I was SO EXCITED to find out that this book was set in Wisconsin! Then I was a little less excited because Phoebe is not at all impressed with Wisconsin at the beginning of the book, but it all works out for Wisconsin in the end.

This is a stand alone book in a new series. You don't have to read any other books to enjoy this one, but if you like rom coms I highly recommend listening to any/all of Pippa Grant's audiobooks in addition to this one.

The One Who Loves You is a little bit grumpy hero, a smidge of enemies to lovers, part quirky small town, and a lot of fun. I'm planning to purchase the audiobook when it comes out to hear the story a second time, and I'm looking forward to reading more of the series.

Phoebe Lightly is a rich socialite from the upper east side echelon of poor little rich girls who worry about having the latest loubitan rather than where their rent money is coming from. When her grandmother, Estelle Lightly, chokes on a piece of Wagyu beef, she has an awakening where she must take the entire lightly family for redemption in a small town in Wisconsin called "Tickled Pink". for one year. On her first day of purgatory in the happy little town, she loses her expensive shoes, falls in a lake, and meets the grumpy man, Teague Miller, who doesn't bat an eyelash at her when she falls in. This book is at once hilarious and chock full of Phoebe missteps, along with her dysfunctional family.

There are a lot of characters in this book. Between the Lightlys and the townspeople, it can be confusing keeping track of them. I didn't particularly like Phoebe as a person, but enjoyed her journey towards becoming a better one. I wanted Phoebe and Teague to have more of a connection than I got. I thought they were cute together, but it seemed more physical attraction than anything else. I think this was a cute introduction to the series and I hope we see Tavi's story next!

Good gravy! Pippa Grant has created a community I want to live in. I love the characters in Tickled Pink and am looking forward to getting to know them better!

Even though I had a hard time getting into the story at first, I fell in love with the crazy characters of Tickled Pink. Phoebe Lightly is stuck in their town because her grandmother choked on some food and had a "revelation" that her entire family needed to "improve" themselves. Another reviewer refered to Estelle Lightly as Kris Jenner and I've never read something so true in my life! Thinking she knows better than everyone else, Estelle forces everyone to "better" themselves by doing things for the community. Of course, none of those things are actually good for anyone. They are still self-serving.

My favorite part about Pippa Grant's books is that they balance the silly with the sincere. I've read almost all of Pippa's books and this one touched me differently than the others. I love how she showed love so normally. From Bridget to Shiloh and her wife, to everyone in the community who loves and supports one another, Phoebe finds people who see that she can be different. Phoebe discovers that who she is is not the person she wants to be and she does the work to better herself. Teague's secret, when it is revealed, explains so much about his behavior and why he needed to see Phoebe's journey for himself. But it is Phoebe's self-discovery that is so very heart-warming.

I feel so lucky to have read this story. It makes me excited to see what is in store for Phoebe's siblings.

I LOVED this story. Once again Pippa has created a town we all want to visit and characters we hate, love, love-to-hate, and hate-to-love. Teague and Phoebe have an enemies-to-lovers, strangers-to-friends vibe with some laugh-out-loud moments and twists we didn't see coming. Pippa Grant does a great job creating a world that not only brings together a couple, but explores the different versions of family along the way. Can't wait to see what's next in Pink Gold!

Although this book didn't hook me and reel me in quite as quickly as the other Pippa Grant books I've read (I think nearly 100% at this point), once I was hooked, I found myself falling in love with Pheobe, Teague, and the rest of Tickled Pink. The story focuses on the Lightly family's attempts to deal with the redemption of their souls the family matriarch is forcing them to undergo in Tickled Pink (or more affectionately referred to initially as hell by Phoebe), a town as different from Manhattan, the Lightly's usual stomping grounds as you can get. The obstacles Phoebe finds herself competing with on her journey were absurd yet relatable, and I found myself rooting for her, and for her growing attraction with Teague, throughout most of the book. This book is a little different from Grant's other books. The first few chapters had me unsure if I would like it, but I soon found myself relating to Phoebe and Teague, getting a bit more teared up than usual, and still laughing til I cried in other parts. Overall, a great read that once it hooks you in hits you in the feels and makes you laugh, and I'd highly recommend it. Can't wait for the next in the series.

