This gave my last visit to the Lake district an enjoyable one. We set off with a planned walk and were expertly guided round the trail. This was a useful well thought out resource and we will be picking another for the next visit.

If you know the Lake District, you probably know a lot of these walks already. Nevertheless, it's an excellent book - well laid out, easy to read, clear maps and inspiring pictures, and probably one I would buy (even though I've already done a few of the walks!)

I’ve never been to the Lake District to walk, but this book by National Parks UK is a great place to start planning to do just that. I like that there are shorter 2Km walks, making the area accessible for those who can’t set off on long hikes. Great photos snd maps.

Wonderful pictures, detailed itinerary: an excellent guide of Lake District that made me wish I could use it as soon as possibility.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Lake District Park Rangers Favourite Walks

Being someone who lives in the area I thought this would be a great addition to add for ideas of where to have a great day out walking the fells.
It is a good book but most of the walks are fairly available in many other guides . If you are new to the area , it would be brilliant to have as it has many of the walks to show you the beauty of the Lake District.

Fantastic guidebook, looking forward to using it. So easy to folllow, and the directions are great. Nice artwork Togo along with it, encouraging you to get out there.

A nice selection of circular walks, which is great to see as so long often books give you 1 way walks which are a bit too long to do there and back apart from on long summer days. There is a variety of lengths, difficulties, and I appreciated the fact it told you whether there were boggy areas, so you know which to avoid in the wetter months. There are very clear written instructions, along with a map clearly marked with various important points. A very well written guide which I’m looking forward to trying when the weather improves. I’m going to be buying a few in this series
