Thanks NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review! I can see this book being a huge hit in the library for curious kids. At least 3 kids a year come in wanting to learn about bodies and this would be a good one to start with. My one wish is that it had some early on language about how human bodies vary and that some people have different kinds of bodies (disabilities, limb differences, etc.) so that kids with disabilities and limb/facial differences could feel represented in the "we" voice used throughout.

A great book to learn more about the body and inspire children to become doctors or work and learn within the medical field. Although in the children’s category this is definitely more middle grade as while there is simple language there is a lot of information. Even as an adult with many disabilities and an interest in medicine there were some things I didn’t known! I didn’t know what plasma actually is, what the cells in bone tissues are and (embarrassingly!) that the bones in our fingers are called phalanges. The illustrations throughout were very good and clear which will help aid the learning and the word definition list at the back was a great extra touch. On a personal level I also had a giggle realising all the different ways my body is meant to work but doesn’t due to my disabilities (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome etc).

I’m glad people are making books like this. I didn’t have the opportunity to learn about these things until the school system decided to introduce it. While it’s still a little hard for my 6 y/o to understand these, this book will be a great resource to reference and get familiar with the human body. It is written very well in terms younger students could understand.

Pros: During the pandemic we are living through, I imagine that children have more questions about their bodies and health than ever before. This book is a comprehensive introduction to the human body and its systems. This book is colorful and offers many visuals.

Cons: This is not a con but is a note to readers that there is a lot of text in this book. It is not a picture book for children learning to read. I think it's more appropriate for middle schoolers.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read this book.

This is one cute and interactive Anatomy book for kids. I love bow it is easy to understand. I am medical person and had my fair share of formal classes on Anatomy and yet, I learned a thing or two from this book. A great gift to young ones who is dreaming of becoming a doctor or any allied health profession.

This was a fantastic book filled with easy to understand information about the human body. My son (nearly 10 years old) loved tracing his fingers over the diagrams of the human body and talked a lot about how interesting it all is. He read a lot of this one on his own but regularly came over to me for some understanding in a few bits so I could elaborate on parts of the body. It was very well written, the drawings were fantastic and while some of the information was a bit more in-depth than I expected from a kids book, it was written in a way that didn't go over my sons head or was too overwhelming. A great one for any kid who is interested in how the body works.

This book give a great introduction to the human body on a kids level that is very informative and fun. The illustrations were great to go along with the book.

The Author does a great job of explaining what's on the inside, what we don't see. This is a great reference to show kids to better understand their body.

This book introduces the human body to children. The book helps to explain different parts of the body by introducing basic scientific terms that help to explain the body functions and parts. The writing is included along side helpful annotated diagrams and pictures that makes the book more engaging. The book is perfect for older children interested in learning about the human body.

I'm not going to lie, this book even taught me a thing or two, or reminded me of things I once knew that I had forgotten. The human body truly is fascinating. This is a very short book, so I do wish there was a bit more to it.

Great, basic introduction to human anatomy targeted for young readers. Simple illustrations and glossary at the back help make information more accessible to young readers. References provided at the end of the book enable further research on particular topics without much searching. Would make a good reference for elementary grades.

This book offers kids an introduction to the wonders of the human body. There are sections on body systems including the skeletal, nervous, cardiovascular, lymphatic, digestive, urinary and immune systems. The sense organs are also described.

The book opens with the author noting that there are body parts that we see, as for example, a leg, and others that are invisible to us because they are internal. The author then starts writing on the systems.

This is a short book that offers clear explanations. Kids who are especially interested will find that this title whets their appetite and they will, perhaps, want to find additional resources.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.
