I’m not extremely familiar with Pippa Grant, but I was pleasantly surprised by this book! Take spoiled socialite Phoebe and family man Teague and both of their lives get shaken up in a small town of Tickled Pink. It was reminiscent of Schitt’s Creek, and I throughly enjoyed it. There was excellent verbal sparring between characters and the relationship building was paced well. I found this book thoroughly enjoying and I look forward to the next.

The One Who Loves You is an enemies to lovers, single dad romantic comedy. Phoebe’s grandmother has a near death experience and relocates her family from the Upper East Side to a small backwoods town in Wisconsin called Tickled Pink so her family can be better people. Phoebe meets Teague to help convince her family they don’t belong in Tickled Pink until Teague realizes Phoebe is more than a spoiled socialite.
This is a beautiful story watching Phoebe grow and find herself as a person. Teague is also a great character despite his grumpy exterior he is kind enough to give Phoebe a safe place to drop her guard and allow her to be vulnerable. I also love the banter between the characters of Phoebe and her family and Phoebe’s family and the townspeople of Tickled pink. This is a true Pippa Grant book of being a bit weird in a good way. If you have read a Pippa Grant book you know, but if you haven’t read any book by Pippa Grant I recommend you read any one of them. My only dislike of this book is the beginning is a bit chaotic with the story line so intricate and with so many characters I was getting a bit lost of who is who, but I understand the complexity of the story makes a great beginning of a series. Speaking of series, I am hoping Tavi gets her own story. This is feel good sweet and funny romance.

Good light-hearted book with lots of personality. Entertaining small town with unique characters, a very unique storyline and some interesting family dynamics make this a story I won’t soon forget!

I have loved Pippa Grant's books since I found them and her writing, while always entertaining and fun, has also leaned into heartwarming and beautiful while also keeping the hilarious antics I've come to associate with her writing.

Teague and Phoebe have so much chemistry and I loved every scene they were in together. I would real multiple books just in Teague POV though because his inner monologue is hilarious.

I will agree with most of the reviews that when this book starts its hard to get attached to Phoebe but I found the progression of her story from an annoying socialite business woman to this lovable and strong woman to match how I felt about her through the book. It doesn't take long to absolutely adore her! All the secrets involved in this book and the things not directly stated added a great amount to this book and added an emotional rollercoaster to this book!

The book pulled me right in and made me want to stay up all night reading even though the first chapter made me question what was going on. .However, after the first couple chapters I was totally engrossed in the book. There is a dysfunctional family with a matriarch that is difficult, There's a town full of odd people that made me wish for a “village” to live in. There is a love story that is amazing, the Hero and heroine slowly build trust that almost made me believe in trusting. Bottom line - Read this book, I think it’ll touch you in unexpected ways.

I honestly loved this book. Pippa Grant books are on my "instant buy" list because of her humor and the realness of her characters. Her characters in The One Who Loves You are real in so many ways. They admit to their faults and work to become who they want to be; and the supporting cast of town's people are awesome. Bridge almost steals the show. She is absolutely adorable. Pippa's writing style is always full of humor and emotion, making me want to read the whole book in one sitting. I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out.

January has been a rather rough month this year so I needed a pick me up this past weekend. Pippa Grant always succeeds in offering an escape. I’ve read through much of her ice knights and fireball series and I’ve been looking forward to her latest novel The One Who Loves You with Teague and Phoebe is great. If you’re looking for light romantic comedy this is it. I always love the banter between Pippa’s characters and this one is no exception. Phoebe has to learn how to handle small town life after family issues force her to Tickled Pink, WI. Her plan is to leave but then she meets a grumpy single dad Teague. Hilarity ensues and you’ll have to read yourself to learn all about this little town.

