Thea finds herself taking a holiday to Cornwall on her own, after best friend Esme faces a crisis at work. When she arrives in Port Karadow she meets neighbour Ben, but not under the best of circumstances. Can Thea tackle alone the tasks on the challenging bucket list that she and Esme put together, or will she hide away? Will she find the comfort in the village that she craves, or will she be driven back to her home in Bristol, giving up her dreams?

A fun, lighthearted read. Lovely scenery, intriguing characters, a perfect summer story to get caught up in.

When Thea's friend has to pull out of their holiday at the last minute, she decides to head to Port Karadow by herself. What Thea didn't tell any of her friends though, is that she came to Port Karadow to chase her life long dream of owning a bookshop in this very town. Having booked a lovley cottage overlooking the sea, she didn't expect to run into the handsome builder next door Ben.

Thea is quickly befriended by Meredith and Finn, Ben's friends and the main characters from 'Christmas Carols and Cornish Cream Tea'. Thea enjoys spending time with her new found friends whilst exploring Port Karadow for a suitable location for her book shop. Having Ben by her side to do so, makes things even better.

This is the sixth installment of The Cornish Cream Tea Bus-series, but can easily be read as a stand alone, but Charlie and Daniel from the very first book do make an appearance.

Absolutely loved this book! Cressida McLaighlin has a way of pulling you into her stories with lovely relatable characters and setting Cornwall as a wonderful backdrop. It makes me want to visit!

Thank you NetGalley and publisher Harper Collins UK for my advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Another in the Cornish Cream Tea series and it did not disappoint. A great summer read that takes you back to Cornwall. Although this is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone. I thought it was brilliant. Although it was a holiday romance story it was also about following your dreams, friendship and trust. Highly recommend Cressida McLaughlin and this one did not disappoint.

A great summer read
Thea is supposed to be going for a 3 week holiday with her best friend Esme to Port Karadow in Cornwall but unfortunately her friend has to stay at work so Thea decides to go alone
The holiday cottage is idyllic and the views are fantastic but when she meets her grumpy neighbour Ben she wonders if she is going to have to spend the whole time trying to avoid him. Luckily it doesn't turn out that way and her holiday turns out much better than she ever thought it would

When Thea's friend pulls out of their planned Cornwall holiday, she decides to go it alone and do everything anyway. She just didn't anticipate meeting Ben, the brooding builder who lives next door to her holiday cottage.

At first, I thought this book was going to be another typical rom com, and it is a formulaic read..but of the very best kind! The characters are great; they have depth, are totally relatable and very quickly, you feel like you really know them. The plot has twists and turns but is ultimately quite a soothing read; one you don't have to massive think about but can just enjoy.

If you know Cornwall, it's a nice read to 'visit' lots of places by - a great holiday read!

I love the Cornish Cream Tea books and this one doesn’t disappoint.

Thea has a dream: to open a bookshop in Port Karadow. Can she make her dream come true?

A wonderful story with new and old characters which was an enjoyable and entertaining read.

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Another book in the Cornish cream tea series.

Thea moves to Port Karadow on a3 week holiday, originally planned with her best friend who drops out at the last minute she decides to go on her own. The cottage she is staying in is cosy but the noisy builder neighbour Ben isn’t as welcoming as she excepts. Thea starts to wonder if she has made the right decision to go on holiday alone. That is until she realises there is more to the little village and Ben isn’t as grumpy as she initially believed him to be and finds she never wants her holiday to end.

Feel good, lovely easy reading book, I enjoyed the gentle storyline and the characters, love that some eclectic random people just pop up in the story just like real life when you bump into people and get chatting! Perfect for an afternoon in the garden in the sunshine!

I adore Cressida McLaughlin books. They are always so feel good, romantic, funny, easy to read, uplifting and make me very hungry and this one is no exception. It was really lovely to meet up with the wonderful characters again. I adore this series.

This is book six in the Cornish cream tea series but can easily be read as a stand alone and the books don’t need to be read in order but highly recommend reading all of them as such a beautiful series.

Felt lovely to be back in Cornwall and port karadow sounds like a lovely idyllic holiday location to add to my wish list. This story focused on Thea who was looking forward to a holiday with her friend and found that at the last minute she had to go it alone and wasn’t sure what to expect before
She arrived and it turned out not
To just be a holiday but also a
Journey of self discovery and the path to making her dreams come true by turning
Them into a reality. Loved how we were also introduced to Ben and his friends and their parts in the story and how they linked in with characters from previous cream tea novels. This book featured the cream
Tea bus but this was cleverly used in the background rather than being the main focus making this instalment slightly different from some of the others. This series just gets better and better and this one was no exception and a perfect escapism read. I would love Thea and ben to feature in future books to see where their characters and story continues to take them.

Wow, it's really incredible that it's already 6th book in the Cornish Cream Tea series! Though, to be honest, it's not so fully Cornish Cream Tea book for me, the author simply uses the popularity of the series setting her books in Cornwall, around the same town and allowing the "old" characters to enter a few scenes. On the other hand, why not? Same place, same people, even if there are always new ones, same series, easy.

It was a story filled with descriptions. Lovely ones, but everything was described with all the details and more, weather, setting, clothes, food... And in the end there was not a lot of place left for the plot itself. However, the characters and the plot were strong enough to keep the book going. There was, of course,a lot of unneccassary drama and tragic turns and twists that you could see coming at you from every direction, but it is written in such a way that it absolutely doesn't bother you.

Lovely written, full of sunshine and gorgeous dog, I did enjoy this book.

Another fantastic instalment of the cream tea bus, glad to see this series evolving and now focusing on new characters and storylines but with appearances from the old as well.
Fantastic read

Cressida McLaughlin’s Cornish Cream Tea series is definitely up there with my favourite series and each time I finish one I am already sitting there wishing the months by eager for the next one to be released.

The Cornish Cream Tea Holiday is book number 6 in the series but to be completely honest if you haven’t read the previous books it is not a problem at all as this can easily be read as a standalone but you will be desperate to go back an read the others straight after.

I am sure every reader will love our new main character Thea because she has a dream I am sure most of us keen readers have had at some point through our lives! When her holiday to Cornwall with her best friend Esme faces a hiccup because Esme is unable to come Thea goes anyway armed with a list of things to do sites to see and a secret mission to see if she can possibly make her dream come true. What was not on her list was finding an irresistible builder named Ben living next door to her rental who soon becomes a consistent distraction!
We are reunited with some of much-loved characters from previous books, Meredith and Finn are weaved in around the storyline and it is great to see how well they are doing. We also have a very brief appearance from Charlie and Daniel but I really wish we could have more of them and Gertie in the novels but I need to stop being needy and just appreciate that a little bit of a good thing is probably what makes you want and love something even more.
Watching Thea building her confidence and pushing forward to try and make her dream a reality and a new life for herself was both exciting and inspiring, I was cheering her on all the way.
Ben was an intriguing character who I grew to love. His past shadowed his pure heart of gold but as his barriers began to come down we could see he was a pure gentleman with a whole lot of love to give, he had just lost his way.
I would have loved to have seen more of the renovation process in the book to go on Thea’s journey from start to end but that is just me being greedy and wanting to live a little of my dream through her! I definitely feel like there is still so much to come from both Thea and Ben so I am hoping that they make a strong reappearance in a future novel.
This was up there as my second favourite in the series and I highly recommend this for those looking for an uplifting romance with Cornish charm to take away on your holibobs or to enjoy on your staycation this year.
