Another gloriously sweeping romantic read from best selling author Bella Osborne. Bella has been one of my favourite authors for such a long time. Her books are so feel good and romantic and this one is no exception. It really made me smile from ear to ear. I loved it. Beautiful

I love the humour embedded within this fabulous book as well as the romance threaded throughout. It makes you laugh out loud (the hen party in particular and the bridesmaid dress fiasco!). It is the perfect wedding themed book that is a winner to read all year round.

A fun, lighthearted book about, friends, family, and bridal fashion. Ella sweeps us into her hectic world. We see her step out to fulfill her dreams, support her friends, and fight for her family. All while finding true love.

Loved this book! It has it all; great characters, romance, friendships, bridezillas, heart-stopping drama, and humour. It’s also a story of moving forward and taking a chance on a new future. Ella is always the bridesmaid and never the bride, and seems to be a bit of a doormat in her job doing alterations in a bridal shop. With the help of her friends, family and new boyfriend Kit, Ella is able to leave the job behind and start a new venture.

A wedding at Sandy Cove

Ella is a seamstress who is over worked and under appreciated in a local bridal salon. Her boss is the worst but Ella enjoys making bride’s feel beautiful with her alterations. Ella has a meet cute with Kit, who owns a construction company and takes care of his four year old nephew too.

Lucy is a divorce lawyer, and Ella’s friend, who finds herself involved in an interesting divorce settlement involving a missing child.

I enjoyed this story but was definitely more interested in Lucy’s story than Ella’s. No spoilers though.

This was a good light beach read. Just kissing (low steam). Lots of will they, won’t they going. Plus a cute plot line involving the parents and their crazy love lives.

3.5 stars

I received an advanced reader copy of this title from Avon Books UK and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This book was released in four parts - a lot of authors do this now so four novellas are released over time which combine to make a complete story. I was lucky enough to read all four parts in one sitting so, did not have to wait to see how the story unfolded. Unlike other books released in instalments I did not feel that this story kept repeating itself to update you on the previous tittles. I find this a problem with the books released this way so this was a refreshing change. The story revolves around Ella who is a seamstress in a wedding dress shop. Her boss is an absolute horror, she has been unlucky in love and whilst waiting for a blind date to turn up she catches her dad on a date with someone other than her mum.
When the son of her fathers date suggests she not only consider working for herself but, help him to derail the relationship between her dad and his mum a whole series of events unfold which turn Ella's life upside down.
A really enjoyable read where you are rooting for everything to turn out well for Ella.

A perfect uplifting summer read. Kit and Ella team up when they see his mum and her dad on a date, friendship turns to love and Ella finally stands up to her boss Wanda. Lucy and her mum sort out their issues and Issac and Rufus are so cute. Well written story that makes you smile.

Bella is one of my go-to authors so I could guarantee this would be a winner way before I'd even started turning the pages.

Previously released as a four part novella series, now available as a single book.

Beautifully written, with a highly enjoyable storyline centering around Ella and her best friend Lucy, focusing on friendships, family, romance and second chances.

Sandy Cove sounds gloriously idyllic, and Bella's vivid descriptions make the scenes come to life.

A Wedding at Sandy Cove is an uplifting romance read, full of drama, fun and those bridesmaid's dresses!

Many thanks to Rachel's Random Resources for my tour spot.

Wow. Another gripping read from Bella Osborne. I loved the transformation of Ella from doormat to fully independent woman and her friendship with the girls. Her slow burn romance with Kit was sweet and just as I thought I knew where i was, the book turned into high drama and tension. Really liked Lucy and her relationship with her mum. My favourite book so far this summer.

Oh I've wanted to read a Bella Osborne book for so long but for some reason I've just never gotten around to it. I CANNOT wait to read more from her after this one.

This book had so much packed into it I just couldn't put it down. I expected like a cosy predictable romance but it totally wasn't. It was just fabulous!

I loved all the main characters, I really enjoyed the friendship between the girls and Kit was just extra 😜 The humour was outstanding.

A Wedding at Sandy Cove was a charming story from start to finish! I really enjoyed getting to know Ella, she was such a likeable character. Although I will admit at first I did want her to stand up for herself a little more. However that is easier said than done! I thought Bella Osborne did a great job of developing her character. The reader sees her gain confidence slowly but surely. Then begin to think about stepping out of her comfort zone and maybe even start achieving her dreams. Which was exactly what I was hoping for!

