A beautiful celebration of the infinite potential of every child and a fabulous tribute to the natural world too. The text is gentle and lyrical - perfect for lulling little ones to sleep - and the artwork is stunning. Will make a beautiful gift for new babies and it's ideal for nurseries and classrooms too.

A magical book that will sing to the hearts of imaginative, adventurous little ones everywhere. The book takes you through a journey of imagined adventures with a promise to 'be wild, little one'. This repeated refrain would be a lovely element to share as a read aloud for everyone to join in. The rest of the text is rhyming and bounces you on throughout.
Each page feels like a page from its very own story book. A setting to explore with creatures to enjoy. One of my favourite spreads is the deep sea one where there is a beautiful perspective image looking up from far below and you can glimpse the bottom of a boat. Actually, there are too many spreads that I adore. There's one about storms where you have the wind whipping up dandelion heads and there's a hot air balloon fashioned from a dandelion - really stunning. There's a richness and an awe and wonder in each of the images. If you just read this book without stopping it whisks you through but it's the images that hold you and make you want to jump in like a chalk drawing from Mary Poppins. Just magical.

Oh this is a gorgeous book about encouraging children to be themselves. The text and illustrations are just beautiful. I’ll be buying this one for my tiny new great-nephew asap.

A book filled with beautiful illustrations. Be wild little one definitely let’s children release their inner selves.

An attractive, nature-themed affirmation, telling the young audience that they can soar, fly, dive, and generally go far, alongside suitable animal companions as shown in the double-page spreads seen here. Alternatively, an attractive demand that the young audience ignores being shy, and feels free to stomp and stamp, "sing for all to hear" and fill playgrounds "with a noisy sound". Generally, be a shit of a nuisance, then. I'm too cynical to think a world of Mowglis would be any better than the one we have, but the outdoorsy can-do spirit here is almost compelling enough for me to ignore that – which would make giving this four stars the obvious choice.