I adore this writer and was so excited to get an opportunity to read her newest book early. I have to admit that the beginning was tough for me. However, I am so glad I kept going.
This book has the perfect balance of delight and serious. I wouldn’t call it grumpy/sunshine because it’s more grumpy/type A and a true enemies to lovers. Even though it is a romance, this book had so much about family and how sometimes your family is not your safe space.
Teague was everything I love in a grump as well as a diabolical saboteur.
Phoebe is a Type A spoiled rich girl. She is not a nice person.
The interactions between these 2 just sizzled. They really do not like one another. And to be honest, I didn’t like Phoebe either.
Watching Phoebe learn about herself and lean into the ways she has not been a good person.
There was a twist I didn’t see coming and it made that moment we all dread so much more interesting.
It also opens up a new world with characters who can get their HEA’s.

Phoebe Lightly is a Manhattan socialite who is the top of her social chain. When her grandmother has a near death experience, she forces all the Lightlys to Tickled Pink, Wisconsin for some soul searching. There she meets the grumpy and gruffy Teague who has it out for her from the beginning. But as the two get to know each other, the chemistry they share is undeniable.

I am in love with the town and all of the residents of Tickled Pink. They are all charming and caring and the kind of people you want to surround yourself with. Phoebe is someone anyone can relate to know matter where they are in their life. Phoebe goes through so much in the book and comes out on the other end a happier and better person. Teague is a straight up lumbersnack. I love a grumpy guy and he did not disappoint. Because under that grump is a guy who cares and loves super hard. His daughter Bridget was sassy adorableness and made me laugh a lot throughout the book. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I absolutely loved this book from Pippa grant. It was sweet and funny. She makes you fall in love with all the characters and the town. This book had several things that I didn’t expect in the storyline, which was very refreshing. I can’t wait for the second book in this series to come out! Pippa Grant delivers her usual brand of heart, heat and humor in her new book about a socialite and her family struggling to adapt to rural living in small town Wisconsin. The residents of Tickled Pink are the perfect combination of quirky and endearing, finding entertainment in the toils of the Lightly family while still being caring neighbors and a supportive community. The Lightly family is exactly the kind of dysfunctional that reminds one of a train wreck they just can’t look away from. Phoebe is a refreshing heroine, determined not to change her lifestyle or herself but finds herself inevitably growing as she spends more time away from the shark infested waters of Manhattan high society. Her relationships with her family members are completely relatable, proving that money doesn’t change the issues that come with family.
Our dashing hero, Teague Miller, is a swoon worthy mixture of manliness and sarcasm. He proves to be a down to earth cornerstone of the community, who doles out his own brand of mischief to the out of towners, promising to leave you snorting your drink as you read. His daughter Bridget easily stole the show as a hilariously sassy and emotionally intelligent young woman. I thoroughly enjoyed reading her interactions with Phoebe and her family as well as her father.
The One Who Loves You promises to leave you with the warmth of a long hug while also cackling sadistically as this privileged family endeavors to find their footing in a whole new world at the command of their imperious matriarch grandmother, all in the name of bettering themselves. Pippa proves again her ability to touch readers with her genuine characters. This is a love letter to anyone who has ever struggled with knowing who they are, who they want to be and what they want from life, wrapped up in a package of small town shenanigans and steamy romance. I can’t wait to see what the townies of Tickled Pink have in store for us in the sequel!

Note: I received an advanced copy of the book for review (which made me SOO excited)…side note, Pippa is hands down one of my favorite authors because she consistently delivers snicker out loud, steamy romantic comedy with characters whose journeys to true love can be torturous (for them) and hilarious and heart warming (for us).

It was so easy to fall in love with Tickled Pink, and the people who live in this adorable little town. It’s quite a bit harder to even like the Lightly’s at first glance, but that’s the whole reason Gigi dragged them to Tickled Pink to begin with.
The journey of the grumpiest grump and the snooty socialite is filled with many mishaps along the way, and it had me feeling all of the feelings and has left me with quite the book hangover. I adored every fall into the lake, kitten snuggle, and each time Teague and Phoebe pushed each other to grow and encouraged each other to be better.
Of course, no one is irredeemable in the expert hands (and amazing mind) of Pippa, and several of the unlikable (in the beginning) Lightly’s have started their own journeys to be better people during Phoebe and Teague’s story and show hints of what I hope is to come in this series!

