I absolutely adored this book, just like absolutely everything else Summer Dowell has given the world.

If I had to read the same trope for the rest of my life enemies to lovers would be it, so when I found out the third book of the Wedding Business series was E2L I knew it was going to be my favorite of the bunch. I am so glad Summer didn’t disappoint.

This book was everything I’ve come to expect from Summer; sweet sarcastic comedy that had me swooning throughout. Toss in a puppy rescue and I was hooked.

“It’s official. Flannel is my love language.”

I’m sad to see the end of this sweet, funny series.
We met Avery in the previous two books, but we finally get her love story in On Schedule. I loved the enemies to friends to more. I loved seeing elements of Hope and Haley and the friendship these three women share.

This series is closed door but the characters have great chemistry and banter. Avery is a wedding planner and Tyler, a wedding photographer. They get off on the wrong foot but are thrown together when a bride wants her whole wedding planning process documented. There is a cute dog named Elvis and lots of sweet interactions between Tyler and Avery. I loved meeting his whole family.

Story Notes

This story was so much fun to read. I loved getting to know Avery better and to finally see her meet her match in Tyler. He bugs her in all the right ways and she does the same for him in turn. Their banter is snappy, snarky and just the right amount of flirty without crossing the line into meanness. It was also interesting to see a bit more into her wedding planning business. I've planned and coordinated several weddings for friends and family and am currently doing the same for my cousin. It's not easy getting all those choices made and still keeping everyone smiling. But clearly both Avery and Tyler needed to be pushed beyond their own expectations and attitudes so they could see that different doesn't mean bad. Tyler's family is a hoot and just the kind of people I'd love to spend a holiday with. They are all up in each other's business and I love it - so very much like my own family that I found myself reminiscing this past Christmas and all it's crazy. And while Avery's family did things differently, they still prioritized family and togetherness, though in an unusual way. I wish there had been a bit more about Avery and her misconceptions about her parents though what was told was pretty informative. I'm just a lover of good backstories so I want ALLLLLL the details, haha! I'm definitely highly recommending this book for others to read. It was funny, swoony and engaging from start to finish. Well done, Summer!!

‘On Schedule’ is a cute enemies to lovers dual POV revolving around a wedding and a rescue dog. I love the differences in the families, the slow evolution of Avery and Tyler’s relationship, and the arcs of both.
I loved Tyler and his family, and esp in the Thanksgiving scene.

The ‘let’s do this->nevermind’ scenes were very quick. I wish it was a little more dragged out. Act three sped up after that and then it was over.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. The writing and humor are great. The storyline is a trope-y hallmark rom com romp with two characters you can root for. It’s the perfect light, romance read.

I didn’t know this was book 3 in the series, and I’d love to read the other two.

On Schedule by Summer Dowell was a delight to read from page one. It's loaded with chemistry and humor, which combine to make an entertaining rom com. As a wedding planner, Avery is a bit of a workaholic, but she's also skilled, determined, and an incredible advocate for those she cares about. Tyler is creative and kind-hearted, even if his opinions can get him into trouble at times. Together, these two have a wonderful dynamic that I thoroughly loved reading. Also, there's a puppy named Elvis that was easily my favorite character. I mean, how can you not love a puppy wearing flannel? This book was a great addition to Dowell's Wedding Business series and perfect for clean contemporary romance fans.

*Thank you to Summer Dowell and Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This was a quick and simple read, full of nice and poignant moments between Tyler and Avery, two workaholics who don't have time for romance. Or so they believe. They are forced to get to know each other due to a succession of wedding appointments.

Despite their difficult start, they are forced to get to know each other through a series of wedding appointments, and they both find that first impressions aren't always accurate.

It was gentle and charming, and I enjoyed reading from both perspectives and hearing about their mutual longings. It made me want to smush their noses together and force them to kiss despite their obstinacy. Furthermore, the dog plot was really adorable, and each scene made my heart melt. I liked how I didn't have to suffer through all of their own character struggles for too long, and how the ending was just as sweet as the rest of the novel.

This one was a fun and easy read. It was also heart-warming, witty, it made me laugh and swoon. I liked the sarcasm and all the cute scenes between Avery and Tyler. Tyler is such a cutie, I loved everything about him. I like how Avery at the end realized that she should fight for her own happiness. Work is not always that important and I get her fear of becoming like her parents.
Still, I felt like I was missing something. I wanted to know more about Avery's fears about becoming as her parents. I felt like everything was explained with a sentence and it moved to the next scene with Tyler. I wanted to read a bit more about Avery, her friendship with the girls and her own thoughts. Also, I feel like the last two chapters were written just like that to finish the book.
I haven't read the first two books, but since I liked this one I think I'll read them.

Cute, cute, cuuuuuteee read. I’m so glad I was able to read this ARC in the month of February. On Schedule is a lighthearted, romantic comedy. It will leave you laughing and frustrated with the main characters at the same time.

Avery is a type A, workaholic with a thriving wedding planning business. She has no time for a relationship, especially with a flannel loving, sarcastic, hunky photographer. There’s no way there would be anything between them, until she and Tyler are forced to work closely together for months on a wedding.

