This is the comprehensive book about Roblox; the creator and his story behind, the evolution of the game, what to expect when playing the game, As I comprehend, Roblox is a place that you can play some games. Some are free, but there are some that you have to pay money, to get access, for example. There are games you can exclusively play with your friends, and there are games you can play by yourself, meeting other gamers. This is also a game where parents can have a say, and restrict some boundaries to keep their children safe from the internet dangers.

Aah, Roblox, my favourite game. How Rob has to get his hands on the lovely, tasty salmon dish, in front of all the other players... Oh, my bad. I mean, I'm certainly not the age Roblox is aimed at, and that's the key here – given the option, I am sure many young readers picking their non-fiction books for themselves would go for some subject they know enough about already – a book that reinforces their kinship with the topic. And I don't mind if they turn to this, to learn a bit about the history of the enterprising app/game host/developing tool thingy. Especially as American kids, according to the stats herein, spend far too much time in that world anyway. As elsewhere in this small series, each spread is fifty per cent pictorial and up thirty per cent box-out or caption, making the main narrative very bitty at times but perfectly easy to absorb – especially if you're one of the millions of converted already.

This book is awesome! It gives all of the background information about Roblox including: how to play, the history of the game including who created it and how it became popular, interesting tips and tricks, cool facts and anything else you might need to know about the game. Using pictures, text boxes and other non-fiction text features, this book is set up for readers to learn and research. It would be a great high interest book for reluctant readers and a great chance to introduce readers to non-fiction texts. As a Grade 3 teacher I would 100% recommend this book to other teachers in this grade level and I'm excited to check out the rest of the series! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!

There is a good example of what it is like playing the game to start the book. It gives the history, basics, has a did you know section. This could be used for text features in an elementary classroom because it has bolded words, captions, and side bars. I think kids would enjoy this book.

Thank you Norwood Press and Netgalley for letting me read this copy but my thoughts are my own.

My 11 years old son loves Roblox so much. He playing this game daily, and I am curious what make game that look like Lego and so simple with graphic capable mesmerized him. That's why I decided read this book together with him to get real opinion from real target of this book too.

This short book give us glimpse about the idea of why Roblox being create, plenty history of the creator and company growing, the goal of the game to provide entertainment and education for kids, and the statistic of players. They offer us to visit Roblox website for more information too. The informations it self are interest but very basic and short. We wish more details about the game information. Or at least tips for beginner player. This book feel like read prologue of the book and we as reader still need to read the next chapter.

Good book. I wanted to read this because my daughter loves to play Roblox. It was very interesting to learn it begin because the developer wanted to teach kids about physics. It's got a lot of information about the game and the game history which was interesting to me. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about the game.

I decided to review this book when it came up in my feed because I know how much my 10-year old grandson enjoys playing Roblox. After I read it, I also showed it to him without commentary to see what he as the intended target audience thought about it. Interestingly, our thoughts coincided.

The book is good if all you want is information. However, I felt (and my grandson agrees) that the book would be really strengthened if it also included some practical information and tips for the game itself. Instead, at the back of the book, the reader is pointed to websites. NOTE: These were websites with which my grandson (and most, if not all other players) was already familiar. In addition, you could probably get much, if not all, of the information in the book on the internet. So, while the book is okay, it is not something on which I would spend money.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by the publisher and Net Galley but the thoughts expressed are my own.