Kit and Ella’s first meeting wasn’t what I was expecting and I thought this was a very interesting way to introduce the two characters to each other. Kit was a little bit brooding (I quite like that) but he really did have a more sweet side to his personality that shined through the more I got to know him. I also have to mention that I really liked the additional perspective from Lucy, one of Ella’s friends. This part of the plot held a deeper and at times a little bit more of a darker aspect. I think this along with Kit’s story definitely helped to create a more rounded feel to the book.

The story moved at a lovely pace and the romance just added to an overall heartwarming feel. These parts were like being wrapped up in a hug. There was also a good combination of drama that contrasted well with the more sweeter moments. A Wedding At Sandy Cove was a wonderful story about romance, friendships and dreams coming true!

A Wedding at Sandy Cove is a sweet read about finding inner strength and belief in yourself. Ella and Kit are great main characters and I loved seeing how their friendship developed. They’d both overcome adversity in their lives and were just ready to start over when they met, each helping the other to move on with their own lives. The other characters in this story were also great fun - I especially liked Lucy and Brittany and felt they were so supportive to Ella whilst having a laugh together too. Another great read from Bella Osborne.

This is the first book by Bella Osborne that I’ve read but I don’t think it’ll be my last, the characters felt so real, the places were familiar and then scenes were so vivid that I could really picture myself inside this book as I was reading it.

I found myself really growing to both Ella and Kit, especially as you could see them getting closer but I spent the majority of the time hoping that they were wrong about their observations. I was also so hoping that they could still that their relationship had the potential to be much more than friends if they’d let it.

My favourite character had to be Isaac, what a cutie he was, and especially when it comes to Roland! I was proper chuckling along to a few scenes with him in it! The Lego scenes were really sweet and took me back to childhood memories, spending ages building models and houses and trying to find those specific pieces!

As I said I loved seeing the relationship between Ella and Kit grow but I think the growth in her confidence and self-belief was such a strong message in this book and what she achieved was incredible! And the transformations she made sounded amazing, I have a lot of respect for seamstresses and you just know that she would be working all the hours to make those Brides’ dreams come true!

A really enjoyable book that left me with a smile on my face and a desire to pick up a lot more by Bella in the future!

I have loved all of Bella Osborne’s books and wasn’t surprised that I loved this one too. There is a lot going on in this book with many characters and twists and turns which towards the end surprised me.

Just like Ella, I was a bridesmaid numerous times and never thought I would be a bride, but to work in the bridal industry must make that thought even harder. Love Ella's cat, Pirate and her friends, Lucy and Brittany who can see her flaws but want the best for her.

Easy to read and to relate to. Full of laughter and at times more serious issues. I was hoping that Kit and Ella would get together. Quirky and fun like Bella’s other books.

As we’re all gearing up for summer holiday season, the time is right for romance! In this case, I’m talking about A Wedding at Sandy Cove by Bella Osborne, a light and romantic holiday read that is chock-full of drama, laughter and – of course – oodles of brides!

I really like Ella as a character, and it was great to see her go on a real journey from not being able to stand up for herself to being a strong, determined woman who has plans and places to go.

Her relationship with Kit, which came about through a total mistake, is great to read, although – as with all my favourite romantic couples – they really need their heads banging together at a few points!

There is also an additional storyline with Ella’s friend Lucy, and I thought she was a great character – a woman who knows what she wants, but who has been affected by her early life more than she knows. When she is embroiled in the affairs of a family in breakdown, she has to face some of her fears.

As I said, lots of drama, loads of laughter and a really appealing set of characters – this is my first Bella Osborne book, but certainly not my last!

A WEDDING AT SANDY COVE
BY
BELLA OSBORNE.

YAY… a new book from Bella Osborne is always a happy day in my life.

This book has been released in four parts, but is now available as one book.

Lovely Ella has been recently dumped by her boyfriend and her boss is a complete cow.
On the plus side Ella has two best friends who always have her back and her not quite so loyal feline companion, Pirate who has lived through his own horror story.

Having agreed to go on a blind date, Ella finds herself sat alone in a pub waiting …and waiting for him to turn up. She notices a particularly cosy looking couple sat at another table. What Ella notices when they stand up to leave is that the man is someone who she knows all too well and he is not with his wife.
As Ella goes to follow the couple, she is stopped by an unfamiliar man who she assumes is her blind date… but he isn’t!
He instead turns out to be a builder called Kit.
Ella and Kit are connected by the couple who have just left the pub, and together they set out to find out exactly what is going on between them.
Along the way Kit may also be someone who could change Ella’s life for the better.

I liked Ella a lot. She is sweet and thoughtful to everyone - but such a doormat. I was willing Ella to stand up for herself and put a few people in their places.

