The book is very interesting, and this kit is a great way to spark more discussion and conversation about the deeper themes of the story. There's an in-depth interview with the author that gives even more context to the book and her process, discussion questions, suggestions of snacks/beverages to serve at a Wilder Girls club meeting, quizzes, and some suggestions of what to read next, etc. I really appreciate these kits as they make for great inspiration for book clubs and the conversations that we all love to have about the books we read. Such a good set up kit. I’ve just finished the book and after feeling confused the author interview helped me understand the book better and the different things just made the world seem more real.
Favourite thing was the quizzes, book club meeting involved these and we all had a good laugh with them

-I enjoyed the author interview - getting insight into her creative process.
-As the usual book party host in my group, ,having food/drink/decor suggestions for the party is VERY useful and appreciated.
-The water bottle labels were a cute thematic addition.
-I liked the discussion guide (the questions were thought-provoking and open-ended) and the pairing of a playlist to listen to while in discussion.
-The quizzes and flow chart were cute activity ideas for the meeting.

Wait this is so cute! I've seen a few other book club kits and so far this one is my favorite. I do think that the author interview should be at the end, but I do love the little crafty extras like the water bottle labels and the org chart style activity. I think my favorite part of these book club kits are the "what to read next" sections and I appreciate this one has a "what to watch next" too. It's not only helpful in finding similar media, but it also sparks a ton of discussion on similarities and differences in other pop culture, like in this case the TV show Lost.

I really liked the kit! The water bottle labels were such a fun touch — I bet they'd look great at an in-person book club meeting.
The playlist and discussion guide were thoughtfully put together, and the "Love This, Read That" and "Love This, Watch That" sections had some great recommendations.
Overall, it was a solid kit. The book itself wasn’t a personal favorite, but if my book club decides to read it, I’ll definitely be using the kit!

I loved the floral-horror of this. This is a great Lord of the Flies adaptation with consideration for the nature of young women. I really enjoyed the open-ending

I read this book a while ago, but this Book Club Guide has made me think my Women's Book Club needs this book for our August Read. I have a whole a.Camp Tox Theme in mind and I can easily support a lead up to book club even with movies or a survival dinner party! Building on the idea for pre made snacks I am going to raid my local Dollar Store and take the labels off the canned food. Get my fire pit going and heat up the food in the open cans. This should be a dinner party to remember - six or eight 40+ year old women fishing a YA novel camp style.

The activities and author interview sets a wonderful stage!

This is such a cool Book Club Kit packet! Our high school book club read Wilder Girls earlier this year and loved it! They were able to do a virtual author event with Rory Power and it was amazing. I wish I had known about this book club kit at the time but will be sharing it with them at their next meeting.