I loved the story and found the characters highly entertaining. I knew from the get go something was going to happen, but it took so long to get there. I found myself mostly frustrated with the back and forth, but that’s the premise of a slow build. Definitely a book a enjoyed!

A cliché romance with some predictable moments, an ideal read for when you need something that doesn't demand too much from you as reader.
A short novel, but very well structured, with a fluid and appealing writing, the breath of fresh air I was really needing while reading two heavier fantasy books! The characters are well built, with the right depth and balance considering the story itself and the size of the book, which surprised me a lot in a positive way. In terms of description, it gets a little lost, which I think is normal and didn't affect the reading experience too much. It's not something I particularly like, as it does affect the visualization of events a bit, but that's understandable in smaller books because the spatiality ends up not being the most relevant part. I loved seeing the development of the relationship between Avery and Tyler, a very slow burn romance... I loved the natural way in which the characters gradually went towards each other, the way they gave in to their feelings, as something inevitable and out of their control. How in the beginning there was animosity that turned into friendship and then evolved into something more, it's not exactly enemies-to-lovers but it conveys a similar feeling, it's like friends-to-lovers with something more. But I feel too much time was wasted around the development and admission of feelings and then there are too few moments of the actual romance. One of the things that caught my attention the most on the cover was the little dog and halfway through the story all I could think of was at what point he would show up, until he did and he was the sweetest thing ever! Little Elvis and the role he takes in the characters’ lives! 🥺 Avery's friends as well, as secondary characters, are very well fitted in and left me wanting to read the books revolving around them immensely. The blind dates they set up for Avery provided the funniest moments in this book, my only regret is that the third date that was part of the pact between them never happened ahahahah. Also, special shoutout to Tyler's family are also secondary characters that I loved, especially the way they interacted with Avery.
A very light and enjoyable read, nothing wow but it held me in each of its pages!

Avery is a no nonsense, workaholic wedding planner who doesn’t have time for a relationship, no matter how many Hallmark movie romances her friends try and recreate in her life. And she really doesn’t appreciate it when she hears Tyler, a photographer, criticizing her venue idea to her bride at a meeting. Plus, who wears flannel shirts in California?

The third and final book in The Wedding Business series was really cute! I have loved each book in this standalone series! This is one of those books where you know the people would be so great together, and you just can’t wait until they realize it. I love Summer’s writing - she never fails to make me laugh! I can’t wait to see what she writes next!

“Flannel is my love language” says Avery, as she swoons over Tyler in this enemies to lovers, forced proximity romance. I love Summer Dowell’s books and have loved every story in the Wedding Business series. This is a fun, clean romance full of banter between our two leads. Avery is a sweet but workaholic wedding planner while Tyler is a plaid wearing, laid back photographer. They’re both working the same wedding and while things don’t start on the right foot, they’re both definitely walking the same path on their feelings for each other. There’s lots of humor in between the heat that develops between Avery and Tyler (pun intended). I couldn’t get enough of the dark room scene. To add sugar to this sweet story, we get a cute little puppy!

4.5 stars

Avery is a hard-working wedding planner; she likes to stick to her schedule and doesn't like anything to interrupt that and she doesn't have time for love. After meeting with her new client and the photographer, Avery realizes she has her hands full and can't stop thinking about the handsome flannel-loving photographer. The photographer Tyler loves his job and after meeting with the bride and her planner he finds it difficult not to start pushing Avery's buttons to try to get her to let down her walls a little and have a little fun. After a while of slowly learning to communicate and getting along, a cute little Elvis helps get them to be closer than they had originally planned. Avery is afraid of falling and turning into her parents and Tyler is unsure what she is so scared of.
This book is a light-hearted romantic read, there is a little bit of banter throughout and a lot of emotions and uncertainties from both characters. I read this book in a day it is super quick. You will want to know what happens especially after meeting Elvis that was when I got hooked. I do love both characters too but I enjoyed Tylers POV a little more.

Thank you, Net Galley, and the publisher for the ARC for an honest review.

~4.5⭐Rating~

Avery lives and breaths her wedding planning business so when some know it all - to cute for his own good photographer tries to plant doubt in the mind of one of her brides Avery is all out be avoid him at all costs, well this shouldn’t be an issue after all a wedding planner and photographer don’t really interact with each other aside from the actual day off. Right? Yeah, nope. Fresh out of luck it would seem that Avery is in store for a whole lot of Tyler times, especially now that the bride has decided she wants the entire wedding planning proses to be captured! With her plate full the last thing Avery has time for is to pay babysitter to Tyler or much less have these very annoying feelings for him to start to develop!

..

There is just something about the wedding romance trope that always gets me and this is definitely the case with On Schedule. I loved every moment of this banter full romcom and getting to see our leading couple try to hold their very evident feelings at bay. Add in the fact that there was a super cute pup and this book had me hooked!

..

