Worth reading for general interest or as part of wider reading on future world issues. Would be good to see an updated edition in future years taking current world events into account.

A positive outlook on what the world 'may' look like 30 years from now. I found it insightful and a relatively easy read considering the heavy topics included.

" Why should anyone take predictions about the future seriously when so may of the past have turned out to be not just wrong, but absurdly so?" asks author of 'The World in 2050, Hamish McRae.
Fascinating read here on how China will pass the US as the largest economy, bringing political tension and how India's buoyant economy is growing faster than China's.
"The key decision-makers of the next thirty years are alive now...their ideas will shape the world" observes McRae. He's been here before with 'The World in 2020' and offers a detailed and fascinating picture of where we are now, and where we will be in 28 years from now.
"What happens in Europe will matter less to the rest of the world" and it will become "more a museum of achievements of the past and less a laboratory of ideas of the future." Fascinating 🤓
