5 star read- such a detailed extensive and well researched book detailing the wartime spy career of Mathilde Carré aka "the Cat" and Agent Victoire. Such an interesting read

Totally recommend to all who like war books!

While I can't deny how well written and researched this was, I felt little to no connection to Mathilde. It felt more like someone was recounting key moments in her life, rather than painting a full picture of who she was. Her life was undeniably interesting and certain chapters or stories did have me entertained, I just wish I loved it more.