I am beyond in love with this book and the journey that Teague and Phoebe go on. Phoebe’s story really resonated with me (as much as a story about a rich socialite can resonate with some one who isn’t). I love how she was able to change because she wanted to and get strength. And Teague is such a fun, grumpy, sexy hero that he is beyond swoon worthy. I can’t wait for this book to come out so I can make all my friends read it! <3

A Five-star read that will tickle you in all the right places. This is number one in the Tickled Pink series, and I can only wait to hear where we will go next, all of the characters of this town are great, but it’s the out of towners are what make it so much fun. This was a great story about finding out where you fit and finding a place that you fit as well. The Lightly family are a crazy bunch, but Phoebe was the one I adored most, her slow burn with Teague, her simple understanding of Bridget, the way she stands proudly in the end, that got me like a sucker punch to the soul. This is a great story and I am excited to see where we will go next.

Things I liked about this book:
Pippa Grant is creating another small town universe.. The characters are well developed and show growth as part of the storyline. The book tackled sensitive topics (or topics that could be labeled controversial) with grace and humor. The fact that everyone has secrets, regardless of how big or important they are is used to build towards the book's conclusion.. As always with Pippa Grant's books, the HEA ties up the loose ends for the the main characters while opening the door to a series of small town love stories.

Things I didn't like about this book:
The town's name - Tickled Pink - feels contrived, especially in conjunction with the movie Pink Gold -that was filmed there. The h shows growth through the entire book, the H only at the very end. It felt like Phoebe had to struggle through so much more than Teague which made the relationship development feel a little lop-sided.

Overall, I enjoyed the book very much and I will certainly read future books by Pippa Grant,

This is not your typical Pippa Grant book. Though it is full of heart it is not full of laughs. This book addresses issues very much in society today that many of us would struggle with. These topics can be heavy but Pippa makes the situations relatable for all of us.

It was a slow start to the book, but once you get to know the characters and situation you fall in love with this little town and all it’s people. I can’t wait for the next one!

As all Pippa books do, this book comes with a beverage warning. Told with her usual dialed to eleven, gut busting hilarious style, she tackles some more serious issues in this one, so the humor is balanced out with a lot of emotion and heart. The town has a marvelous cast of characters that I can't wait to see more of. This series is perfect for fans of Schitt's Creek, and this book in particular will tickle the funny bone of anybody who loves enemies to lovers as a trope.

Fun, flirty and it will bring a smile to your face. Phoebe is from a rich family full of expectations and plenty of press around to document her every step or misstep. When a dinner with her grandmother ends with her grandmother choking, everything changes. Gigi packs up her son, daughter in law and 3 grand children to head to Tickle Pink in an effort to learn to be a good person and make it too heaven. Teague is a fishing lumber Jack that has goats a daughter and an ex wife. When these two meet it is explosive. The journey for Phoebe to be come a better person will have her working hard and surprising herself. Teague is also discovering Phoebe is not what he first thought.
Will they really get to know each other? Would they share there deepest darkest secrets with each other?

I love small town romance and straight away I loved Teague Miller and his group of misfits. What I wasn’t certain about was whether I would be able to overlook Phoebe Lightly and her selfish entitled family’s attitude toward small town life and small town people. It took me a good few chapters to start appreciating their story, and then I was, at points, truly laughing out loud. A sweet, highly emotional story with some wonderful characters, got to say, I loved all the townsfolk (Bridget has a special place in my heart), and their prankish ways, so so funny . I did really enjoy the story and all the banter between Teague and Phoebe was highly entertaining and the chemistry between them was white hot.

The Lightleys are a wealthy entitled bunch. That is, until Grandma (Gigi) has a near death experience. She thinks she went to hell and the entire family is headed there themselves unless they become better people. Gigi forces her family to move to a small town where they are to fix up and move into a condemned school in order gain some humility. Our heroine, granddaughter Phoebe, is determined to get out of all this town. That's where working with local single dad Teague comes in. They butt heads from the start but eventually catch feelings. This initially sounded like an amusing premise. However, I found that Teague was the only character I found myself liking the slightest bit. The Lightleys were all irritating and clueless. Even with the character growth and development that was supposed to occur, I just didn't enjoy them. I wasn't even rooting for the romance to happen. Sorry but I just couldn't get into this one.

Pippa Grant creates unique small towns with characters that are hard to leave when the series ends. The voice of the characters is very comfortable, like talking to a dear friend, which makes the reader become part of the story

In The One Who Loves You, we meet Phoebe Lightly, a member of a family of group of rich, entitled socialites. After a life changing experience, the family matriarch Gigi, moves the entire family to the small town of Tickled Pink to reenact her favorite movie and learn to be better people. From here, we meet Teague Miller who is determined to make sure the Lightlys don’t last long in Tickled Pink and encourages everyone in the town to make sure the family is miserable in the uninhabitable old high school building that was purchased by Gigi for the family to renovate and live in while learning to be better people and save their souls.