Lucy and Brittany (as in the ferries not Spears!) are such loyal friends.
I especially enjoyed Lucy’s story that ran alongside Ella’s.
The three friends are all so different, but they gel well and bring out the best in eachother.

And as for Kit… ah what a delight. Bella Osborne truly knows how to write a male lead that will make us all swoon.

To sum up. I LOVED this book. As always, Bella has written a story full of warmth, love, drama, a bit of suspense and mystery, but most of all it is brimming with her customary wit and humour.
A beautiful story that will make your heart feel all squidgy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Out now on all formats.

With thanks to Netgalley and Avon Books for a digital arc of this title.

I originally read this book as a four part serial, which had the downside of waiting for each new part to be released, especially as they ended in cliffhangers. This complete book overcomes that issue, although the downside is that I did miss the anticipation of waiting for the next one. Ella is a very put upon seamstress who works in a bridal shop for a very unappreciative owner until she had to branch out on her own. In the meantime whilst on a blind date she meets up with Kit, who is shadowing his mother on her date.
This sums up the book, it is a mixture of laugh out moments (a Hen party is a case in point), some skulduggery and some more scary moments. Overall I really enjoyed this book, ideal for raising your spirits in the troublesome times whilst sitting by the pool on holiday or in a comfy armchair on s winter's evening.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

I had read part 1 and was immediately hooked so I was so glad to get to read the complete book. I loved Ella right from the beginning and it was so great to see her fulfill her dream of going out on her own. I was a little frustrated with Kit because of all of his back-and-forth withe Ella. He would act super interested in her only to then push her away and tell her there could be nothing between them. I was so glad when he was finally just honest with himself and willing to put himself out there for her. I was also not a huge fan of Ella's parents. They keep this huge secret from her and then use the "there was never a good time to tell you" excuse. The twist involving Kit's mother was definitely a surprise. Although the hijinks Ella and Kit get up to was amusing at times, I really wish Ella had just confronted her father about what she knew. The other part of the story involving Lucy's client's kid didn't quite fit with the rest of the story and seemed to only serve the purpose of creating a dramatic event to get Kit and Ella officially together. I was glad to see Lucy find someone who was a good fit with her, but thought their relationship became serious a little too quickly. Lucy's mom was pretty much the worst and I wish Lucy had called her out on her BS. Ella's ex was also a complete moron and I'm glad she got to see that for herself. In the end it was nice to see everyone get their happy endings - making this a great read summer read.

Originally released as a four-part serial, it's an entertaining read.

Part 1
Ella’s world is full of demanding brides, ungrateful bosses, and wedding dresses. She’s a lovely character, hardworking, constantly put upon and always trying to please others. I love the mix of laugh-out-loud hilarity and poignant moments. The believably created friendship dynamic between Ella, Lucy and Brittany defines this story and makes it engaging.

Meeting Kit is unexpected for Ella and threatens unwelcome life changes. The plot has twists, and the book’s first part has a dramatic ending, making reading the rest of the story essential.

Part 2
The second part of this engaging book has Ella starting her own business, but her horrible ex-boss Wanda isn’t making it easy.

Kit, whom she met under stressful circumstances, is helping her convert her garage. The attraction between them is simmering nicely; the mystery concerning their parents makes anything more than friendship unlikely. Brittany’s hen night is full of hilarity.

I love the characters, the dynamics between Elle and her friends, the hint of romance with Kit and the intrigue surrounding their parents. The mix of humour and poignancy continues with Lucy’s viewpoint focusing on darker issues.

Part 3
The third part of A Wedding at Sandy Cove begins with a family drama at Ella’s launch party. The reveal is surprising and leaves Ella saddened and shocked. Her relationship with Kit develops, but love never runs smoothly. Ellas’ fledgling business suffers a setback to add to her woes. Lucy has a surprise visitor and Brittany’s wedding day is eventful.

I love the romance in this part of the story that takes Ella, Kit and the reader on an emotional journey. The humour lightens the poignant moments, and Ella’s character development is evident.

Part 4
So much has happened in the first three parts of this story that I wondered if the final part would resolve everything, but thankfully it is. Lucy is loved up, and you hope maybe she can find what she wants from this relationship. The divorce case she can’t forget has startling revelations and gives the story a dramatic subplot. Ella and Kit’s friendship is in doubt with the incident at the wedding, but on the positive side, Ella’s new business is succeeding.

Full of confusion, humour and romance, this delivers the perfect ending for all the friends. I love the drama and the wit; finally, Ella’s sense of self-worth is where it should be. Do Ella and Kit have their happy-ever-after? You’ll have to read this and find out, but I loved the ending too.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
