This quick-to-read toolkit outlines the basics of NetGalley and summarizes some tips and tricks to create and successfully run any sort of bookish platform. It provides readers with a useful rundown of all the basics of getting into this community, and makes it very easy for the reader to understand everything.
As someone who is just starting to use NetGalley and has recently started a Bookstagram, I found this document to be extremely useful for me. Some of the information (such as the NetGalley tips section) was stuff I already knew due to my own prior research, but it's nice to have it all summed up in one place. As for the section regarding bookish social media platforms, I really liked how each platform had its own specific tips.
I appreciate how this toolkit covers most (if not all) the main social media platforms for bookish content as I believe that it ensures that everyone will find some useful information regardless of what platform they want to start. I do wish there was a bit more information that specifically mentions tips on platform growth, since I feel like that is one of the biggest roadblocks faced by people starting their platforms.
One last thing I'd like to mention is the over look of the document. The colours and designs on the page made it appealing to read, and the layout of the text makes it easy to read and follow. I will definitely recommend this toolkit to my other friends who are also getting into bookish social media and/or sharing the information with them as I found it to be quite helpful.. I will definitely be referring to this document constantly.

It’s short, to the point, and covers multiple platforms and points. The format is easy to read and organized well.
Wish I’d had this when I started out!

This is an excellent resource for newbies and a link to it should probably be given to every new person who signs up for NetGalley. I have acquired most of the information after blogging for several years. The one piece of advice that I wish had been driven home to me early on was: don't go on a request spree. Once you've acted like a kid with your hand in the candy jar, it's very hard to bounce back to that 80% w/o a lot of work, especially if you're still requesting books that you'd really like to review. I will mention from experience that it's an easy way to burn out and then really hard to get back in the groove.