In this new type of series by Pippa Grant, We first meet Phoebe, a self-entitled Upper East Side Socialite who can't be bothered to remember the names of the people who work around her. She basically cares about two things, how the tabloids portray her and what the Matriarch, Gigi thinks about her.

When her grandmother has a near death experience, she decides that the entire family's souls need to be saved. The only way yo do that is to stay in the town of Tickled Pink and retrace the steps of a movie, that was filmed there, where the main character redeemed her soul and went to heaven.

Talk about a school of fish without water. This town is literally in the middle of nowhere. Gigi has made sure the family is without their usual luxuries.

In this town, the person, who really does not what these Socialites there is Teague. He has got to be one of my all time favorite heroes. This is due to his hilarious inner dialogues, the angels on his shoulders that argue and the fact the he can cut Gigi to the quick.

The chemistry between Phoebe and Teague is off the charts. Talk about opposites. However, the more time Phoebe spends in town, the more the town seems to rub off on her. I seems to strip down her layers and make her a likeable person.

Yes the the own has quirky characters, which the author is famous for. Theses characters are also very endearing and you slowly fall in love with the town too

Teague and Phoebe were such a good couple. I loved the sharp Witt and their back and forth banter, I liked how the town, Tickled Pink , all supported each other and all the craziness. A lot of heart in this book. Learning how to just be yourself…

This redemption/acceptance story set in the small town of Tickled Pink is nothing short of amazing. When I first started reading, I was quite put out by Phoebe and the other Lightly snobs. So much so that I almost stopped reading. But I had read this author before and thoroughly enjoyed her books, so I kept going. I am so grateful that I did; if I have stopped, I would have missed one of the best books I've read in months. Phoebe's struggles throughout the book to become a better person feel so genuine, and the fun we as readers get to have while she transforms is a blast. Teague is full of secrets himself, and he is the perfect match for Phoebe. And the climax and resolution...it gave me literal chills. Teague's teenage daughter, Bridget, steals the show with her quick wit and mouthiness. And there are kittens. What more could a rom-com reader possibly ask for?

One of my favorite authors, all grown up. I loved this newest book, a first in her new series. As always, the character community is rounded, diverse and so much fun. There are so many laugh-out-loud scenes and many spots I had to take a laughing break. The interaction between all, especially the two main characters is charming, entertaining and heart felt, along with the drama and angst. Do not miss this one!

The poor-little-rich-entitled-girl getting put in her place in a country town where a twist of fate sets her on a collision course with a grumpy man who just wants to see the back of her sounds like fantasy-fodder. Fish-out-of-water stories are fun and few and far between, so to have ‘The One Who Loves You’ starting out with promising jauntiness and pacing is a huge bonus.

Getting through the small-town bubble of (weird) relationships and quirks is the rocky road that Phoebe Lightly has to walk on, and in doing so, finds out more and more about her not very likeable self and her own motivations in the process. Luckily, Pippa Grant writes a fair bit of self-awareness into Phoebe, presenting her so deliberately in a flawed light and knowing it (knowledgeable, ambitious but flighty as well)—then needing to make up for it is exactly the slice of humble pie that readers not-so-secretly want their characters to gobble down. As stereotypical as she might be panicking over first-world issues, Phoebe’s self-improvement/actualisation journey happens from the start, and proves to be an entertaining bit of the book, the dysfunction in the Lightly family and within the town of Tickled Pink itself notwithstanding.

Still, I remained somewhat undecided about Phoebe and Teague as a couple, even if their banter was a way of furthering their relationship, which did seem too surface-level at times. The introduction of so many characters at the start also dimmed the intensity and the salty chemistry between Teague and Phoebe a bit; it got harder to keep up with the dialogue as their connection waned and waxed as I started skimming at the parts Phoebe’s inner monologue got hysterical and rambly. Overall, I did think ‘The Who loves You’ needed a lot more investment than I normally give a story that felt like it could have been a tad bit shorter and less roundabout. It’s by no means bad storytelling obviously but rather reader-fatigue that set in early for me.

