A definite light hearted holiday read. Lydia has too much to drink on the last night of her holiday in Greece with her two best friends and has no recollection of getting a name tattooed on her back. Lydia’s boyfriend back in England is not a nice character and I was cheering her on as she walked out and decided to go back to Greece to try and track down the mystery man whose name was tattooed on her back.

As well as the beautiful descriptive writing about the scenery and food in Kefalonia there are laugh out loud moments to enjoy. Yes the ending is predictable but there is so much to enjoy along the way.

Take a Chance on Greece is such a charming, delightful, uplifting and feel-good read. I absolutely enjoyed reading every bit of this story. It's not all about finding love though, Lydia learns a lot about herself too in the process. Her friends are always by her side, checking up on her every day, helping her with dating tips and all that. Then there is Alexis - he was being such a cutie-pie, I tell you.

Lydia breaks up with her toxic boyfriend/boss and goes to Greece in search of Awesome Andreas. Alexis, a local bookstore owner and later, Lydia's friend, helps her in finding her 'awesome Andreas.' Andreas is quite a common name in Greece so Lydia pings a random Andreas on Facebook, asking him out for coffee. He turns out to be 'Arrogant Andreas.' Then comes another Andreas - creepy-and-already-married Andreas. And then some more!

Just when Lydia thinks she's finally met THE Andreas, she realizes she's falling for Alexis.

Almost at the end, we have a twist in the story. This was quite a shocking and unexpected development. I was like, "uh-oh, someone's in trouble!" but thank goodness things turned out to be fine.

Absolutely fantastic writing and likable characters. If you are looking for a delightful summer read, you must give Take a Chance on Greece by Emily Kerr a read. Highly recommended!

On a holiday with friends on the Greek Island of Kefalonia, Lydia ends up with a tattoo saying Awesome Andreas on her lower back. After a quick break up with her boyfriend back home, Lydia heads back to Greece ti find out who Andreas is.

Lydia was quite a hard character for me to like, even though I wanted to. I just felt like she made some awful decisions and didn't act like she actually would have done. Some aspects of the story just didn't ring true to me and it made it hard for me to warm towards her.

The descriptions of Kefalonia were wonderful though and absolutely made it somewhere I wanted to visit.

Sadly, it just didn't grip me as much as I wanted it to.

Well this is the perfect holiday read! The depiction of Kefalonia were so amazing I felt I wanted to go there immediately even though I was on the beach in Turkey reading this.

Yes, it was a little farfetched but I liked the characters so much I didn't really care, in fact I miss them now.

My thanks to Netgalley for a really enjoyable read.

A light easy read. Lydia and her friends go on a girls holiday trip to Greece. On their way back on the flight, to her horror she discovers that she has a tattoo on her lower back.
On returning back to her boyfriend she panics what to tell him. But her circumstances change with him and on a whim she knows she needs to go back to find 'Awesome Andrais'.
In her persuit, Lydia makes lots of new friends, one in particular Alexis, begins to teach her Greek and helps her move forward with her quest.

Who was Andreas and what makes him so awesome that Lydia had his name tattooed on her back on her last night on the gorgeous Greek island of Kefalonia while she was there with her girlfriends? Well, he must be better than her stodgy and controlling boyfriend. In an impulsive and totally uncharacteristic move, she ditches London and heads back to Greece, where she gets a job cleaning a hotel and sets out to find Andreas. Oh the atmosphnerics- the food, the people! No spoilers from me but this has some very funny and a few cringy moments. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A fun summer read.

Such a cute summer read. A funny look at Lydia tramping all over her Greek island looking for the Awesome Andreas that she drunkenly has tattooed on her back! The hunt sees the end of her boring U.K. boyfriend, her job and she finds peace as she searches. A real page turner as I read on to find out who Awesome Andreas is and whether he really is the one for Lydia. A great glimpse of the beauty to be found on the Greek coast too,

Can I start by saying I have harped on about this book to several people already, and I only finished it yesterday night!
A real feel good funny romantic comedy where we find our hapless heroine, Lydia on her way back from a holiday with friends to find she has brought back more than just a tan from Kefalonia!
A tattoo with the name of a mysterious, but apparently 'awesome' man, leads her to finish a relationship that was going g nowhere, and head back to the Greek island, where she goes on a huge adventure to find this man.
Lots of hiccups, but she finds friends, a job, and in the end, love!
Really fun!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK. One More Chapter for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is perfect summer reading: clear skies, crystal waters and romance with a great cast and story. It’s compulsive reading, or perhaps you’d call it escapism and particularly for lovers of the Greek Islands. Set in Kefalonia, the theme is set when one of the three best friends finds that on her last night of her holiday she acquired a tattoo but has no recollection of how this came about. On returning home to the UK, Lydia moved into her boyfriend’s apartment, only to discover what a controlling influence he had had on her life and work. As the story goes, she felt there was only one course of action open to her, which was to return to Kefalonia and find the person whose name she bore tattooed on her back, the Awesome Andreas.

A predictable story, but nevertheless full of fun and the intrigue.

My thanks to NetGalley and the publishers Harper Collins One More Chapter for this advance copy.

This is a perfect read to take on holiday and relax with.
It is very easy to like the characters and to become involved with their lives.
Set in Greece, this makes it an ideal sun lounger read or for those of us stuck at home, an ideal wish I was there book!

An easy read, perfect for a sun lounger, particularly in Greece! The characters are likeable, it's a harmless holiday read; nothing groundbreaking - although I did like the revelation at the end and it is easy to get swept up into.

Quite an easy read book. Lydia and her friends have been on holiday in Kefalonia and in the flight home she discovered she’s had a tattoo done on her back saying Awesome Andreas. She doesn’t remember getting it done or any Andreas. Back in England she realises her life isn’t going anywhere so I’m a whim flies straight back to try and gone this Andreas. She meets Alexis who agrees to help her. She gets a job cleaning in his sisters hotel. One thing I didn’t understand was there was much made of the first Andreas being a grocer but when she meets him nothing is mentioned of it at all. Just about how muscular he is. There are no end of false starts but in the end the truth comes out and happiness ensues

This is a quick fun read with likable characters. The author is talented and gifted at writing a cannot put down story...a light afternoon read...enjoyable...delightful...the setting is a great part of the story. This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review. Grab the book, get a warm and cozy afghan, a cup of steaming hot tea...cuddle up and journey with the protagonist...have fun.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Lydia enjoys her carefully ordered life. She wakes up one morning with a tattoo that has a man's name. She decides to try and find him. She drank alot that night and can't remember what he looks like. I enjoyed her quest to find him.

This a perfect beach read! Not like all the normal romance novels, however it does well! Enjoyed the read.

Not the story you would expect but I loved it. A drunken night went wrong but it led to a brilliant love story and the confidence to walk away from a controlling person. The food descriptions were lovely and the descriptions of Kefalonia . Makes you want to visit . An ace read. Loved the book shop. A must read

I Loved the bravery of Lydia, who leaving her job and boyfriend to go and find out about a tattoo she had done on a drunken night during her holiday is great!
Well written with humour, this is a proper feel good holiday read.

A drunken night leads to a tattoo which changes Lydia's life. First she splits with her boyfriend, quits her job and return to the vacation spot where she got the tattoo to look for Andreas, the name on the tattoo and a man she only recalls feeling a deep connection to. It is a good story though I was eh on the premise. Overall a nice read.
