to let herself live freely before living a life trapped in a cage with a man who seeks only to harm.

Giving a false identity she meets Lucas (Luke) at a club and their chemistry is instantaneous.

Lucas is the youngest son in his mob family and is a perfect alpha male with the “touch her and you die” persona. I love love LOVE the touch her and die trope.

Not only are the steamy scenes spicy but the tender and heartfelt moments that are sprinkled in are so amazing. This book is full of action and whew does it leave you breathless.

Fractured Vows is written in first person, dual POV between Lucas and Sariah. Both POVs are written to perfection 🥵

If you like dark mafia romance with heavy action… in all ways ;) then you’ll want to pick this up when it releases 1/20/2022

Fractured Vows is book one in the Fraser Crime Syndicate and is a mafia romance. Sariah is being forced into marriage by her father as a way to strengthen alliances between two families, but the man she is marrying is really old and mean, and basically her worst nightmare. On a rare night of rebellion, Sariah sneaks out of her house and ends up meeting Lucas, though neither person really knows the other person's actual identity and the major role that they will come to play in their lives.

This was my first book by this author, and I found it to be engaging and enjoyable. I thought Sariah and Luke had some great chemistry and I liked how natural their relationship seemed despite their circumstances, and how protective Luke was of Sariah. I would definitely like to read more from this author in the future.
