What a fabulous feel good story filled with love, loss, friendship and discovery. The main character, Daisy, loses her beloved nan, Rose, at the start of the book and this then sets off a voyage of discovery - is she really related to Elvis?

I loved all the descriptions of Graceland, the author has clearly spent either many hours wandering the home or many researching every inch by photos and documentaries. Whatever it was, it paid off as the details are amazing.

Daisy also has the best fashion sense, vintage and a “who cares” attitude to herself. She fits in well with the tour group and makes some great friends - and the witty banter with them is just brilliant.

I loved this and its such an easy cosy read, definitely one to read after a heavier novel.

No need to worry about book 2 nerves with this author, she's knocked it out the park all over again!
Fun read- I am obsessed with Daisy's fashion which really brings her to life. I also adore the family names all being flowers.
Feel light and free and get whisked away in Elvis territory where more than you think happens in the most gorgeous way.
A welsh setting that doesn't throw all the stereotypical welsh-isms down your throat is also very welcomed here.

Lots of laughter, love and light hearted reading. Blissful.

Daisy, a thrift thrift store owner in Wales, has an amazing bond with her grandmother Rose. Rose likes everything to do with Elvis and her house has a lot of memorabilia. Her house was very atmospheric.

Daisy's mother Lillian does not seem to share in this passion for Elvis, but it is passed down to Daisy.

I love books that have something passed down through the generations and where you can see the bond between generations. I was sad when Rose died and I was keen to follow Daisy on her journey to Memphis.

I like the quirky cover, and the street on it looked inviting. Just from that, I wanted to go on the journey.

This was such a heartwarming story! The synopsis definitely caught my attention because I have been an Elvis fan since I was a kid. Unique storyline and a great cast of characters. Thank you for my copy!

Daisy finds out from her grandmother, who on her death bed makes the confession that she had an affair with Elvia Presley and that he may be her Grandfather and so Daisy decides she must make the trip to find out!

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Daisy has always been close to her grandmother. When she learns that she may have had a child in Tennessee, she is shocked. She decides to find answers after she passed away. I enjoyed the different characters in this book.

Heartwarming, mysterious, and magical. This book transports you to Memphis and takes you on a journey through rock’n’roll history and the surprising twists and turns of life. I loved getting to know these characters and following them on their journeys.

Note: the multiple perspectives was sometimes challenging to follow.

I was drawn to this book because of its connection with Elvis Presley. I also loved the cover, which depicted a wholesome main street of shops that stirred up a nostalgic/heartwarming feeling within me. I've read about Elvis Presley for decades, and was fortunate to have finally made the pilgrimage to Graceland and Memphis in 2019.

This is a lighthearted and touching book about a young woman in Wales who has a shop called Blue Moon Vintage Clothing. Her name is Daisy and she is passionate bout fifties type music and the era itself, heavily influenced by her beloved Grandma Rose. Her Grandma is all about Elvis, has her home decorated with all sorts of memorabilia and a classic record player to spin her long player Elvis albums. Strangely enough, Daisy's Mom Lillian seems to eschew all of this and is more strait laced. But, Grandma Rose seems to be losing it mentally at the beginning of the book, and shortly dies thereafter. However, before dying she mutters that Lillian's father was Elvis Presley. Lillian grew up without a father, but Rose never confessed to Lillian his identity.

Next thing you know, Daisy and her Mom Lillian are boarding a plan to visit Memphis, Tennessee, USA, and of course Graceland in search of the truth. However, at the last second Lillian decides she doesn't want to go, so Daisy embarks on this unique journey alone.

My favorite parts of the book were the descriptions of all the guided tours Daisy went on, because I went to the exact same historic points- and so it was fun to read about and refer to photos from my trip. The parts I felt were weak were with some of the outlying characters, which were people she met and sat next to on the airplane. These characters remained in the story as they stayed at the same motel and went on tours together. I found them rather silly and lacking in authenticity. When the book focused solely on Daisy's journey, I enjoyed it more. I also found Daisy's mother to be a weak and unlikeable character until she was redeemed somewhat by the end of the book. In addition, certain details of the storyline were less believable and I also realized after finishing the book that Daisy's own father was never mentioned (unless I missed something!). So, this was a mixed bag for me and I'm going to rate it "Good"- which is 3 Stars.

Full of history, music, pop culture and love this is a must read

i really wanted to enjoy this book, but it did not work for me personally. i should have known better, but you live and learn. so thanks so much, netgalley for the chance to read this early!!

I loved the title, the cover, the blurb … but it just moved a little slow for me. It was nice, it was an easy read and I certainly don’t regret it… it just lacked a little oomph for me. But not every book is for every person it’s still a very well written and lovely story.
Daisy is a lovely character and I have envy over her boots! They are a great bunch … maybe not Sid!

On her deathbed Rose Featherstone reveals to her daughter that her father was Elvis Presley. She had visited Memphis in the 60's where she had embarked on a brief love affair. Resulting in a child.
Coming to terms with the news. Her Granddaughter Daisy embarks on a trip to discover if there is any truth to her grandmothers claims.
Flying into the fabled city she shares the trip with a great bunch of characters. Who lighten the story in the book. (imagine waking up to Elvis in your room!)
She also meets Blue. A Memphis cop. Could Daisy find her blood family and a new love?
A heart warming story with lots of references to the swinging 60's and the musical era.

This is the sweetest, warm hearted, touching and enjoyable romance I have read in quite some time. The characters are delightful and just so lovable. From the first chapter until the last sentence I was enthralled with the unique characters and each persons story line. The setting was fun and the little comedic experiences added a lightness that made it all such fun. This would make a wonderful romantic comedy movie. I read this book in one evening as I just had to find out how it would end.

What an interesting book, I learnt so much about Elvis and the places on the tourist trail. When I started to read the book I wasn’t sure where the ending would take me but the story fascinated me and I couldn’t put the book down. Daisy was a very likeable character, I laughed at the image of her missing the coach and the way she eventually caught up with it again. The supporting characters were interesting too and each had a story of their own. Would I recommend the book - definitely. A brilliant summer read.
