NetGalley’s toolkit is a guide for beginners in the book community. Not only was it set up so that even people who have no prior knowledge of the platforms could build up their social media, but the guide also provided some important tips. The colourful designs of each page made this booklet all the more fun to read. The information provided was concise, the overall guide was easy to navigate. [Guide provided by NetGalley]

Useful tips and notes for beginner or anyone who needs to refresh the basics. I had previously read these points in various blog posts of We are Bookish, and this is just a one place handle for all of those

A very informative guide to using NetGalley. Plus, it has some helpful tips for managing any social media accounts you use to talk about books. I would recommend to everyone who is reading this.

This is a great kit to up your book review game. There are some fantastic tips for books clubs and the #WeAreBookish community. If you are new here, I highly suggest that you read this first.

This provided me with a lot of information that I didn’t realise when I first started using Netgalley.

Very helpful and informative. I didn’t realise that you should tag the publisher and netgalley on twitter

Thank you NetGalley for the toolkit! This was filled with great advice on not only writing reviews but also navigating social media accounts and getting approvals for reviews.
A short and simple read for any reviewer whether they’re a veteran or a newbie!

This toolkit was quite useful and I am glad I took the time to read it. It is comprehensive and allowed me to both refresh my memory on the things I already knew and learn new things.
Thank you NetGalley for the toolkit.

A comprehensive overview of book reviewing, both specific to NetGalley and book reviewing in general, “NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit” covers everything from the basics of setting up accounts to techniques to bolstering engagement. I appreciated the space spent on distinguishing between the aims and benefits of each social media platform. So much time is often spent discussing how to succeed on each platform but rarely do guides and forums discuss what platform to divert one’s attention towards. Although so much material was covered, if one pursues book reviewing they will need to supplement this guide with other material, for nuance is lost where brevity is gained. Ultimately, this is an easy to understand, accessible guide that is great for those starting a reviewing platform or express initial interest in doing so.

Thank you to NetGalley for this toolkit!
This is a great quick overview on Netgalley and how to make your profile look attractive to book publishers as well as writing helpful reviews. It was useful to give me tips on how to effectively use my account and how to increase my social media reach.

Thanks to NetGalley for this book. I am new to NetGalley, so this guide was quite helpful to understand how to get ARCs and what publishers are looking for. This short pdf brings a lot to the table and would be helpful for any NetGalley member.

This is an absolutely fantastic guide. I picked it up thinking I probably wouldn't see much new, but maybe it would be a good refresher. But yeah, I actually learned stuff, haha. This is really comprehensive and gives tips for using different platforms. The formatting is attractive and makes reading easy and enjoyable. Thanks, Netgalley!

This is a great overview of how best to write a book review. It includes a lot of tips on writing reviews for different media platforms and is well-worth a read for anyone who would like to have their reviews noticed or who would like to be involved in writing reviews for a blog.

NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit. I’m a newbie to NetGalley and have been overwhelmed by the amount of action that goes on in the site. After stumbling through my first review I thought “there’s got to be a better way” – and there is. I was working hard instead of working smart.
This short 31 page document has all the ins and outs, hows and whys, when and wheres that you’ll need to review books without stress.
You learn how to prioritize and meet the publisher’s criteria. What’s a hashtag and how to use them effectively? How to grab your audience. What if you have a critical review? Posting to Social Media and specific audiences. The 80% rule is your friend.

This is a great resource for anyone who isn't quite sure what their book reviews and feedback should look like.
Lots of great tips and advice that will go a long way. Can't wait to put these tips to good use.
