Okay, first things first, does anyone else find themselves constantly wanting to change careers when you hear about the cool ones characters do in books? I always find myself drawn to a characters careers and interests, if they have unique, or fund careers/interests, I enjoy the characters more. Summer Dowell does a great job here, Avery is a wedding planner and Tyler is a photographer. They were so into their jobs that I had myself reconsidering a new field of work!

On Schedule is considered book 3 in the Wedding Business series, but they are only companion novels, and are good to read alone. I hadn't read Summer's other books, but I am going back to check them out so I could find out Haley and Hope's loves stories too!

I loved Avery and Tyler so much. Summer writes excellent banter between the two and you could see them falling for each other, before they realized what happened. I enjoy a dual perspective point of view and loved seeing the story unfold from both points of view. It keeps us in on a bit of a secret about what was happening between the two people. I also really liked how driven both characters were and them both coming to terms with the fact that being driven doesn't mean you can't have someone in your life, more that you need someone that will support that drive.

My favourite moments in this book were with Elvis (the dog they found). He stole the show for me and I loved how much both Avery and Tyler loved Elvis and that brought them together even more. I also loved that both Avery and Tyler confided in Elvis and processed their emotions that way. It made both characters more relatable.

This was a fun, quick read and I enjoyed it. I am going to check out the other two in this series as well, and you should check out On Schedule if you like fun, laughable, sweet romances. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an open and honest review. All opinions are 100% mine.

Reader’s Notes:
- this is book 3 of a series, but you do not need to read the others to understand this one
- this is told from both Avery and Tyler’s points of view

Review:
I’ve been interested in reading some of Summer Dowell’s books and just haven’t had the opportunity to pick one up until now, and I am so excited to get to all of her other stories when I can! This one was so sweet, cute, and funny! I loved Tyler and Avery so much! I loved their banter and their run-ins with Avery’s two best friends. Those two ladies were as subtle as a freight train which was hilarious to see from both Avery and Tyler’s viewpoints once they realized what the friends were doing. And I can’t forget about the pup they find! Every scene with him was adorable, even if it was Avery or Tyler talking to him about the other person. 😍

Avery is a very busy wedding planner who doesn’t have the time for a serious relationship. But after watching one too many Hallmark movies her friends decide that she is the perfect Hallmark heroine and they must set her up to find her happily ever after. Though they don’t seem to be that great at matchmaking, Avery may have found the guy of her dreams on her own. If only she can get past her worries and doubts about any relationship she is a part of...
Tyler is an accomplished photographer who accepted a new type of wedding photography job, one that entails photographing all aspects of the wedding, including the planning. On this job he meets Avery, and though they start off on the wrong foot he is determined to try and fix it. After some time, he realizes that Avery is not who he first thought but that he really likes the person she truly is. Though similar to Avery, he feels that he doesn’t have the time for a serious relationship. It with his feelings growing with each passing day, he realizes he can’t stand by and let the best person he’s ever met pass him by. Will she let him in?
