The perfect beach read! Very easy read, lots of different types of characters, nothing complex or too many twists and turns to distract you from simply indulging yourself in a god binge read whilst sipping a nice chilled drink on your sunlounger.

My only criticism would be that it was far too sugary for me, lots of descriptions of beautiful bodies, clothes and romantic longings…. I’m old and cynical!

Thank you to the author, Netgalley and the publishers for an ARC in exchange for an honest review

I went into it expecting a romance story and got so much more. It transports you into another land where you can forget your real life worries. Rich in evocative detail Stunning!

This book is great. It has so much content in it. It is literally chock a block full of drama, family issues, and literally had me gripped all the way through. Carol is a relatively new author but if her first two books are anything to go by. Then this author has a glittering career ahead of them. Don't miss it.

This is Carol's second book and it's even better than the first.
Ariana has been left a hotel in her grandmother's will. She has been drifting along in life and decides to head to the French Riviera and the hotel. She meets the current occupier Gabriel and the sparks fly. Why has she been left the hotel? There are plenty of questions that need answering especially as the previous owner Madame Du Luc has never left her room in twenty years.
I loved all the glamour of the Riviera and of course all the name dropping, especially Michael Bublè.
There are different dramas that unfold and I love the way Carol brings it all together in a dramatic climax towards the end.
A perfect summer read.

I loved Carol Kirkwood's debut and was very excited to be offered an advance copy of this one.

The book is about the daughter of one of the main characters in the previous book so I liked this connection although it works just as well as a standalone novel. It evokes the glitz and glamour of the south of France with a dash of Hollywood. I don't want to give away any plot spoilers, but there's romance, murder, duplicity and buckets of excitement. It's a great summer read.

Another triumphant novel by Carol Kirkwood! Loved it, as I was transported into the world of A-list celebrities in Cannes. Spoilt little rich kids, fraught relationships and lots of drama. Perfect summer reading, catching a glimpse of the Mediterranean’s clear waters and cloudless sky, mingling with satin and silk and bejewelled movie stars. To say anymore might spoil this little mystery for others, suffice to say, well done Carol, when’s book three rolling off the press?

My thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins for this advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

As soon as I saw this book on Netgalley I knew I had to have it! I really enjoyed Carol Kirkwood's first book and I hoped this one would be as good. In fact it was even better! I was pleasantly suprised that the Theodosis family popped up again and that other family faces and places were in this latest novel.

Carol is amazing at setting the scene, and you are transported to the French Riviera. The book is dripping with glamour and rich and famous stars are scattered throughout the book. The passion between Ariana and Gabriel is sizzling.

I raced through this book in a weekend and I didnt want it to end. Thoroughly recommended.
