This definitely isn't my favourite Sally Thorne, but it was still worth a read.

I found the story and the characters to be quite average and because I recently read the hating game I think I was expecting more. I did enjoy this book and will definitely continue to read whatever Sally Thorne writes.

It took me a while too get into Second First Impressions, but once I did I was so invested in the story. Sally Thorne has such an amazing writing style and I love the way in which she puts words to paper. If you're looking for a cute, cosy romance than this book is exactly that!

This book took me a little while to get into. But once I got into it I enjoyed it. It was really funny which was one of the things that I really liked about it the most.

This was a very uplifting and genuinely laugh out loud read (especially when it comes to dating bios) featuring set in her ways Ruthie who was raised strictly by her religious parents and who works at a retirement village which she scarcely leaves. Although content in her own little bubble her new coworker Melanie and bosses son come dogsbody to two elderly residents Teddy start to bring her out of her shell. I really enjoyed this book, it was such fun and the characters including the degenerate residents were fabulous, you could genuinely feel for Ruthie who has clearly been affected by her past but it was great to read how her character developed once in the company of younger friends.

I enjoyed this romance. It’s a very slow burn though. The sex scenes are open door. If you liked the hating game. You’ll like this story.