In Pippa Grant’s unique and hilarious style, we get a chance to see this family grow and change all while Teague and Phoebe find their way to each other. Pippa Grant has yet again given us a wonderful book so full of humor and real feelings that you’ll laugh until tears run down your legs and then feel everything that the characters are feeling. If you enjoy laugh out loud humor and romance, this is the book for you.

The One Who Loves You is the first book in the Tickled Pink series by Pippa Grant. I have read every book Pippa has written and if you haven't I would highly recommend getting on that, you won’t be sorry. Her books are full of laughter, light and goodness, The One Who Loves You is no exception

Teague Miller Thought he had his life together, friends with his ex-wife and co-parenting their teenager. He thought he needed nothing else in life, until Phoebe walked into his small town with her family along for the ride.

If, like me, you loved Schitt's Creek then you will love this book. It was jam packed full of fun and entertainment throughout. Secrets were spilled and a slow burn attraction between the two. I loved this book and loved every single secondary character and really hope we get more books in this series.

Oh boy, Teague and Phoebe are such opposites and when they first meet they can’t stand each other. As Phoebe’s Grandmother orchestrates her plan Phoebe begins to grow closer to Teague.
Both are hiding some secrets and Phoebe starts to open up to Teague however Teague is keeping secrets of his own and he keeps them close to heart until things come to a head.
This book both tugs at your heart strings but also has a lot of humor too. Great read.

The One Who Loves you is the start to what I'm sure will be another eclectic and interesting small town series from the mind of Pippa Grant. This fish out of water rom-com is filled with fun and mostly lovable characters, crazy antics and of course some kindle melting moments between the rugged grumpy lumberjack fisherman and the upper east side socialite princess.

I'm a huge rom-com fan and Pippa is one of my one-click favorites. So it kind of pains me to say that I was not in love with this book at first- BUT as I kept going the characters grew on me more and I got into the groove of the story. I think since Tickled Pink, Wisconsin is a whole new world/small town for a multi-book series there was a lot of stage setting, especially when it came to the Lightly family and Gigi's iron fist ruling that they had to learn to be better people, that it was hard to connect with the characters- especially Phoebe.

But if anyone can create a story out of a small town whose claim to fame was being the location for an old movie called Pink Gold that a ruthless old billionaire can misconstrue as the literal gates to heaven and be both entertaining and intriguing, it would be Pippa Grant. Phoebe Lightly was not my favorite character- which I'm sure was not done by accident- I couldn't understand her spoiled and ruthless way of life or thinking, but I loved her character development throughout the story. Her journey to be a better person allowed her to finally create some semblance of a real relationship with most of her family members but to also learn the real feeling of belonging and family with the people in town. Teague Miller is not thrilled with the Lightly's coming to his small town and all the drama that could follow them. He intrigued me the most because even when I thought that I understood him, there was that little niggle of doubt that there were more layers and pieces missing to his story. His gruff and grumpy demeanor was nothing more than the armor he wore to protect himself while having you believe it was to protect his town and family.

These two had such an interesting dynamic. There was levels of dislike and distrust but also attraction and something just a little more than. As much as Teague wanted Phoebe gone he was also one of the first ones to give her a hand or facilitate a new experience-even one as small as trying fried cheese curds for the first time. The build up in their relationship was a long one- they created a semi-friendship filled with fun and flirty banter before things finally heat up for the first time and it was well worth the wait.

I can't wait to see what direction the rest of the series will take- I'm hoping we will get to dive more into the other Lightly siblings and the little secrets that were hinted to in this story!

While Pippa Grant's newest book is not quite as "laugh out loud funny" as her independent work, it's still a very solid read.
Phoebe's uber-rich family matriarch has a crisis of conscience and moves the family to small town Tickled Pink, Wisconsin to save their souls. Girl meets boy, hijinks ensue.
For me, this book was a little slower start than Pippa's typical work, but still worth a read. And if you've read Pippa before, you'll definitely appreciate the Easter Eggs sprinkled throughout - here's looking at you, Kangapoo.

The One Who Loves You is about personal growth. The hard truths about recognizing things that you don't like about yourself and the slow process to make corrections. However there are some bada** characters to help the main character Pheobe go through it. You've got a crazy grandma, an awesome teenager with serious spunk, and a grumpy fisherman with a tiny house. You will laugh, snort, and appreciate parallels if you have ever stepped outside your comfort zone in the name of self improvement. Like with all Pippa Grant books, it will grab you and suck you into a town you wish existed.