Y’all I NEEDED a romantic comedy in my life when I snatched this book up for review. Anyone who’s read a Pippa Grant book knows she has a zany, sometimes outrageous brand of humor and some really unique characters. This book is no different. I know with all the cutesy covers floating around Romancelandia nowadays anything labeled as a romantic comedy is given the side-eye, so I was thankful for the hot guy cover and that The One You Who Loves You gave me exactly what I expected… laugh out loud moments with a great emotional payoff.

The entire premise of this book revolves around a billionaire family whose matriarch (after almost choking to death on a piece of Kobe beef) has moved them to the small town of Tickled Pink in order to save their souls. Why Tickled Pink? Because it was the location of a movie that featured a woman doing good deeds in order to get into Heaven. Does this have a Schitt’s Creek feel? Yes and no. These are truly entitled, snobby people, and some of them have very few redeeming qualities, but rather than be forced here because of losing their fortune, these people still have money… but the one holding the strings is determined to make them suffer their way into heaven.

The heroine is Phoebe Lightly, who finds her true self in Tickled Pink, and being in her head was actually kind of fun. Phoebe’s one goal in life has been to be the first Lightly to be CEO of the family company since her great grandfather. She’s driven, and like any true Lightly does not fail. Yes, she takes shortcuts and has a bunch of people to do her bidding at every turn, but she knows how to claw her way to the top and stay there. Then she arrives in Tickled Pink after her grandmother’s near-death experience and it is literal hell on earth. There is no way she can stay in a rundown, abandoned high school, be expected to clean said high school, in a town with bad coffee, no wifi, and the annoying Teague Miller.

Teague loves his life in Tickled Pink. It’s a wonderful small town with truly colorful characters. He’s a fisherman, goat farmer, and apparently dabbles in real estate and helps run the town. He and his ex-wife are actually friends and together with her wife raise their daughter in peace and under the radar. The money gotten from the sale of the old high school should be enough to fix the old bridge and maybe resurface some roads, but he still wants the Lightlys gone. So he reluctantly makes a deal with Phoebe to make life for her family so difficult in town that they will voluntarily leave. The last thing he needs is for their notoriety to be the cause for the press to show up.

There are so many things to like about this book. The comedy is top-notch. There are just so many scenes of ridiculousness that I couldn’t help but laugh as Phoebe and her family fumble their way to being better people. It doesn’t take Pheobe long to realize that she doesn’t like who she is, and she’s not a very good person. Of course, Phoebe is more than her spoiled brat exterior and Teague is sympathetic to her growing pains. Because he has his own issues with his family and the past. It made me smile to watch them slowly become friends and then burn up the pages together as Phoebe goes on a journey to find herself and what makes her happy.

But this book is more than its comedy and laugh-out-loud moments. There are some real and important themes addressed and this author handles them with care. There is a transgender character who stole my heart. I just loved her so much. Her courage and absolute certainty about who she is stand out as Phoebe and the rest of her family struggle day to day to figure out that same thing. This is absolutely a book about choices and learning to be the best version of yourself. About figuring out what makes you happy and living that life even though that might mean changing every part of your current circumstances. It’s heartfelt and sweet, funny, sexy, and endearing all at the same time. I really enjoyed.

Another great book! Pippa never disappoints! It took me a bit to like Teague but once I did I fell hard. At first I thought he was a little too hard on Phoebe but it ended up being just what she needed. I loved watching her grow into her own awesome self. I thought I had the book all figured out early on but then the secrets are dropped and BAM! I was wrong. 🤯 I can't wait to read more from Tickled Pink and Pippa Grant!!

I absolutely loved this book, the small town vibe, the characters and of course the romance. Being from Wisconsin myself I felt that Tickled pink was like many of the small towns throughout Wisconsin and could relate. Wonderful read!