Avery was such an amazing lead female character, I loved her drive and passion for creating the most perfect day possible for her brides. I loved getting to see her have that light bulb moment and realise that she doesn’t have to be all work and that she can make time for her own happiness. But gosh I just loved see her with Tyler, these two had the perfect amount of sassy banter that made you want to push them together. Also how incredibly cute was their co-parenting the pup? I loved that Avery got so invested in Elvis, so much so that she got him doggy sweaters to match Tyler!

..

Oh good gosh, Tyler! I just loved this guy, right from getting of to the wrong start all the way to bring Elvis home, Tyler had my heart swooning. I loved his laid back chilled vibe and that he just couldn’t help but be pulled to Avery, even his camera could not get enough of her. I loved the entire Thanksgiving bit with his family and how natural it felt to have Avery with them.

..

It would be a total miss if I didn’t mention Haley and Hope and their dismal attempts to try and set Avery up for to have her very own Hallmark love story, these two were just hilarious. I totally loved that while her friends were trying to give her this Hallmark romance it was all unfolding so naturally right there with Tyler!

..

On Schedule is a definite must read, this book is filled with laughs, swoons and an oh so cute puppy! If you are looking for a feel good Hallmark style romcom then this is the book for you!

In this book we encounter the story about Avery, a wedding planner and Tyler a photographer whose path crosses when both have to work in a wedding together.

Avery is not looking for live at the moment since she's all about her job but when Tyler appears in her life and after a rough start, sparks appear.

This was a fun, cheesy, quick book to read perfect when you're looking for a rom com. It can be read as a stand alone even tho it's the last in a trilogy since every story is different so you won't miss out anything.

I found the relationship between the characters very sweet and funny like it was out of a Hallmark movie.

I really enjoyed the writing style and even tho there were some passages that were a little bit tedious to me, in general it was very fluid and with lots of dialogs.

Once again Summer Dowell has hit it out of the park! When I read her books, I know I’m going to get sweet, swoony romance, lighthearted banter, lots of funny moments, snark and fantastic chemistry. This book was no exception. I loved watching the relationship between Avery and Tyler grow and change and see how they were able to eventually let their guard down. Overall, this was a really fun book that anyone who enjoys clean, sweet romance will love. I definitely recommend it!

You don't know how happy I am that I discover this amazing author. I'm going to start binge reading her books sooo bad.
Thank you so much for giving me an ARC of this book I really enjoy reading it.
It was a slow burn and it's also beautiful written.
Avery is a wedding planner and Tyler is a photographer.
It was hate at first sight, I swear but throughout the whole story you can't help but smile and feel all the butterflies in your stomach as the story develops.
I'm giving this a 5 star because the author didn't just capture my attention but it's mostly because of Elvis 😊😄

This is book 3 in The Wedding Business series.

This book features Avery who is a wedding planner and Tyler who is a wedding photographer.

Avery is working for a bride who wants to capture every moment of her wedding... including all the planning parts so she hires Tyler to photograph it all. Avery and Tyler meet (in a hilaruously funny meeting) and they do not get off on the right foot. Of course due to their forced proximity while planning this wedding... they end up spending alot of time together and well... their opinions of eachother may change.

This was a very sweet and clean romance. Id recommend it to anyone who likes fun, sweet closed door romances. But know that though it is closed door, it definitely doesnt lack the sexual tension. And If you read this, you may just have a new book boyfriend *swoon*.

Read if you like:

Funny banter
Forced proximity
Enemies to lovers
Bad blind dates
Hunky photographers
A cute puppy named Elvis
The sweetest male lead
Just kissing
Plaid shirts

Thank you to the publisher and @netgalley for the digital ARC of this book. All opinions remain my own as always.

"Tyler is a sarcastic comment followed by a warm smile. A salty bowl of popcorn paired with a sugary soda."
"Instead of looking offended, Tyler's face fills with that smile that could make a woman want to start picking out curtains."
Avery is a dedicated wedding planner, with spreadsheets and checklists galore. Tyler is a photographer, whose newest client has an unusual request: film her and her fiancee's entire wedding preparation. The only problem is it puts him in continual contact with Avery, who he inadvertently offended when they first met. As their sharp remarks turns to interested questions, they find there is more to each other than they originally expected. And as their feelings grow, they have to decide if love is worth the risk of adjusting, of compromise, and of failure.
Summer Dowell has been on my list of authors I would love to try, and this book was a perfect opportunity. I could not get over how much I loved it right from the start. I was laughing out loud within the first couple of pages, and looked forward to each opportunity to read it. Avery and Tyler were so fun to get to know and their witty banter and sarcasm was such a joy! Avery's relationships with her friends was something else I really enjoyed. Finally, Avery's relationship with Tyler's family was something else I loved!
You won't want to miss this wonderful story! I can't wait to read more of Summer Dowell! I'm officially a fan!

On Schedule is without a doubt a funny, swoon-worthy, and sarcastic book. I loved all the characters (especially the bride-to-be) and the main characters' interactions were very funny. Also - that dark room scene - WOW!

If you like romance, saving puppies and funny couples you will like this book!
