My sons and I read this book and thought it was very educational. Each chapter was an appropriate length. My tween got the most out of it, so I would recommend it for that age group.

My seven year old is currently all about the human body, and we both really enjoyed and learned things from this read. The chapters are the right length to keep her interested and the drawings are outstanding. Well, worth a buy to have on your shelf that will grow with you kids.

Human body made easy for kids, but not that easy explained for younger kids here. The book is more in the teens-aged readers, who can already deal with longer texts and difficult ones. Maybe the younger ones already got difficult biology terms, but not easily explained, in my opinion. Though maybe with images, words like synapse, lymph nodes, or even the notions of immune system can be understandable for kids.

Thank you for giving kids information without flooding them with terms they are unable to understand.
This book describes parts of the human body while keeping it age appropriate.

This is a great book for elementary students interested in science and anatomy. The chapters are short and well illustrated. All systems covered: There is a lesson for each system in the body, so your child will learn all about the body one by one! Your reader will be amazed and intrigued. It will also open a dialog for discussion and further research.

A straightforward, interesting read on the basics of the human body! The illustrations connected well with the information. I had an issue with the download so I cannot give it all stars.

This is a very simple and informative book for children. I think it would've done with more illustrations and a breakdown of everything but overall it's good for a budding doctor.

Fantastic book about the Human Body. Great way to normalize body parts and talking all about how cool bodies are with children. I recommend this book for all families with kids of all ages. As a homeschool family this is a great resource for learning about the human body.

A great resource! This book breaks down the human body into bite-size portions that can be easily understood by older and younger generations alike. I even learned a few things! My son loved looking at the pictures - I was able to teach him about the human body utilizing the great illustrations! Very simple and well put - a fun learning experience for kids!

Standard 3rd/4th grade level info. Anatomy is an important science topic that we all must understand so that we can adequately take care of our bodies. Nice cover. 4/5

A good book to encourage young readers’ interest in human biology. There are plenty of pictures and explanations accessible to these readers. A great book for sharing.

This is quite a short book but it is packed with information and pictures. I did not think that the children would get quite so much from this but they really enjoyed it and learned a lot (me too). They sat with this book all afternoon asking questions and pointing out interesting facts.

Children are brimming with curiosity and as a homeschool mom, I'm always on the lookout to take advantage of that curiosity. This anatomy book made for kids does just that. Understanding the Human Body goes into detail about each of the body's systems with fun illustrations, and tips and tricks for everyone from child to adult. Basic scientific terms are introduced and annotated diagrams help the information "stick." This book would make a great addition to a human body study for the elementary age and we absolutely loved it.

This book tells children about some of the different systems within the human body. Although short, the information is actually much more detailed than I expected, accompanied with informational pictures and illustrations.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Understanding the Human Body by Z.B. Tucker is an amazing children's book that will introduce children to biology and anatomy. Although the book is rather short and text-heavy, I found the full-color illustrations to be interesting. I wonder though how many children will be able to learn from this book. It seems more like a textbook than a children's picture book.

Overall, Understanding the Human Body is a children's picture book that should be taught in classrooms everywhere. One highlight of this book is the book's mission. According to the description, parents should "overcome the typical mindset that Biology is too hard of a subject and have them discover their new favorite subject." I think it's so great that this book aims to teach children about anatomy and biology. At the same time, this book didn't feel very child-friendly to me, so I took off 2 stars. If you're intrigued by the description, I highly recommend that you check out this book, which is available now!

Has good, basic information about body systems that are easy to read. It reads a little like a kids' textbook though, and it would be nice to include more exciting content such as cool facts about the human body.

This book is illustrated well, clear to read and very informative when learning about the human body. I’d place it useful for children aged 5-11 (Primary). This book explains different systems of the body including: cardio-vascular, lymphatic and digestive. My one drawback was that ‘touch’ wasn’t identified as part of the human senses section which I believe is important for children to know.

As a healthcare professional, I am always curious about sources made available to kids to better their understanding of science. This is a great resource! I love that it is not a long book or complicated. Each chapter covers a body system and is one to two pages long. There is an image or diagram provided as well as an explanation in easy-to-understand terms (while also providing some original medical terms). I would certainly grab this for a library, classroom, or waiting room for kids spanning a variety of ages (because I think even adults can learn a thing or two).

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

This book is perfect for kids to learn about the body! My children LOVED it, and I loved that it was full of real information that was presented in a way that would work for a wide range of audiences. Younger children might just enjoy the pictures, which were realistic without being scary or overly graphic. Older children will love reading all of the details about how their bodies work! The friendly, approachable style was eye-catching and interesting. I particularly liked the addition of all of the diagrams and the glossary. I have nothing but positive things to say about this one, and I'm so glad to have the chance to experience it with my kids!
